Hey there all the lovely people!!
Me is back yet again today. Direct to discussion.
Decisions are always the hardest to make, there is no definite yes or no, white or black... there are a million scenarios playing through ones head, twisting and pulling every thread apart...but in the end it's all about what the heart wants. There can be no logical reason/solution to everything, everything in life is a series of decisions, some good some bad, they all give life lessons and most of all experience that yes a life was lived despite every up and down. One didn't choose the safest option and stayed in the comfort zone where life didn't actually happen.
Kanak has made up her mind, she is to return with Uma to Ladno. Vedansh oppose her, her decision -- they are not wrong, Uma does live differently, his belief, ideals and life has been completely different from what they have known. And they as of now only know the obvious upper layer of Uma, they don't know that beneath all this is a strong man, with a strong character, a good human being.
Kanak says her decision is based on her upbringing, Rathi house was divided for years but no one stepped back from the relationship and did everything necessary.
So is she going to do, she is going to hold on to the relationship she made in Uma's house. Meena asks her the most important question "does she love Uma" Kanak says no, because she is not blinded by love but her sense of duty/responsibility towards her own self, as she won't be able to live with herself if she backed out from this relationship now. Vansh says that she is insulting Sandhya by accepting that Stone Age mentality people - the look that crossed Bhabho and meena was interesting. I remember Rathis household to be stoic, different with all the rule and regulations in their own way, Sandhya and time brought changes and that's what Vedansh and everyone is so proud of today.
Uma came with his bag, as soon as Vedansh are to open their mouth, Kanak takes him to his room, everyone is left dumbfounded. -- Kanak has done her part of rebellion in the family, it's kinda weird walking through while everyone is watching. Uma is a person who can be positive in every situation, and maybe that's the best about him. He says that everything happens for a reason, if they had left that day itself he wouldn't have got the chance to live in Kanak's space. Everything in that room has a story to tell about Kanak, it's part of Kanak, be it the pictures, hanging lights or the messed up cupboard- the way everything fell on him, was cute, that hanging bra was awkward but they maintained decorum, but the best thing was Kanak stuffing that cupboard back up effortlessly.. Uma says he wouldn't be able to sleep knowing that cupboard was messed up, Kanak replies that she too has had many sleepless nights at his house -- this is Kanak, she can be all brave, emotional and decisive in front of family, but she is her wittiest best in front of Uma, she would never let him win, she would turn the things her way when they are alone. In their little world Kanak would always be different and unrelenting and Uma would accept it.
P.s - I am highly suspicious that Uma is going to fix her cupboard, but eve if he doesn't then it would be that he is okay with her mess.
