Hey there all the lovely people!!
Since I pulled a MIA on Saturday.
Here is a quick Monday morning discussion...

The whole fire sequence was set for Kanak to realize her love... she was in Love way back but the words struck her at that time... - okay it's fiction it's understandable the liberties they can take with the tangents of the story but why only Kanak. Why the whole setting turned only Kanak... she is imagining stuff, the duppata, Flowers, the confession from daku Singh - she happy and in that zone but where does Uma fit in all this... that girl just almost died in his arms and he was angry with her... he didn't even ask if she was okay, he was nuclear on her to ask questions that didn't even matter at that time, he had to condescend her attempt to save the mangalsutra because they had conveniently decided that hey were divorcing... he left her there because he was annoyed with the unresponsive Kanak. Where is the realization curve for Uma in all this ???

That girl has started to dream, she sees him in ways alien to his self... but dreams are dreams they cannot be limited. It was beautiful sequence but is that all? Now would the focus shift to Uma?

All of that dreamy lovey Dovey mode of Kanak seems just wasted because cvs forgot to addd Uma in the picture. He is still angry - Bhai aur kitna gussa hoga ye.
Is it some kind of Bollywood logic they are trying to apply that "more one shows interest, more the girl tries to ignore. Ignore the girl and she would come running behind you

Hi Blue
I totally agree with you. I did not really see the logic for saturdays episode. Few a while Uma has been downright nasty to Kanak , he has not shown as respect, kindness or caring.

I do not see the point of having this lovey dovey episode. Uma coming like the knight in shining armour - how & why is beyond me -saving her then showing angry man avatar again & running off.

Where does it fit into the scheme of things. I do not think there will be any redemption of Uma. I personally feel that Kanak has now future with him. She will have no self respect left, as he does not treat her with respect & dignity.

This man is deaf & blind, listens to Gods signs when it suits him & ignores them when it suits him.

I think they have ruined both characters & I am very disapointed.

This is my point of view, sorry if harsh😊

Hey there
Thank you for reading and an interesting perspective...
Technically it's not logic that I am looking for - logic doesn't exist in soap land.

Uma came as a knight in shining armor, his abs flashing and putting the chain mail to shame... he carried her out of the fire and tended to her but the moment she gained consciousness he was back to being angry. Okay he was terrified at the thought of losing her he was angry at her for jumping in the fire but there was no respite in his form... that sigh of relief that she was okay didn't come across... he could have hugged her and squeezed her consoling himself that she was fine - but he didn't slip even for a second. He just went his way leaving her for th realization.

Okay she acknowledged that eureka moment that she is in love - she finally knows where she stands and why she stands in that house. Why is she fighting. That scene was actually light compared to the nonsensical reality they are living in - but where is Uma? She is in love wth the gentleman he was kind of earlier but now he is just pushing and pushing her away - whatever the reason or conspiracy he is hurting her over and over again. When would he realize that a little gesture as turning away from her breaks her heart. Insight into his side of story...

I agree with you blue but what i feel what uma is doing now is out of anger and pain of betrayal so it will take time to realize his mistakes but i expected some sweet gestures after saving her from fire but kanak stupidiity and incomplete sentences made him annoyed he expected kanak to speak out her heart but she didnt do it.Uma is frustrated now he can see love in her eyes but she is refusing to admit it.Uma is waiting for love confession from kanak becos he has already confessed his feelings. That entire fire sequences is only for kanak realizing her love.So now i am wondering under what circumstances uma will change .😲 But what happened to our sweet loving uma 😭 we are missing him alot

Even I thought the realization was a bit off.. I mean the timing of it.. When Uma is treating her like that especially.. Love is the last thing that any girl would think of..
Any the strangest thing is when Uma was all sweet to her and treated her nicely, kanak did not even consider his feelings, of course there was KMB

Similarly may be it is Uma's turn now to be in a misunderstanding wrt kanak.. But at least kanak's misunderstanding was somehow understandable but it seems like Uma has lost his brain and kurtas somewhere..

Hi blue, missed you!
Loving this discussion. But... this Uma is tempramental. He does whatever he likes and he thinks is right.

But I know that redemption will come soon after this so I'm not worried but watching him in angry mode all the time with Kanak is so heart breaking forme. I want the lovey-dovey Uma back.

He used to be so cute around her, now it's Kanak against the world, but it only shows how strong women can be so go #feminisim :D

Hey there
The timing of realization is definitely a bit off keeping all circumstances under consideration... but as they say the worst of situations bring out the truth... initially Kanak was upset about the missing mangalsutra but then she realized Palomi has stolen it and a woman as they say can tolerate anything but not another woman. She jumped recklessly in the fire and she got her moment.
But Uma who came to her rescue, shook her, pleading her to not leave him... he turns cold the moment she opened her eyes. Not a moment of relief in his stance.

This is all the Bollywood logic - run behind the girl and she would ignore... start ignoring and she would start running behind you.

Might be Kanak hiding away all his kurtas.. so that Palomi doesn't pick one out for him 😆

Hey there
Thank you for reading and commenting.
It's a different perspective and positive one too.
But I wouldn't exactly agree to the "ism used here... Kanak against the world is one perspective whereas the same Kanak is dumb enough not to walk out, dusting her hands with all the filth that has been thrown up to her. Kanak staying to fight is strong and Kanak moving on is strong too. It all comes down to where one stands and perceives.

Dear blueflames ,
Glad to see you back. Consider me dense but what is a MIA?
Getting back to discussion, I saw the episode several times since it was the one ray of sunshine ( that things may soon change) since two months of gloomy dark days. I could have sworn that uma did say " thum theek tho ho na" to Kanak. So he did ask if she is ok. Yes he wasn't loving like he used to be before the angry young man avatar. And he was scolding her but even that seemed love to me because he always treats her like a child. Firstly, becuase she is many years younger than him and secondly because she does immature stuff.
And I get the no logic in the episode. There are so many questions that come to mind, like why did palomi have to go that far in such a dramatic and over the top fiery place to burn the mangulsutar, how did Uma come at the right place and the right time to save kanak, how did kanak save the mangulsutar without any damage to it or herself, or how did Uma find the right herbs that could actually save someone from burns or smoke inhalation? And my biggest question how could Uma possibly leave the house without his Om ring or sexy belts?!😃

Hey there Ice
Nope just because you don't know something and you didn't google it already doesn't mean you are dense. MIA means missing in action.
Not going in the logical aspect of the episode...too much for one day. Uma crushing that herb was exactly us the audience expectations being crushed. Not even a single hug, to squeeze some life into her.
- I get that Uma treats her like a child and scolded her for her reckless actions ... but just scolding is not enough... he can slip at times ... he doesn't have to be stone all the time. He loves her and he is angry because he can't help himself...but some leeway or insight into his character would be appreciated.. But that might just be me being Oliver Twist asking for more.
