With light all things become clear and visible. Misgivings, misconceptions, misunderstandings are exposed. Yet there is a matter of seeing both with the naked and the discerning eye. The naked eye dispels perceptions as the truth is on display. The discerning eye, uses the inner or the mind's eye.The discerning eye may be intuitively triggered by the benefit of doubt. However what is seen by the physical eye is based on one's conclusive judgement, formed by hard core evidence. Today's episode is based on the back fire of a hatched conspiracy. Kanak sets out to seek knowledge of how Uma Shankar swindled her Bhabo? She hoped to enlighten herself ,so she plans her further strategies to get even with Uma Shankar for his misdeeds with her ,and her family. Suddenly her crusade also involves showing Payal her way of life in a new light. The light of gaining access to many secrets buried in Uma's heart is Kanak's purpose. She puts a plot in place but it goes horribly warped.. the liquored jaleebi's end up intoxicating Kanak not Uma..the situation turns around. The listener turns into the speaker. The speaker listens in shock instead. Kanak commits a most unlikely blunder. Potent pungent spirit releases her chained sentiments..
One way of laying her soul bare is through drunken and disorderly behaviour. This state makes civilized people expose themselves mentally and emotionally. Often the onlooker can not only hear, see their trauma openly .But sensitive onlookers can also pick up on some underlying grief that provokes the person to take such a step. Uma watches god smacked. What is the meaning of her theatrics?
Can he discern , Kanak's song, dance and defiance before him has a purpose to it? Seems to him vividly, it's a gush of frustrations that bursts the dams of all civility! The scene is exaggerated to bring out the impact of the emotional baggage Kanak carries. The scene is where a lady goes brashly un-lady like. Her body language is threatening!.The way she hurls herself at him! peers into his eyes! she protests! It's a demonstration, he scare's all of Ladnu but he doesn't scare her! His fine looks impress the world but her not!.. was this then a Freudian slip ? she just may be attracted to his physique too?
To me , the ball is really in Uma's court now. Seemingly he is of sane mind, while Kanak is clearly spiked to the hilt. He has to pick out the bold signals Kanak gives. The questions she raises about his principles .He has to grasp it's not about making a woman he barely knows wash his underpants. But it's how he assumes , the woman would do so silently. Never did it cross his mind, that even a bold girl could feel uncomfortable? Kanak in her stoned unconventional manner tries to shout out! he needs to know how his other side, his woman lives, thinks and feels. May not be his way but nevertheless the world is made up of people from different walks of live. Uma mighty man , dignified and glowing with the light of enlightenment, also needs to bear in mind that the less significant and vulnerable in society too have a rightful say and do qualify for equal respect as the high placed and esteemed.
Kanak's drunken banter he needs to fathom is about equality of rights for women too. Surely faith teaches equality and recognition of strengths, weaknesses ,potentials of both man and woman. His heavy handed principles! to her appear rigid and lacking flexibility. He fails to take a person's special needs and grants them no allowance what so ever !it's his way or no way. Her scoffing and mocking that she has violated his set in stone principles is a ploy to accentuate the cry Kanak makes to him! His principles have all been blown to bits! All gone! Because the mighty saint Uma's wife swaggers about drunk!
To me this is Uma's test.. he aspires to change this girl, his sandalwood fragrance girl! Will he stand by her messy emotional mind ..will he iron out the differences between them? For differences there are many? Does her drunken stupor awaken him up from some deep slumber? That while he slept the world has moved on it bit. Perhaps it's time now to tackle this changing world with its new age ideas ,with adapted strategies? Where he gives light and receives new light in return too. Mind you he has a wild filly on his hands! However I suspect that Uma will keep Kanak as his wife out of love..and not out of putting her down personality wise. He has too! If he aspires for the idyllic lamp and wick relationship.. one incomplete without the other! the scene is entertaining, lined with outrageous comic overtures! But nevertheless.. a letting it all out by Kanak! which will, ultimately bridge the gap between this most odd couple..
There was the light of truth in the questions Kanak raised with Payal. The girl now faces the bitter truth that the woman who gave birth to her is blinded by the glitter of gold and the tall hat of being raised to the level of societal respectability. Payal's mother attempts to stir Payal against Kanak. Uses the ploy of which one out of the two wields power in the house. But Payal is far from blind and sees through the decadent warped ideas of her mother, and thus forcefully defends Kanak. Payal knows well that Kanak is far from being a trouble maker in her life.. more so a beacon of hope, future friend and a light for her!
The truth of the matter is that the light of unconditional love flickers between thunder and lightening ,Badal and Bijli.. Golu and Rani.. now the job at hand with Golu is not to check his calories intake. But to fight the wall of classicism that his mum, meenaskhi erects between the rich and the poor.. hamlet53 30.6.17
The is a one-sided affair.. Kanak's stance .. Uma's reply has yet to come to her drunken , shall I say spontaneous outburst. In the precap it's dissension .. its obvious Uma Shankar too has loads to shed light upon . He reckons she has got hold of half truths .. that little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.. so more to follow on from this episode..
Incidentally , the channel is tickled pink.. by drunk heroines.. just watching another female lead in YHM.. completely sloshed!! Haaa haa...whatever next.. but no more men's briefs.. shaking my head!
