This question kept lingering in my mind for quite few days...

What if TSMSP is not DABH 2?

Kanak is introduced as bubbly girl who yearns for her Dadi's love

We can't take few qualities compared..

We don't like when Uma and Kanak being compared with Sooraj and Sandhya...

We don't like Kanak being referred to have sharp brain as Sandhya as Sandhya never did stupid stuffs

I watched DABH ...but the reason for me to watch is not it's sequel of DABH.. anyways I try a new show always ... the only positive point for me is my faith in the makers

I left many new show s after first 2 episode s... but continuing this one
I felt Uma character is different ..Kanak ,not new

I feel ..it is good if these chars are different from DABH chars... or else will feel monotony

I think it's a sequel only because it's based on S&S daughter's story. Implicitly some characters of this show or other elements (music, happenings, related facts) are brought in.

But d show itself promotes d fact dat she's a mix of Sooraj n Sandhya..remember, Ved saying "itne to hum bhi nhi h mumma papa k jitni ye h" when Kanak was crying outside d temple, in Kerala!!

I think we'd still be having the same conversations about Uma and Kanak even if TSMSP wasn't DABH2. It's just that instead of comparing the characters to anyone specific (which I haven't seen that much of anyway) we'd only be calling them out on their choice of actions.

Dabh is a brand that SP wanted to retain, in fact I see it as a bigger brand than IPK it terms of TV market and business

It was the only show which held on to Nayi Soch concept and succeeded at the same time

The reason for starting sequence 2 is because they know the loyal audience it had. It was evident during the launch of afternoon slots where it garnered better trps than any other afternoon shows

I don't follow part 2 but stalks Once in a while to see whether is there any mention or flashback of suraj... but majority viewers will continue watching for the connection they had with the show

Kanak being suraj sandya's daughter will make people root for her, a show becomes a hit when audience root for an individual or couple...that's why the makers always delay love track confession milan etc

The channel and production are still heavily promoting the show and the couple as DAbh 2 and Surya 2...so comparison ought to happen...

Dabh wasn't about how perfect were suraj sandya...it had maximum trps when one of them succeeds with the help of the other... that's their secret formula...from track 1 till the end...
