Seekers n keepers, hammie this is an outstanding play around these two wrods.every human being has a seeker n a keeper in his own self.
Seeker of Destiny and keeper of conscience.nice episode.like uma, kanak too got the divine signals, though she interpreted it in a different way.
Uma asking kanak which finger he will put the ring on, is to me another signal tjat they r destined to b dia n bati.he asked!!!means he has respect in someone else's choice.
Brilliant description of the ring scene..
Keep writing.u r such a powerful writier, changes the way we watch tv.

Finally I find the courage to comment on your post. Although I do stalk silently.
This post is perfect. It's the in depth interpretation of what the episode was about.. each character throughly looked on by your fine glass. You have an amazing talent. Keep writing and giving us the other side of the picture view.
As for the characters as per you have said there is nothing else to add to them. You pen them all perfectly.

hello day dreamer .good to see you..
I have followed some of your posts on TSMSP. But this I believe is the best one I came across till date!!! humm... noticed😊

Seekers and Keepers is so apt!!! oh its what came to my mind in the first instance.. glad you reckon it fits

The show has its own charm and the characterization is intriguing. What am really happy about is there is a screenplay connectivity. That's a bit difficult to find it these days. I only hope the makers don't succumb to trp pressures later on ( which will surely happen 😆)
so do I by.. criss crossing other subplots
Haven't followed DABH much but as I watched it on and off am pretty impressed with the connectivity.
I too saw the start..than in dribs and drabs, but the finale I watched right till the end..
1. The tym Kanak was born Meenakshi did say to Bhabho "isne toh aate hi aapko left right kara diya". And this is going to happen 😆. Kanak ne sabki naak me dum kar Dena h 😆
ohhh did she... and now the only precious girlie is spurned by gran.. mind you kanak is no shrinking violet.. like her maa..
2. Suraj asks ved to take care of his sister. And this scebe is so beautifully connected here. Unknowingly though, Ved did come to Ladno at the tym when Kanak needed someone the most. But yes as am Umashankar bhakt, shiv ji ke sanket kuch aur the 😆
and... so ved.. technically is hovering over Ladnun..
3. The whole drama of wedding and other rituals was symbolic. US has a tinge of Suraj in him. But an glad cvs did give a complex twist to his character.
yes.. so am I..Suraj was shy.. as I recall. and man of few words.. but Uma's bashans are quite public
4. There are many posts circulating here as how US will bring Bhabho n Kanak closer. The point cvs highlighted from the beginning is it will happen unknowingly. After the puja at the Kerala temple where Kanak is broken and prays to God, her words were clear. "Koi toh Aisa jariya hoga. Koi toh Aisa raasta hoga jo mujhe meri bhabho tak pahucha sakey. Koi toh Aisa hoga jo mera suraj bankar mere andhere ko mita sakey".
yes... and that's when he emeges out of the waters as the way maker..
This line was too good!!!! US is going to be a medium. Only a medium.. and here the coil ring fits in. She purposefully dropped it. He makes her wear it. Even if the way is spiral, her goal is fixed. US making her wear the ring is clearly symbolic that he'll become the medium for her. I.e Raasta.
great thought.. dreamer!
5. Kanak will play along till she reaches the papers. Once done, she'll run again. I loved today's dialogue where US says to her that aren't you tired ? You did so many things today. You ran, protested and what not. But this fellow has the least idea of her parents 😆. Ye ladki iske naak me dum karke rakhegi.
6. After Kanak's prayer and the varmala in US's neck there was the "bor scene" where she thanked him as he helped her unknowingly. This was then followed by the ring and Haldi scene. Clearly indicating that till the shop issue is not resolved their wedding is invalid.
welll this certainly looks hopeful.. and yes its not going to happen over night too..
7. Another interesting angle is US's mother. She reminds me of paralyzed Suraj who stood on his feet just before Kanak was born. Surprisingly, Kanak acknowledged the fact that she bowed down in front of the bed ridden lady by heart without any motive. I am counting on the idea that the lady will become normal because of Kanak.
ohhh see this is what I missed out... the track of standing by in sickness and in health..
8. Payal-Kanak convo was another highlight. Stressing on who is elder... by age or by bond??? Time will tell... .. pity they dont recognize the significance of Ved in each others life.. he is a point of connectivity... I suspect.. kanak will be saddened...
9. US needs to hear out Paulomi at least once. Paulomi payal is a potential parallel. US needs to break his own mirage for both. He needs to free them both. One from bondings and other from false hopes. Beneath the fragrance of sandalwood US has brought a free bird in his tent who knows to live, love and fly. Kanak will be the person who'll make him break that mirage.
bravo!!!👏👏 what a final comment loved it... listen mate, your comment was great in drawing upon the continuity of the ethos of Diya and Bati 1 ... to the showing part 2.. do keep reading and commenting... love to hear your thoughts.. much love hammie

Hey hammie you may call me DD 😃
I see more of Suraj in Kanak but with right logical basis of Sandhya. Suraj had been sensitive since beginning but he wasn't blinded by traditions thanks to babasa. I found babasa more progressive than Bhabho. Suraj had this right/wrong scenario clear right from the beginning cz there was someone who gave his logical opinion. Then entered Sandhya who brought with her the fresh air of new era. Superstitions, baseless traditions and illogical arguments were rectified in time. Now we have Kanak a perfect blend of her parents. It is like she inherited those values at birth cz even the older generation embraced change.

And here we have US. I see more of Sandhya in him with over the top dedication of Suraj. Sandhya was educated and progressive. Same with US who is an Ayurveda doctor. He is educated but definitely NOT progressive. Suraj could break the barriers coz there was atleast one elder person who imparted him the rationality. US's case is exact ulta. He is the karta dharta and the elder whose decision and opinion is the final one. He is principled just like Sandhya was. But he has lost the ability to sense the inevitable. Payal is the live example. Unlike Kanak US is bounded by his past. He needs to churn out the milk to make butter. He needs to appreciate the fact that traditions can be followed in various forms. And I do have this gut feeling that US's maasi sa might have a similar story as Payal. Bcz v r yet not shown or told anything about her family.

There's this irony of US. The person who believes in coincidences, omens and signals by God (of course invisible ones) cannot appreciate the unseen form of rituals and traditions. He needs to understand that traditions can be followed even after wearing western clothes. Discipline can be adopted even after having fun. Rules should be bent when needed. For him to truly know the unseen he needs someone out of his own faith and lifestyle. Kanak is that perfect misfit who will make everyone dance 😆

Fantastico Hammmieee. ..seekers n keepers...waah...waah... a whole new perspective to the epi n current track...simply awsome ..the flow in writing is jst extraordinary man... ur superlative story telling keep readers glued till last line ham..
Ohhh US ur so screwed man... bt he's so nice most of the times n his words he chose after a long silence are jst too perfect! ! Saamne wale ki bolty band..!! 😆 the onli weakness in him is how he's blinded by faith n sometimes he becomes brutual n he never realised it.. bt kanky has definitely got the power to tame her Lion.. bt it wud be interesting to watch who will Tame whom? ?😉 maza aaega..!!

Oh I totally agree how indirectly Kanky has accepted her presence in Ladnun as shiva's aadesh.. n its endearing how her stay is getting longer day by day!! Her reasons of staying are nothing bt those coincidences she was talkin abt earlier! !

Hammie I want to congratulate u on getting pure n honest reviews on ur threads n thwy are getting their due appreciation. .indeed u deserve more than that! ! Keep shining

its like having the right temeprature for change.. I wonder if Uma is somehere deep down inside himself susceptible to change? he is expected to,if he believes in life long learning..
And here we have US. I see more of Sandhya in him with over the top dedication of Suraj. Sandhya was educated and progressive. Same with US who is an Ayurveda doctor. well explained.. see I fail to recall babasa's influence on Suraj.. may be maasa too is an echo of Payal's fate.. strangely enough.. no reference to elderly male figures is made...

DD.. its great to have you on my posts.. as you give a wealth of comparsions and cross references between characters, which actually extends the plot and give the story line a rationale... thanks DD for your useful comment.. sorry about delay in my response... love hammie
