"Psst Shiv look" Suman whispered
Shiv smiled at Kanak on Uma's lap both asleep, Suman grabbed her phone and took a picture. The sound of the camera made Uma wake up

"What are you guys doing" Suman squealed and ran away with Shiv
Kanak laughed "Its okay, leave them"
She yawned before snuggling back into him
Uma stroked her hair "Get ready and ill take you out for breakfast"

Kanak stood up, stretching "You mean like a date"
He smirked "if you want it to be"
She ran off to get ready very excited, checking her phone she saw many messages from Rajiiv
The last one saying 'I will end my life if you dont come back to me'
Kanak read it, sighing

"Are you ready"
"Yeah" she shouted
Sending a quick message to him she promised to meet him later
An arm around her waist made her jump
"All okay"
She cupped his cheek and smiled "Of course"

He sat down with her, in the car, her eyes seemed far away, did she regret being so close with him last night?
Like she had read his mind, she turned to him and smiled "Thank you for last night"
So maybe she didnt regret it?

But then why look so sad
He nodded in return
"Rajiiv messaged me, saying if I didnt meet him he would end his life"
"So does that mean youre going to go back to him" he parked the car at the cafe

"I dont want him to end his life but I know this is probably to manipulate him, so I messaged my brother Ved who is a police officer to find him and my phone is off"

"Youre picking me" he asked bewildered
"Yes, you are my husband"
"But you love him"
"You never forget your first love and I wont forget him, but you're my husband and I am no cheat, when it comes down to it, I will pick you a thousand times over"

Uma smiled "Thank you Kanak"
"Anyway, im starving come on"
Kanak jumped out and walked to the cafe, sitting down they placed an order
Kanak sipped on her tea, smiling over her cup at Uma
"So tell me about yourself"

"There isnt much to know"
She shook her head
"I dont want to know basic things, I want to know you, what makes you tick, what makes you smile and laugh, what hurts you, what doesnt bother you and what does"

"You make me smile, my family make me laugh, I get annoyed when people treat people badly without reason and what hurts me is my fear I wont be the one you pick"
"I already have picked you"

He stood up away from the table, slamming a picture on the table of Rajiiv kissing Kanak
"You lied to me"
"Uma wait"

"Dont you dare say my name, get out of my life"
Storming out, Kanak looked at the many faces looking at her
Her lip quivered as she stood up her eyes blurry

Kanak stood up, running after Uma
"Wait please just listen to me"
He turned to face her, his eyes red and his jaw strained
"What more do you want from me Kanak, I gave you my heart, I fell in love with you"
He was now shaking her shoulders

"You love me" she asked, unsure if she had heard the words she wanted him to say or if he had really said it
He let go of her shoulders making her stumble back
"But you will always love Rajiiv"

He got into his car and started to drive but she ran infront of it
Making him stop the car
"What do you want Kanak"
"I, I"
"See you cant say it so whats the point"
Uma reversed and drove around her

Uma watched through his wing mirror at a car coming towards Kanak, stopping the car he jumped out and ran towards her, grabbing her in time.
She spun around in his arms as the car drove past them

"You came back" she muttered
He put her down "Be more careful next time, it isnt my job to save you"
Oh yeah, we will see about that she thought
Running over to the railings she stood on them

"Kanak get down" Uma shouted
"No, not until you listen to me"
"This is crazy, get down"
"No Uma, I want you to listen to me"
Uma grabbed her waist

"Okay im listening, just dont let go"
"Look I may not know if I love you yet, I may not know that, but I know you're something special and I would never want to lose you, I would never cheat on you because I do value you and our relationship"
Kanak turned, putting her hands on his shoulders, she allowed him to pull her down

"I know its a lot to ask but I need you to trust me please"
Uma rested his head against hers
"Okay, just dont"
His hand reached up resting on her face
"Dont break my heart"

"I wont, I promise" she kissed him quickly on the lips

So I know this is short and weird for a last chapter, but relationships take time and I feel trust is at times just as crucial as love, if not more
So I am going to end it here, because a confession of trust seemed the best way to end it
