This my personal view but I think Uma claims to love Kanak but in every step he put conditions on kanak and true love means accept some the way he she is , true love means unconditional love, not to use mobile, eating on bhram muhrat, and punishing kanak for eating onion and that time kanak was unaware about onion thing instead of saying that we don't ear onion they punish her without her fault even he compare his restrictions with shivji but shivji gave equal rights to gauri and he himself said shakti ke bin shiv bhi shav h and kanak always hidden motives I can't understand for whom to glorify makers make lead looks like villian 😡

Uma and True Love - you made me LOL.
He is a husband of my nannys era - 60 years back. His rule OBEY ME - FOLLOW MY ORDERS I AM THE MAN CALLED HUSBAND.
I will give you rights of being wife - which means I will sleep with you and you can have kids and family to look after.

He loves her truly as far as I see. He was in so much love that he married her without even knowing anything about her.
He accepted her once she fled fro kerala. He didn't check her bag in cow incident. He did tatto on her behalf. He is too possessive she doesn't let her take wet hair outside. He is so proud of her beauty.. he is always taking her hair out from front.
He didn't touch her without her permission. Now any man would have understood Palomi s interest in him and married her . But he waited for his soulmate for some kind of signal.

Now coming to post kerala when kanak asked for gehna, jameen on first night itself he didn't hesitate he opened his safe for her. He is concerned if she is not getting sleep. He smells her hand with cow dung as well. He forgives her after alcohol incident. In rambha test also he agreed with her flawed reasoning.
If uma was so hard, kanak would not even get to chance to say things like she said after payal theft, payal adoptoion incidents. He has beliefs . So does kanak.

Its true loves happens with the person as it is without any reason.he has loved her with that only even when she is not similar to him.
If we love somebody we will love... Howsoever different

Uma didn't marry Kanak because he loved her...🤔

He married her because he believed her to be God's "chosen one" for him.

Had it been anyone else in Kanak's place with whom all those "signs" had occurred..he would have married them and "loved" them equally. For him everything he does springs from his dharam and that is above anything.

It is his dharam that dictates that he love and respect his wife...accompany her wherever she goes...mold her into his ways rather than accept her as she is...and give her enough leniency to keep some information and thoughts private. It is his dharam that dictates that if she passes the good wife tests she can stay...and if she fails she will never have the rights of a wife. It is also his dharam that gives him the strength to practice restraint rather than force himself on Kanak.

Uma loves his dharam.

I think that is why everything Kanak does...right or wrong...has a great impact on him...because he takes it as a direct evaluation of his bhagti for Shiv.

Does he have any genuine love for Kanak at all?

Probably. She's like a breath of fresh air in his otherwise boring existence. But his love is not unconditional...not yet anyway. I'm okay with that for now, because honestly their relationship is so new and needs time to flourish. The rest remains to be seen.

So true, it is NOT love - he is doing all these for his so called dharam... and CVS can not justify his behavior by showing us his past - at least - I don't buy it

If he really loved her - should have waited for her approval before marriage ...should have tried to win her love before forcing in relationship...

it is like only US and his wish/dharam matters... nothing else ...

I don't know if it is the acting or the character that looks excessively rigid. I am not feeling Uma's love for Kanak.. In Kerala, I saw some tenderness but not after that. Kanak was also playing games for a while. He talks of being in love but right now I feel like he does it as a rule of dharma.

Uma didn't marry her because he loved her, but because he followed the signs he thought Lord send to him. He was attracted by her and proud about his beautiful wife and hoped she will become his dharm patni. Nothing more in the beginning.
Later he discovered she is smart, sharp, cute, funny. and so on. He started feeling for her (he was hurt when she had to be punished or do unpleasant things). He has started joking like her and being glad of it.
This are not asked from religious point of view, these are signs of love. Maybe they are more signs that i don't remember now.
Step by step he deeply fall for her.
But so far i've never seen a sign that he could pass over his dharm for her. Dharm was always stronger. I'm waiting for the moment he will want to change for her, to stand for her in front of his family, to chose her happiness instead of following rules. Than she will be able to love him too.

I dont know the intracies of love. But love can happen due to any reason beauty, swag, wealth and in umas case signals.
Like in arrange marriages ppl start loving because they know noe its their spouse. Same way for uma he thinks they are made for each other. If it was only dharam then he would not have taken her back aftet kerala escape, alcohol incident.
Once love happens you got attached thqt reason should be lost.
Now u should just love and stand by taht person

E.g. in umas case he didnt leave kanak as soon as payal told him. He wanted to still check on kanak. If only his dharam mattered he would have left a cheater then and there.

I think its love. As i believe love is care. If somebody cares for me without getting anything out of it its love.

uma is blindly in love with dharam..dharam made him.marry her...dharam.made him punish her for.mistakes..dharam made him appreciate her for when she does her duties well..his actiins have always been based on dharam..but love comes with time...it has already started making an impact on him..the way he made joke with vansh..and accepted it himself its kanaks influence on him..that is a little spark of love..smelling her hand after she used cowdung..thats also love...these things have nothing to do with dharam..the look on umas face when kanak made that sweet dish just like umas mom and when kanak saved umas mom..thats love..but he is not really aware of the difference..it can be understood only with time..and when both partners are in love with each other, both of them makes adjustments for eachothers happiness..so both uma and kanak will blend their feelings and beliefs with time..that is my hope..both are not wrng in their beliefs..but forcibly imposing their own belief on the other is not love..when he stops forcing his belief and rules in her..then we can officially say that he is full on in love with her...
