Hey there all the lovely people.
Direct to the episode today, as I am already late in posting.
Today's episode was all about betrayal. How things are in front on the eyes, right in front of one and one is unable to see through it. Two parts for the episode
Nirmohi --- word of the day. Kanak walks towards the pooja, not as a participant but as a general viewer. She had to attend the pooja for her little devar shiv. She sees her picture besides Uma... she is taken back in disbelief, a horror strikes through her soul and she utters in bewilderment that there is no difference between a human and a picture. She composed herself and walked to the pooja, smiled at shiv and took a place in the last row. All the ladies moved away inches from her, leaving her in a space that left her unwanted. She looks at Uma and he looks back, their eyes asking a million questions, the hurt, the pain, the disappointment, feeling unwanted Kanak said it all with silence. Uma couldn't take his eyes off her, he wanted her besides him, yet there she was lost, hurt and distant to him. Their eyes spoke volumes but I don't think 'they could understand each other' they could see the surface but not the storm hiding beneath that calm, they both had expectations from each other, and both failed each other. None stood for the other and they are there sitting and looking at each other, wanting to scream, hold and comfort other, yet distant and miles away from each other.
Kanak was sad, depressed, silent today yet when shiv's ceremony was progressing she was happy for him. Her joy made her overlook the betrayal she felt... she even smiled when Payal was asked to be shiv's gurumaa. But the way Uma looked at Kanak said clearly that he wanted this title for her...Kanak too desired it, but she was happy for Payal nonetheless.
Uma gives a 'damru' pendant to shiv, saying that this is a start to be like him. Shiv goes to Kanak and asks for a gift, but she is hesitant, shiv takes ashirwad and says your love is enough for me -- this little kid is wise and smart beyond his age. For him materials should be enchanting but there he is happy with just Kanak present there, her love, affection and ashirwad is enough for him... this shows how important Kanak is to him. A place earned in his life with care n love. Payals mother taunts sweetly that Kanak has forgotten the gift... but Kanak gives it back to her by presenting a gift to shiv, she hesitantly brings the pendant out and it's revealed that Uma and Kanak had bought similar gifts. Shiv is overjoyed and states that these two think so much alike, While everyone else look impressed with Kanak.. Kanak and Uma look towards each other.
I was wondering yesterday how would the ice be broken... Kanak was silent, everyone moving away from her. But today I think that having a similar gift, made a dent in that ice. Kanak would be more silent maybe, more focused on doing the challenge.
Coming to the second part : it's Golu weds Rani. Why are all the weddings in this show either forced or secret. Rani has kinda forced Golu into this marriage.. it might seem as a comic relief from more serious issues prevalent.. but is it really comic. I understand Golu and Rani are interested in each other, they love each other and Rani was instigating him to express his love towards her, to accept her in front of the world, in front of his mother... but what did they do today. They got married secretly, and when meenakshi and babasa reach there Golu is terrified of being caught and they both hide the fact that they are married now.
Golu betrayed his own mother, instead of waiting for her approval he jumped the gun and got married, and now when his mother right in front of him, he still can't accept it to her. Rani on the other hand wanted acceptance in front of the whole world, a confident man who would love her cherish her, be with her as strength and support, one who would make her a real Rani -- by real Rani I mean 'his queen'. But what did Rani settle on today, secrecy, a man who tremble at the mere mention of his mother. A mother whom he loves devotedly and is scared of hurting. She settled on a man who is scared of accepting her, their relationship a secret. -- how do these two intend to move forward is beyond me. What was the dire necessity to get married today itself. Why not wait for acceptance from family... why the secret.. what are they waiting for now, to have kids. Meenakshi might comes as a jovial lovely person, but she has seen a lot of pain in life, betrayed by her husband, her house broken, her family torn apart, she invested herself in Golu and how does Golu pay her back. Atleast be decent enough to be truthful to ones mother.
