How far should the production houses be given liberty to show what they want and how they want?

In a society where people claim they are religious and have high moral values, shouldn't the media and the public cry fowl at the shows which go overboard with showing verbal and physical abuse at women and children.

In the west five people writing to the regulating body would have the show scrapped, why is this not happening in India.........why such disregard to viewers objections............

Would you let children watch such a show.......I believe in the early days young girls loved the show because it was about three sisters.........

i dont think so... its only the house wives and old ppl watch all the daily soaps... as far as i have seen, young ppl always tune to music/movie channel... they hate watching soaps... very rarely they watch, if there is no other choice left 😉 😆

Kanta my son one day insisted me on watching KS as he was then watching this show with my mom......and he telling me the story so far. He stated, "Mom it's the story of three girls whose parents died and they are struggling to survive and they are now in Mumbai....but mom I don't like the second sister....she is selfish".....and when P** was trying to make out with Jai in various manners then the same son of my told me not to watch the show by telling me, "Mom what they are showing it's far from the real life".

Kanta good point. Something i have been thinking for sometime. Here in the uk we have Ofcom...unhe complain kardo...toh baat badi hojaati hai. Viewers complaints are taken seriously and looked into. With so many channels in India...is there not a single regulating body? Direct channel walon ko complaints karte hai toh viewers ko ignore karte hai 😕 😕 not right at all.

I am wondering if any other Indian soap had this level of constand depravity and negativity. If we look at the list

male rape
marital rape - ranveer
brutal miscarriage
murder of two 5 year old
cancer
....now maybe another rape

all this in 1.5 year (excluding the first 6 months)

I think their should be a commision to complain to thats what happened in big brother with shilpa people complained on the phone they do that with shows they then decide whether it was that offensive and what to do next like ongoing soaps always have complaints but nothing major really gets done
