Part 3

Aastha, Dhruv & Deepa leave the canteen & go sit outside.

Dhruv: Wow Aastha, I known u since childhood but I never expected u to speak like that! Kya hua? Tum teek to ho?

Aastha: Dhruv, mazak choro! I just can't stand it when I see some acting so arrogant. Waise bhi, didn't your mother ask u to go home early today?

Dhruv: Haa yaar, thanks for reminding me, so let's go Aastha?

Aastha: No, I'll come later; Deepa & I need to go to the library.

Dhruv: ok, see u people tomorrow, Bye

Aastha & Deepa: Bye

Deepa: Actually, I want to sit outside for a while, if u don't mind….i need to clear my head from everything that happened earlier.

Aastha: yeah sure, I'd like to forget what happened & I hope I never see those guys again especially the arrogant one.

Deepa: that's impossible Aastha. I mean I know it's a big college but you are bound to run into them somewhere.

Aastha: I know, but I can always do my best to avoid them & if I do meet them by chance, I'll be ready for round 2 of our earlier conversation.

Deepa: ok calm down! I think we should go to the library now.

As time passes, Deepa & Aastha become very close friends, almost like sisters. They're always together.
Aastha, Deepa & Dhruv have a test in economics & are busy studying. They are so stressed and everything because the lecturer said it would be very hard.

In the meanwhile, Shubh is planning a way to get back at Aastha. He's talking to somebody & paying him money.

Shubh and his friends are talking to a guy.

Shubh: You know what to do, right?

Guy: Not exactly.

Shubh: How many times do I have to explain it to u?

Guy: I know what to do. Actually I wanted more money.

Shubh: Are you getting greedy? Anyway, here's the money, just do the job properly.

Guy: Yes sir, no problem. Thanks for the money.

A little later that day….

Aastha, Deepa & Dhruv are getting ready to sit for their test.

Aastha: I'm really nervous for this test, I hope I remember everything.

Deepa: Relax; I'm sure u will be fine, u spent the whole night studying unlike me who fell asleep.

Dhruv: haha u fell asleep, lazy bones…Aastha, don't worry u'll pass, I might just fail because I'm the lazy one.

Aastha: Oh its time…good luck u two.

Dhruv & Deepa: Good luck!!!!

All of them sit the test & come out feeling relieved

Aastha: thank god that's it's done, I hope I did ok. How do u guys feel?

Deepa: a little nervous but I'm glad it's over….

A few weeks pass, Aastha, Deepa & Dhruv are busy with assignments and projects…..

Then one day after the economics class, the lecturer asks to speak to Aastha privately.

Aastha: is there any problem Sir.

Lecturer: Actually Aastha, you are a very intelligent student but I have found some evidence that shows copying in the test. You and another guy have very similar answers. In fact you have the same wrong answers.

Aastha is completely shocked on hearing this.

Aastha: but…sir…I never copied from anybody, I studied really hard for that test.

Lecturer: I understand Aastha but there are procedures we have to follow regarding these cases. You could probably get a zero on the test or even a fail.

Aastha: nooooooooo….this can't happen…I didn't even look at anyone throughout the test…..you were there!

Lecturer: I know Aastha but I've got to speak to the other person as well & then we will see from there.

Aastha runs out from there with tears rolling down her face.

Deepa who was waiting for Aastha sees her running out of class.

Deepa: Hey Aastha, wait where are u going?

Deepa finally catches with her sees her crying. Deepa asks: what happened why are u crying?

Aastha in between sobs: they said…I …I cant believe it….he said I copied in the test…& I could fail because of it….

Deepa: oh my god…what…calm down…we all know how hard u studied…they can't do this…

PS: I have got exams going on at the moment so I won't be updating for the next 2 weeks
