This post is two parts, about yesterday and today both.
Lets start from yesterday. I was dying to make a post, but couldn't find the apt words to describe the performance and perfection of the episode. The way Kanak said "you will be mine" the expressions on Uma's face was of awestruck, that someday these words would be for me. He is already hers in front of her, but she is unable to see him, acknowledge him.-- but is Uma really by her side at this moment. He is all set to give her up, but does this decision effect his influence/involvement in her life. US asks her to massage his head, and lies down in her lap, at first Kanak is hesitant to touch him, but when he holds her hand and places it properly she does it with intent, lazy slumber taking over her. They both fall asleep peacefully in perfect unison... they were both present in that moment. --- here I was pushing the expectations too far, I was hoping for a Morning of entangled limbs, but US woke up prim n perfect at his usual spot.
Coming to today's episode - one rarely realizes when friends turn foe, they backstab the hell out of one and leave them in hell, wondering what went wrong when and where. Was Payal really a friend?? Friends go deeper than appearances and everything, they don't have to agree to anything n everything, they are two people with different perspective and idea and how they culminate these two pov is what binds them. I don't believe that Payal was friend to a Kanak. Kanak being the bearer of women right flag, saw her in despair.. she sympathized with her when nobody gave her pain a second glance. Kanak gave her the idea of freedom, she gave it selflessly, as she thought Payal was caged like her. Payal has turned against Kanak and Kanak doesn't even realize it. She looked at Payal today when Massi was questioning but Kanak was in deep waters by then. She made it clear that she didn't meet suman, but she was declared impure by Massi.
Payal the sweet innocent woman is clouded by a jealous, callous and conniving woman. The idea of status, jewelry is taking over all her goodness. I understand she is influenced by her mother, the way she ogled the necklace that was given to Kanak made me have second thoughts, is that how shallow Payal is. -- this is another picture of our society, how mothers/families influence ones idea of importance of material and status over everything else. Okay it's important but it's not the only thing, one doesn't need to undermine others to make one appear on top. Today for the first time I thought Kanak was in actual sasural, rules apart, first time she was intentionally framed for something.
Thoughts for debate --
Payal is lying for her selfish agenda, is it different than Kanak when she was in her lying phase??
Prediction for tomorrow--
Although daasi dharm is expiring in 5 mins... Kanak would go through the ritual of drinking shuddi water, due to 'mother' avatar. She is to turn guru maa for shiv. She might undergo that ritual for shiv. Her next exam would be of 'mother' -- but this is pure speculation. Anything can happen.
