Scene - I (Kanak and Uma in movie theatre)Kanak and Uma are watching the film as a man comes and sits beside Kanak, Uma notices him and asks the man, "Excuse me, can you please sit somewhere else, my wife is sitting here." Jealousy and dharm combined in his tone, which seemed very serious.
The man answers, "Sorry mister, but this is a cinema hall and I have paid for this seat."
Kanak immediately senses the tension and is worried that the film has just started and it looks like the plan might flop because of this obstacle. Uma takes out money from his kurta, and gives it to the man and tells him that he has now bought the entire row, so the man should move now.
Kanak in a desperate attempt to save her plan and advises the man to take the money as it's a lot and he could come with his entire family to watch the movie again if he wanted. The man takes the money and changes his seat.
Seeing Uma like this Kanak thinks to herself, "No matter how his thinking is, but I have to admit, my husband is indeed very interesting and unpredictable. One can never tell what he might end up doing."
Kanak soon tries to make small talk, she tells Uma, "Look at him, he's so dharmic, keeps away from all kinds of intoxication, don't you think he's a bit like you? I mean, like us..." and Kanak is yelled at by the people in the hall telling her not to talk. To which she apologises.
Kanak is seen giving herself a pat on the back as Uma is so immersed in the film, he won't reply to her at all! She tells Uma how Bajrangi has changed himself for the little girl, a man who stays away from eating non-veg, has bought the little girl so that she can have chicken. And she gets yelled at again, for talking, followed by an apology from her.
The song sequence starts where Uma imagines himself in place of Salman and Kanak; as his Kareena. Kanak is happy to see that Uma is enjoying the film.
Scene - II - Out of the movie hall
Kanak calls out for Uma, "Uma! Why aren't you saying anything? Do you think what Bajrangi did for the little girl was right? He broke his rules and principles for that little girl that he loved, don't you think it was the right thing to do?"
But since Uma doesn't respond right away Kanak tells him to take his time if he wants when replying, and that they should head home. But then, Uma calls out Kanak's name, "Kanak, what Bajrangi did, was the right thing to do."
Hearing this pleases Kanak and she turns around to face him and asks, "If it were you, instead of Bajrangi then would you have done the same for someone that you love? Would you change your rules?"
To this Uma replies, "I already have broken a rule for you, for your happiness I watched this movie with you, is this not proof enough of my love for you?"
And it seems that this little confession meant so much more to Kanak than it did to Uma. Kanak stares lovingly at Uma, who seems to be staring right back at her, but in his eyes, there is some guild. (Mayne he knows what's coming, he knows his punishment, he probably knows it's going to be hard, but he did it for her happiness anyway. At least that what it seemed like to me, especially with that kind of background music.)
Scene III - Kanak and Uma on the road
Kanak is surprised to see that the movie has left a big enough impact on Uma, he uses a mobile to inform Saras that he will be buying a tablet, tells Suman that she's old enough to go out alone and that Shiv doesn't have to hide his emotions anymore. He even offers an injured lady his treatment.
And last but not the least, Uma asks Kanak, "Will you be my friend?" Kanak is so happy to hear these words and grabs onto Uma's hand and shakes it vigorously saying,"Yes, yes I will, with all my heart and this friendship will never end, never".
But the thing with dreams is that they are shortlived. Kanak soon realises that she was dreaming as in reality, she's choking her husband to death while he's asking her to let go of him.
Uma reprimands Kanak about being unpredictable, and naive, and Kanak is about to respond but Uma interrupts her and tells her that he is leaving because he has some work and she can come by herself when she wants.
Translator's notes: Did Uma already know he'll be taking punishment and didn't want Kanak to feel bad so didn't tell her? Because last time Mr.Ladnun was all, you're not going out alone without me, and now he left her.
A blooper, or intentional?
