Hey there all the lovely people!!
Me is back yet again with a post. Apologies for I'm late again.
Direct to discussion.
When you make a mistake, there are only three things one should do about it: admit it, learn from it and never repeat it ~ P Bryant
Massi and Bhabho are two powerhouses of their own, it's when they are on screen together the sparks demand to be ignited. The years of their experiences, their approach towards life, their family, their ideas no matter how different but these characters have a potential to bring a certain rustic charm to the whole plot.
Massi condemns Bhabho for bringing shagun for Payal, who she calls paraye ghar ki larki - this is Massi, she doesn't see another woman as a human, she cannot accept bahu as even a member of family but calls her parayi - Massi is baffled by the mere thought of this marriage proposal of Ved and Payal, suddenly she is concerned that Payal is a cow tied to his son.
Uma is the man of the hour, he walks in and announces that he has called Bhabho with shagun for Ved and Payal marriage. He clears massi's reservations by calling Payal a beti of the house, he walks towards Ved and Payal and is about to place their hands together that he stops and says he wouldn't make the mistake twice, he lets go of their hands and turns to ask Payal if she wants this union, he gives her the opportunity to decide for herself, as now onwards he wouldn't impose his decisions, but ask for consent. - that is Uma's step towards redemption, that a girl is given a choice to say yes or no... he holds her hand without hesitation, she is his little sister.
Uma is conflicted when Massi interrupts saying that Payal is married and by Dharm the marriage ain't possible, that pondering expression of Uma reminded me of Uma from the initial days of the show, how he used to give a thoughtful reply...
Uma brings Aditya's photo and says that they always taught the patni dharm to the bahu but dharm is a two way street, husband also has his Dharm to fulfil and Aditya never took up responsibility of Payal, neither to protect her nor respect her, so Payal is free of This forced bond, he throws Aditya's picture out of the house...while Massi twitches in furious agony... - that's the fate of a greedy scoundrel, life broken like shards which would pierce holes in their own future, for people like Aditya never make do with situations, they are just there to hurt family and people around them... and mothers like Massi, who despite knowing everything side with her son, as if he has been wronged. the irony of life for her that she is proud that Aditya is like her, not realizing that how vile she is.
P.s - sarvansh is beyond understanding for me, so have gladly omitted mentioning it.
