TSMSPJep:29*5.5.17:My Impressions*curative measures in place..
In life, humans are subjected to injuries, ranging from physical, mental or emotional traumas .It's an integral part of our wear and tear. Those of us who desire self maintenance are the ones who want to go on living , to make most of life even after suffering a setback. One has to accept remedial instances when offered by well wishers. This may be worthwhile for one who is in need of emotional smarting. Let it be known too, that injury to the body will heal in time if the appropriate therapy is applied. However a wounded spirit will require an admixture of medicine plus a touch of love, to mend abrasions of the inner self. Today's episode, from the start showcases , injury and an attempt at nursing.
The healing touch that in turn creates a sweet pain of some foreign sentiment. Uma himself being an ayervedic medicine man dispenses many a cures via his fingertips. Today his exposed torso awaits her touch to heal that wound that she herself gave him. Her bite was not an admission of ecstasy rendered in the privacy, for the love of him! But rather a public outcry against the gross misconduct he committed against Kanak. Yet today he stands before her, his back without cover! Her declaration before all to nurse his wound , keeps him safe. Kanak looks at the savage gash she gave him, and there is hesitation in her, to touch the awful beast ,who by all standards manhandled her publically. Yet she keeps her purpose in mind, and his well toned bare back, interests her in the least. The metal key that dangles on a string from his back is the key to unlock what she aims for! The deeds! and her liberty. Uma senses her modesty, and offers to apply the curative paste himself! But Kanak insists, and her fingers eventually move in an unstoppable circular motion. Uma's eyes close in sheer bliss, the piercing ache of the wound is replaced by the sweet pain of quiet delight. Her fingertips on his broken skin have the power to heal and penetrate right down to the very inner recesses of his soul.. ahhh! his heart murmurs their melody. The inexplicable enchanted bond betwixt the lamp and the wick. Kanak seems lost in thought.. is it the key or his person? She has to act! and never short of pulling ideas out of the air! she commands stop right there! be still! Or else the mosquitoes!! Uma heels to her command . May be its some kinky game she plays? Little does he know that the beautiful golden mosquito is Kanak herself! stealthily she cups her hands over the dangling key, ready to pilfer it from behind his back! Once again, Maasi turns up like the dark angel from hell! raises a disapproving eyebrow at seeing them in this private interaction! did she interrupt? Kanak spontaneously says yes! Both are put in place! they'll have five days at hand to apply healing ointments upon themselves! For now Uma needs to get his act together and get a move on!! Uma startles and literally moves on! the key too slides out of Kanak's cupped palms!! Once again she fouled up in the game she plays! Kanak is left twiddling her thumbs!! She may have cured Ravan's gash for now.. but her wound of being unloved by Bhabo still smarts in her. Yet now Kanak begins to appreciate that her remedy comes from Uma.
Maasi can't put her finger on it! but she does note a hasty change in Kanak's rebellious behaviour to one of compliance. A certain acceptance towards Uma, somewhat odd. Maasi is one character who has her eyes and ears open at all time.. her role is to manage the in house group dynamics ! Payal knows better, however traumatic things make look one has to accept one's situation. Payal in her muffled tone , gingerly expresses the fate of many girls like herself who suffer the lasting trauma caused by the ills of false sense of family honour values that are practiced under the name of custom and faith. Can girls like Payal ever expect to receive curative treatment ? or do they suffer silently for the rest of their lives?
At Rathi house the men, two young, Ved and Vansh , and one old babbsa rally around each other to find the best curative measure to cure Bhabo from her age old obsessive memories of Suraj and Sandhya. The sweet shop is the remedial outlet for the Rathi family ,it's function or dysfunction is crucial to family members. The shop as it stands today has emotional attachments with the Rathis. It provides healing to some and injures others. For Bhabo its a living memory of her beloved deceased children Suraj and Sandhya , a reason for her to live on. For Kanak it's the dream cure from the rejection she suffers at the hands of her Bhabo. For Meenakshi , Vansh and Ved , babbsa, it's a cause of stress in their lives , as its more trouble than a blessing. It endangers the life of their matriarchal head , who lives a life of make belief! Deluded! and not all there. The sweet shop creates much activity around it ! a search is in place for the papers, the papers are expected to bring healing to part of the family and more grief to the others.
A scene, over played and exaggerated by Meenakshi.. the search is on for the shops deeds! In a mock seedy conspiracy scene the plans for Ved and Vansh to raid the shop for its papers is hatched! Ved and Vansh to carry out the theft . But Meenakshi suffers a headache when she finds out the papers are not there! the question is where are they? All this frantic search is following one possible remedy ! to sell the shop! it's a pity their search is geared to buy their comfort and cure! On the other hand Kanak is keen to pull Uma Shankar apart! to reclaim the shop's paper's , with a view to keeping the shop and using it a therapy to treat both her and Bhabo! What a play! of contradictory mindsets! Here the medication instead of clearing the infection is more likely to have massive side effects in both sides of the Rathi family. But Kanak s confectionery mart's gloomy edifice still manages to awaken in its owners hearts , a search for the revered memories of the lamp and the wick!
Young Suman is constantly in the business of offering emotional remedies to Palomi's quiet sentimental sufferings. Suman's childish moaning, and cajoling Maasi to let Palomi to come for the trip! are turned down! Suman is most put out. When Kanak makes the careless mistake of giving Palomi a sari meant for the needy! Suman hit the roof! Palomi's status in the house is revealed by massi .. she is a woman under the care and protection of Uma Shankar !and as such has all her needs met by Uma ! does this suggest that Palomi was destitute, homeless, threatened , or simply chose to give up her life in devotion of her Lord? But one thing is clarified that Uma Shankar has allowed her sanctuary! A permanent remedial measure for some past trauma..
The best remedy one can give a paralyzed loved one is home care, keeping the loved one in familiar surroundings which the patient identifies as it's home. Uma takes his wife Kanak to take permission and seek blessings from his still Maasa. The two woman communicate with their tearful ears. Uma's hands give curative treatment to his mothers inactive hand. Her tear slips out of the corner of her eye to show ,his touch of love reaches her ticking heart. Kanak overwhelmed once again by this inactive yet revered figure.. she touches maasa's feet to gather her cure. Once again this mother's tear , purifies Kanak's soul from ill thoughts.. and she senses a healing within her. That a motherless child receives when communicating with a mother figure.. tear to tear a prayer is spoken from a daughter for an ailing mother" may god grant you sound health soon". A rare moment where Uma sees the sincerely beleaguered side of Kanak. Uma's soul too feels somewhat healed. Hamlet53, 6.5.17
Interesting episode regards finding cures, plus putting in place preventive measures more also about on going festering wounds.. especially Payal, who appears settled in her new life. Palomi' s status is revealed. Tomorrow , she loses the plot! Goes wild!! The search for the shops papers are vital! But are out of the hands of the owners. Uma like yesterday ,today too is in charge of the Rathi's shop. Kanak is fighting fit! Her active search seems to have come to a halt.. but the young lioness by no means is giving up.. she is just giving thoughts to finding new effective cures for her problems..
Dear all have a fantastic weekend.. love hammie
