Ash Kumar's Speedy Art Wins Bollywood
His name figures in the Guiness Book of World Records as the fastest Henna Artist. And he also happens to be having some of the biggest clients in showbiz ranging from Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore to Shilpa Shetty, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukherji, Abhishek Bachchan etc. The name is Kumar…Ash Kumar. This suave London based 27 year old whips up fantasies on you as if a magician in fast forward. We got him in a speed talking mood during his recent trip to Indian dreamland Mumbai.
Deepika Padukone
Ash-Kumar's-Speedy-Thoughts: Deepika is not just good to look at but she is fantastic to be around with. She is so voluptuous. She is not shy. The look that we decided to go with for her was bronze with the makeup. The mehndi I used on her was an Ash Kumar product Copper Color Glitter for it compliments her eye color. She has fantastic limbs, her arms are lovely and slender and so are her legs. I wanted to concentrate on highlighting not just her beautiful face but also her slenderness. If you notice in the picture it's beautifully enhanced on her arm all the way to her finger and then of course I did a little bit on her face as well to add to her beauty.
Our-Mehndi-Imagination: Drunken eyes, creased nose, strawberry lips…is there anything more desirable? It seems Ash has found an excuse to do some minute detailing on Deepika's super sexy body (we don't blame him for there's no one like this Padukone angel). The bright ornamentation punctuated by little beautiful details makes Deepika a treat for all you guys gazing at her without batting an eyelid.
Kareena Kapoor
Ash-Kumar's-Speedy-Thoughts: To be honest with you, I didn't go with a particular look or anything. What I enjoyed about working with Kareena was that she is very clear and very determined and genuine. I focussed on Kareena's upper arm as I felt that my design would suit her there. I concentrated on her upper arm from left to right.
Our-Mehndi-Imagination: She has a peacock beauty that is simply mesmerizing. There's an elegant spontaneity in those eyes for they travel right into your entire being. The immense feminine appeal in her is augmented by Ash's ultra chic design. Like a well manicured painting, Kareena looks priceless.
Salman Khan
Ash-Kumar's-Speedy-Thoughts: Salman Khan is phenomenal. He has a fantastic physique. What the designer did for him was very Celtic, very bold. I did it on the back of his arm and on the back of his shoulder and on his upper arm. The look we went for was bold and black. The reason why I went with that is that I think he is bold and phenomenal. Definitely a fantastic experience!
Our-Mehndi-Imagination: The never ending strong shoulders have been bridged by a romantic evening where life is making impressive designs. Salman Khan is obviously a handsome man and Ash's artistic touch enhances his macho sex appeal.
Hrithik Roshan
Ash-Kumar's-Speedy-Thoughts: I am a fan of Hrithik. Also, I have lot of respect for Hrithik because on a personal level I look up to him. I think he is a very well put together actor. I worked on his muscular part which is his upper arm body. I did a very Celtic design for him as well but while working with him I didn't felt I'm working with a celebrity. I felt like I was my working for my friend, brother. It was very home like. I really enjoyed that experience.
Our-Mehndi-Imagination: The black and blue dolphins playfully saunter around on superstar's Roshan arm and the chiseled features are getting enhanced because of the unusual pattern. The little dots interspersing the design give a slight feminine feel further enhancing Hrithik's uber-cool-quotient.
