It has been long time Uma explained all the qualities of Patni-dharm and Kanak disagreeing with each and everyone of them. Recently we saw Kanak fulfilling these qualities. But how many of them are legit. Here's my opinion:
Karyeshu Dasi: Kanak was right. Wife should get some respect. Okay a husband can ask his wife to do "some things like wash my clothes or iron them, serve me food even, and if there is something going special in the house, help him to set everything right. Okay get a little bit of head massage once in awhile. But why should she eat in your unclean plate, wash balcony with cowdung, and drink your feetwater. Those are ridiculous.
Karneshu Mantri: I think this is legit. A person can not always think in proper way. He/She needs some advice, some guidance to go the right way. What husband does is afterwards, but a wife should give him good advice.
Bhojeshu Mata: A wife needs to cook for the family to eat. This is legible. But what if she doesn't know how to cook like husband's mother? A husband should not force her into it.
Shayaneshu Rambha: This should happen only when both the husband and wife are in love.
Roopeshu Laxmi: Looking good or bad is natural. So we should not judge that. This is really illegible. And saving husband's money is acceptable. A wife or anyone should know ways of saving money because it is a way of living
Shamma Dharitri: This is legible. One should always keep patience while doing every work. Don't we see Uma doing everything with Patience everyday?
So these were my thoughts. You may agree or disagree with any thoughts of mine. Pls reply with your thoughts about qualities of an ideal wife.
