'Chi'nxed! Govinda

Jagmohan Mundhra's next Naughty at Forty starring Govinda got stalled while shooting in London. The producers apparently ran out of money. A 15-day schedule was cut down to a three-day schedule as a result.

According to a source form the unit, "60% of the film was to be shot in London and the remaining in India. The portions in London included portions where Govinda falls in love with a rich UK girl. The schedule was for a fortnight but could only manage to shoot for three days as the movies finances ran out."

The film's director Jagmohan Mundhra however maintains, "We shot for 15 days and completed one song and 20- plus scenes. The local production manager hired by the producer was useless. So after a day of chaos, I called my team up (as I have shot five films in London), thereafter, the shoot went smoothly."

About the finance shortage, he says, "There was a payment delay by the producers but we did our work."

The movie will now star Ayesha Takia who has replaced Amrita Rao.
An insider reveals, "Amrita backed out of the project at the last minute since she didn't find herself suitable for the role."

Apart from Govinda and Amrita Rao, Anupam Kher and Shakti Kapoor will also star in the film. Monty Sharma will compose the music for the film and Pony Verma will choreograph. The film is loosely inspired by Hollywood comedy The 40 Year Old Virgin, a comic caper. Govinda plays the role of the 40 Year Old Virgin.
