I apologise in advance. Strictly my point of view, no offence intended.

Since day 1, and by day 1, I mean since the promo launch, I have disliked Uma. Might be because of how I am as a person and my perspective. But being an "educated" and an "independent" woman(17), I can't relate to his character one bit. Most of the people seem to favour him over Kanak, and I am unable to understand why. He is a stubborn, male chauvinist, and a dominating man who appears to be blinded by his devotion. I don't think I have ever disliked any character this much in my life! Lately, I can't fathom Kanak's actions either :/

While many people comment on Uma's good looks, I can't relate to it also. I don't find him good looking. Sorry, again just my opinion.

One thing I love about this show is the bond between the three siblings. Very endearing:) Also loved Shiv, a pure, innocent child and Saraswati, a young but mature lady. A special mention to Maasi sa, one of the very few mother in laws on screen, who analyzes a situation before taking any action. One more thing I love about her is that she is fair in her decision making. Obviously, at times there is a clear bias towards Uma, but the motherly affection is understandable! Also, the sets (Especially Uma's bedroom and washroom) and the costumes for the ladies in this shows are beautiful:)

Also note, this comes from a girl who very much believes in God and who is religious as well.

That's about it. Hope to see some less-dramatic episodes in the future! :)

I don't think anyone supporting Uma for being MCP.

But.. the fact he is honest and straight forward

He follows his Dharam so strongly

Kanak lied and used the whole family

Everyone here supported Uma arrest and want him to be punished for forced marriage

We all want to see Uma's redemption track

One best thing about Uma he is not pretending as well can't be manipulated by others

Where as so called broad minded man are not actually broad minded and they pretend

the cv's of tsmsp are very manipulative people here dear..😆..i wont say i hated him from day1.my day 1 was when i saw him with the bg score..and its the.music that made me want to see more..so i liked him first..then i saw the marrg track..i became a hardcore hater and stopped watching it..again after some days heard the song and again made me.hooked..this time.i saw him a composed man with very high patience..and a very beautiful smile..well i began liking him for his smile..the forced marriage thing ponders in the back of my head and i hate him.when i think abt it..thats what the cv's are doing..one day they show uma as a total mcp..next day we see a total different shade and we somehow wants to see more of him..
my head is so messed up that i myself dont know if i hate him or love him..

I think none of us are supporting Uma. But I know what you mean Even though he has got that caring side, it's a mental torture to have a husband like Uma. I would keep banging my head or one day bang his head. I could handle some of his irritating habits but not his with backward thinking and his overprotective nature. Look at him today he just pops up anytime .Yeah being someone's shadow is nice but he's s satellite. Bet kanak thought today he dropped me off to the taxi and he would back to his hotel and I'll talk to him tmrw. She's going home to be with family and drop the bomb to them that she retracted her statement. Knowing her family would be angry, she don't need Uma popping up making it harder. He just never gives her space. Urrrggghhh! So annoying. Like leave me alone for a while man I need rest and think things properly. He's the type that he'll say why you meeting your friends I'm here for you my darling 24/7.

(One thing I don't understand in today's episode why kanak said to Uma stay here after they had a very dramatic day.its not like they're happily married. He could've gone back to his place)

But having said the above and after after spending 20 days with him i would know that he's no danger to me anymore he's just weird in his own way and is born in the wrong era. And keep talking to him and explains as when kanak talks and explains he does listen...

one thing I like about Umas character is is that he is not a backstabber. He is honest as then you know where you stand with him. And his calm way calm way of dealing with things. he would never cheat on you possible tyaaag ( )

Also about looks no offence taken. I know I'm fidha over him I suppose like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 😆 😆 😆

It's not just you, I've disliked him from the beginning as well. Everything you said there is the same for me too.

I hate that he married her forcefully, I'm completely against that and seeing Kanak not do anything about it now that she's with her family and they're all supporting her disgusts me, I even stopped watching the show cause of it. I'm religious as well but there's no way that I, an educated person in this day and age would tolerate Uma and definitely not his extreme "devotion" (if it really counts as that) as an excuse for his actions. It's the same for his looks, I don't know what people see in him but what they find good looking is their choice, clearly mine is not even close to theirs.

Kanak just makes me angry now, I just can't reason with what she does anymore.
This show just isn't for me, I don't even watch Indian shows cause they're not for me in any way, but saw the promo at somewhere and thought of giving it a try, can't believe I was stupid enough to waste my time after it.

I wouldnt say I dislike uma but i feel like i cannot connect to him and its been like this since day 1. Infact, i fast forward through most of the kanum scenes because of uma's robotic nature. Im guessing thats what he is supposed to be like but because of his lack of emotions and his domineering nature and the way he speaks I dont see any chemistry between the duo or feel any sympathy towards him. I wish i could change that, i mean i want to love these characters and want to enjoy the show but i dont feel the craze i once felt while watching dabh. Infact Kanak annoys me a lot these days especially her continuous emotional drama and indecisiveness.
Like you have mentioned above, I eagerly wait for the scenes that involve the rathi siblings, shiv/kanak scenes, even masisa. But nothing about kanum excites me.🥱

You're not alone. I feel the same way. Diya aur baati hum tried to spread the message to allow a daughter-in-law to study and work if they want to but in this continuation the exact opposite is shown. Uma is the most unlikeable lead. He forces Kanak to get married and even used physical force to bring her back when she tried to escape. Where is star plus' promise to spread good social messages now? Now that Kanak has admitted all of her mistakes, why is Uma not doing the same? He hasn't apologised to her or her family. He hasn't even admitted that he forced her to get married. And then he had the audacity to say that he respects women lol. This show should be set in the future according to the timeline of Diya aur baati but Uma and his family are living in the dark ages. Now we have to watch Kanak bend to Uma's will and do whatever he wants. The only rational characters are Ved and Vansh.

I dislike too. Don't like at all. 👎🏼😡Lately disliking the girl also.
Uma should drink Suraj's feet washed water first. But Suraj is in heaven romancing with Sandhya. Miss them and their characters.❤️
