Hi ladies

With regard Uma's feelings , I will be very surprise if he has fallen out off love with Kanak so quickly. You cannot switch your feelings on & off just like that. you can hide them when you are unsure of how the other person is going to react & you do not want to get hurt.

The other thing is Uma made his decision on Mahadev's sankat, he should therefore have full belief in what Mahadev has chosen for him , in this case Kanak, if not he is not a true believer.

I think the problem with these 2 is that the marraige never really started off in the correct manner , they did not know each other , there was nothing in common, each had their own reason for staying in the relationship & both walked on egg shells. Now that both are together through choice is when the problems start as Kanak feels she should be allowed to be herself.

In terms of going forward, the only way to save this marriage is to get rid of massi as she cannot take the competition, even though she does not love Uma.

This unfortunately is what happens in society where you live in the extended family. The married couple never have any privacy, you cannot really have a good argument as everyone is listening. I think these issues are what is causing problems now, certainly in places like US & Uk,

Girls have decided that I am educated, I work why should I live in the family & want a place of their own & when they can't this has lead to divorce etc.

No offence meant. I live in my own house with my husband , my in laws live quite far & u still have issues within the family, even though there is distance. I dread to think about what it would have been like had we lived in the family.

You also find when it is the 2 of you , you are more likely to be more considerate towards each other, as you only have each other.

Please forgive me , me offence meant , but this is my Experience of life

Yes Dear
I agree with one difference, the highlighted underlined part if true, how did Uma agree to Maasi instigation, he was angry, so in anger he agreed to divorce without understanding repercussions and God sanket?

His feelings are hidden cos of maasisa but in god sanket, is it now converted to God sankat?

I like your post. Yes Uma's character is changing a little, but I think it's a good thing.
Maybe now when he realises for himself that he is feeling jealous seeing Kanak with another man ie Jai, he will eventually succumb to the fact that he loves her. This will be an enlightening moment for him.
We have seen in the past when he said he loved her it was because he thought she was the one that was meant for him divinely, because of religious signs.
He assumed she is the one and then made himself love her, but this was his brain and not his heart speaking. His willpower to do what is right as a believer made him think he loves her already, as she is his wife and therefore it is a fact that he will love her and only her.
He therefore battled his so-called love with hate because of her mannerisms and her modern nature and her stubbornness, giving her chances because he thinks she is "the one.
He then started slowly liking her for real because of how she treated his family, still not true love, but admiration for her.
Then they became friends.
After she realised that she loves him and is trying to win him over, his brain is still in charge and he is doing what he thinks is right by divorcing her.
Now when he sees her with another man jealousy kicks in and this is a jolt to his heart that is needed to show him that he is indeed falling in love with her otherwise she would never have mattered.
Before where his brain had always ruled now his heart is starting to take control, that's why we need to see a different Uma, a change that is sorely needed to make him want her for the right reasons.

Hi Lizzy
I'm impressed with your post, so nicely explained the way a heart and brain is in conflict. Thank you dear.👏
