hi dear friends!

Seems to be quiet around here so I decided to find out what you all think.

What was that one moment when you thought Uma Shankar proved his love for Kanak to us?

And what was that one moment when you thought that Kanak proved her love for Uma?

Please choose one for each. I know there are many though. But one that speaks as testament to their love in the strongest way possible. Or one that touched you the most. For some love means sacrifice and for some cards and flowers. Kanum have done both, sacrifices for each other and cards and flowers. Even love messages on the back!😉

For me , when Uma came in front of the Ox to save Kanak's pouch , I was touched by his love for her. And his testimony to love was completed with not asking Kanak what was so important about it and then offering her his blind trust for life.⭐️

And although Kanak has been doing nothing but making sacrifices whether for marriage or Uma since she came back from Pushkar the second time, I was very touched by her standing in the rain with face looking up towards the falling rain until Uma finished his punishment! That was the first time she proved her love even though she herself didn't know it at The time! Enduring for love without even knowing has such a beauty wrapped in innocence and naivety!⭐️i for one was just floored with that scene! And Umas response was beautiful but incomplete. Because Kanak had proved she was a great lover, friend, and wife!

Thinking of some of the many testaments to love from Kanum...

- Uma saves Kanak from Massi sa's slap

- Uma has the Kanak necklace custom made for his new bride and puts it on her, all the while confessing that it is nothing compared to her gestures of love.

- Uma never complaining about any of Kanak's behavior to the family and patiently enduring it for love.

- Kanak not being able to bear seeing her brothers insulting Uma when he first comes to the Rathi house.

- Uma shows up for theej ceremony despite the previous days humiliation and massi sa's disagreement with Uma to insist on bringing back Kanak.

- Uma seeing the movie for Kanak

- Uma saving Kanak from baba bal brahmachari

- Uma hugging Kanak the first time

- Kanak cooking and serving Uma exactly what he likes when he comes to Rathi house even though she did not intend to continue their marriage!

Lovely post ice

There are so many cute scenes and your list is awesome

I love the scene where Kanak rescue uma from police station, her eyes speaks a lot and ofcourse she did lambi parvachan after the eyelock when uma was about to enter the lock-up but stopped by Kanak voice.

Being a crazy fan of uma, I would say he is full of love right from thieir first face off in Shivratri ( it was a very long day😉) with his awesome expressions.In Pushkar, uma tried his best to take her wife back that was so cute n premika wali scene.

Love is something that can't be rated or measured

For example all mothers love their kids equally.

But some mothers need to do more sacrifices due to circumstances. It doesn't mean that others don't love the same way.

But on the same note if we do look at the testament wise,

The first love is blossomed in Uma not in Kanak.

Uma's patience, love and all other attributes are what attracted Kanak towards Uma.

Kanak's love towards Uma is testament of Uma's love towards Kanak.

Uma accepting the love is beyond his dharam and breaking his vachan to maasi is a testament of his love again.

You are so right about the measurement of love! Indeed it is not love if it can be measured. But it touches you harder one moment then another perhaps.

For Uma love has always been there. He offered Kanak his absolute love from day one. Tried his best to be a perfect husband of course within the limits of his understanding and realm of dharam. He sacrificed, he cherished her, he trusted her, he was faithful to her, he respected her, he protected her, and took care of her needs. All when Uma didn't even know Kanak s name or anything else about her!

FOr UMa it has been a journey discovering Kanak , preserving the marriage, and now accepting Kanak for the person she is. UMa s love has gone through an evolution from conditional love to unconditional love, as we see now.

Kanak on the other hand has been on a journey of not accepting their relationship as marriage to compromising for what she considered the greater good and then finding love on the path of friendship. I would say that Umas love and sacrifices planted a seed of respect in Kanak's heart that has now grown fruit bearing love! She accepted Uma with many of his ways but now she accepts him with all the baggage he brings. ( all the loss of wealth, family problems, and situation with Massi sa) .Which is a huge testament to Kanak's love!

Oh my dear friend! That police station was more than anything a testimony to how great avi and Kanak can act! Their eyes spoke a thousand words! It was very beautiful!

And Pushkar and Umas efirst visit to Rathi house was so painful to watch! Truly only one that truly loved his wife could put up with all the humiliation and threats! And although Uma kind of deserved that from a family whose daughter he forcibly married, he thought he was right thus it did test his love and sayam! Truly love can be wrapped in flowers or thorns!

Anne's love is so persistent just like Uma which will be always there.

Mr Wentworth even though he is intially angry, he soon melted towards Anne.

The end is perfect.

Wow, what a wonderful post, Ice. It's a lovely idea to talk about Kanak and Uma statement of love.

Their story had a wonderful journey so far, with ups and downs but they never give up on each other, no matter how bad times they had to face. The bigger was the problem they met, the stronger love proved to be.Long before they speak their love they proved it by small or big facts.

Uma's love been always there and it taught Kanak to love too,until love became mature and unconditional on both parts.

Thank you for that post, this love story fascinated me from the start and I loved to recall moments of their journey.
