The family is headed by two loving members Veena and Lalit… They have 4 sons and a daughter, however, one of their sons is not really their son… who is piyush… Piyush is sujals cousin, piyushs parents died in a car accident when he was two years old… since then Veena has always thought and treated piyush like her own… piyushs dad was lalits brother… Even sujal has never thought of piyush as his cousin… they both share a very different and sweet bond! Sujal n piyush understand each other very well…. Piyush is not only close to sujal but to the rest of the brothers, who treat him just like they treat their sujal bhaiyya…. In the family theres also a very sweet, innocent girl named kushboo, who is called as sweety, by the family…

Chetans character is a bit like a person who is very occupied do to his own problems… he is always concerned for his business, and hence isn't able to give much time at home… Vasu is Chetans second wife, his first wife died of a tumor… chetan had two daughters w/ his first wife aarti, who is the eldest and kashish who is after her…. Chetan had two other daughters with vasu when he married her two years after his wife died… charu and neha, these both r twins… vasus character is very much negative in this story… she isn't really happy w/ the fact that kashish and aarti have to live w/ them… she tried many ways of sending them away to their naani's house, but chetan disagreed saying there was no way he wouldn send them there…

Kucch Dard Zindagi Ke Part 1:

Winds are blowing, it's a foggy day… A girl is standing by the window, her hair is blowing back, tears roll down her eyes as she hugs the photo frame , which is in her hands tighter… Someone comes and opens the door….
Aarti: Kashish tu yaha kuri hai… aur main tujhe hur jugaa duhnti phiri hu…
Kashish quickly wiping her tears turns around and gives a faint smile to her didi… Aarti coming over to her, lifts kashish chin n says "tu ro raahi thi na, uski yaad aari hai" Kashish looks up but not surprised, cuz she knows really well that her didi understands her… not being able to control her tears kashish goes into her didi's arm n breaksdown… consoling her sister, aarti tightens her hold on kashish n says "kashish tujhe zindagi ki suchaai ko maana hoga… kudrat ka lihka hum nahee badal sukte… yeh sab uper waale ki murzi hai, wohi sabko banaa tha aur wohi sabko mitaa ta hai… kashish mere jaan zindagi yuhi nahee ruhkti…. Waqt wo cheez hai jisse hum tahm nahee sukte… haat se nikaal hi jaahta hai….kashish tujhe zindagi jeeni hogi… apne ateet ka saaya main tu zaada waqt nahee reh payaa gi…
Kashish: (wiping her tears) haa didi kudrat ka lihka hum nahee badal sukte… per didi duniya chahe kucch bhi kahe, main kehti hu….
Aarti: (interrupting her & holding her by her shoulders) kashish ab aik hi suchaai hai aur wo hai ke sujal murchuka hai… samaaj ahi tujhe HE IS DEAD! (kashish looks up w/ painful eyes n tears rolling down) tu is suchaai ko jitna jaldi apnaya tere liyya acha hoga… tujhe sujal ko bhulaa ke piyush ko apnaa na hai…
Kashish: piyush? wo piyush jisse main dost ke siwa kabhi kucch samaaj na paai… didi (going over to her fish tank, bends down) didi jab muchli paani se baahr aati hai to apne dehka hoga wo kitna tarap thi hai, kyun ke paani usse wo jeena ka sahara dehta hai… didi main bhi us muchli ki tarah hu joh tarap rahi hu apne sahare ke liyya… apne sujal ke liyya….
Aarti: per jab muchli ko dubara paani main dalo to uski tarap katumb hoja thi hai… piyush teri ishi tarap ko kum karega… wohi sahara dega… tu usse mohka to de…
Kashish: Haa didi wo mujhe sahara dena charaa hai, per usse suchaai kaha pataa… usse kaha pataa ke jisse wo apni patni banaa na chata hai wo to kisi aur ki hai…..
Aarti: Kashish BAS! 2 saal hogaya hai sujal ki death ko… buhl ja usse… jo chale jaahte hai wo wapis loht ker nahee aate…
Kashish: Haa didi such kehri hai aap, jo chale jaahte hai wo kabhi loht ker nahee aate.. per didi mere sujal kahiin nahee gaya hai, wohi hai didi, mere dil main, main sason main, meri nas nas main…
Aarti: Kashish please! Kyun tu apne ateet ko apne aaj ki rukawaat banaa rahi hai… Sujal tere kul tha, aur piyush tere aaj hai, aane walaa kul hai… mere jaan tu usse aik mohka de….
Kashish: Theek hai didi ager aap kehti hai to sahee! Maine aaj thak aap ki koi baaht nahee tukraai to yeh kaise… per didi main apko aik baaht bataa du, ager main piyush ko 7 janam bhi du na, to wo mujhe kabhi utna pyaar nahee kur paya ga jitna ke mere sujal ne mujhse kya…
Aarti gets puzzled… kashish tries to walk away when aarti holds her hand, "main jaanti hu ke tu sujal se bahut pyaar kurti hai… main tujhe tere pyaar bulaane ko nahee kehri, per main tujhe aisa nahee dehk sukti… kashish kabhi na kabhi to tujhe kisi ke saaht ki zarurat padegi na… tab kya karegi….????"
"tab yeh ishi tasweer pe sur ruhke roya gi… aik mure we insaan se kucch maange gi" aarti and kashish turn around n r shocked to see vasu standing at the door…. "haa baahi, yehi kurna tum… aik baaht yaad ruhkna tumhe main aur sehn nahee kur sukti… pata nahi tum kab dufaa hogi yaha se… kudh to jeehti nahee ho humhe bhi nahee jeena dehti… jab yeh zinda tha, to humare liyya musibat thi ab mur gaya tab bhi…."
Kashish: BAS!!!! Aik aur shubz kaha na to buhl jaaogi main kisse baaht kurahi hu… aaj thak apne mujhe taane maare, buraa bhala kaha main chup raahi… lekin mere pyaar ke baare main kucch kaha na to mein apni her hadh buhl jaaogi… in sab cheezo se hi mere sujal mujhe door leker jaana chata ta, apki nafrat se, taanho se… per….. nahee bardasht kur sukti na aap mujhe, to aisa hi bholde na, piyush ko mohra kyun banaa raahi hai mujhe door behjna ke liyya… usne aapka kya bigaara hai… aap to sab jaanti hai na ke, main sujal se pyaar kurti hu phir bhi mujhe… ur a sick women… kabhi maa to ban nahee paai, aaj to meri nazro main aurat kehna ka laik bhi nahee hai….
Aarti runs to kashish n tells her to keep quiet… vasu who is shocked, just walks out… kashish goes on to the floor n cries… aarti consoles her n says "tumhe mama se aisa baaht nahee kurni chahiyya thi"
Kashish: mama??? Didi, yeh aurat maa kehna ka laik kaha hai… maine to bahut bardasht kya didi, lekin ab aur nahee… mere pyaar ko kisi ne kucch kaha na to…
Aarti: acha chor na… buhl jaa…
Kashish: aaj thak wohi to kurti aahi hu didi… buhlti… unki her baaht… bachpan se leker aaj thak….
Aarti: Kashish… chal jaldi tayaar hoja… sab aate honge… apni b-day waale din koi aisa udaas nahee hota…
Kashish: per jis insaan ki zindagi main wohi kushi na ho…
Aarti: Kashish… plzzz….. jaa jaldi tayaar hojaa… piyush aur uska parivaar aata hi hoga…
Aarti leaves closing the door behind her… kashish goes over to her closet n opens it.. she sits back on her bed… her closet is filled w/ gifts some of which r open n some of which r not….
Tears roll down her cheek as she remembers sujal…. FLASHBACK……..

Kashish: main yeh nahee lungi….
Sujal: Kyun nahee logi….
Kashish: kyun ke mere her janam din per tum mujhe kudh apne haato se presents doge…
Sujal: wo bhi dunga… lekin yeh rahklo na… kabhi main tumhare janam din buhl gaya aur present naa laa sakaa….
Kashish: to I will kill u… ager kabhi aisa hua ke tum mere janam din per nahee hua mere samne to main bahut naraaz hongi…..
Sujal: aisa kabhi ho sukta hai, ke sujal apni kashish ke janam din per na ho…. Aur phir main apni kashish ko naraaz bhi to nahee dehk sukta… Mere waada main tumhare saaht tumhare her janam din per honga… kush….
Kashish: bahut….
She hugs sujal….. END OF FLASHBACK………….

Kashish breaks into more tears as she takes a present from her closet and hugs it tightly… "sujal tum apna waada nahee nibhaa paya, per main apna nibha raahi hu… 2 janam din guzer gaya hai, per tum mere saamne nahee the… ab yeh bhi….." theres a knock at the door…
Aarti: kashish jaldi karo… sab agaya hai….
Kashish: (quickly wiping her tears) haa didi…. Bas aahi…
She quickly opens the present… it's a beautiful pink dress… shes about to open the letter, when she thinks it'll be better off, if she reads it later cuz aarti might come any second again to call for her… she puts the letter in her top drawer, looks at the dress, takes it and dresses up… she goes in front of the mirror, and sees an image of sujal, telling her shes looking beautiful… she turns around, but the image disappears… "main jaanti hu sujal tum ho… mere ander…. Duniya chahe kucch bhi kaahe, per main jaanti hu ke tum aaj bhi ho…." Theres a knock at the door, n aarti comes in… she tells her to hurry as everyones waiting for the "b-day girl" kashish gives a faint smile as she goes downstairs… piyush comes over and puts his hand out… kashish stares at it… piyush looks with a confused smile, when aarti takes kashish hand and puts it on piyushs… kashish gives aarti a hurtful look as piyush takes her away…. Everyone wishes her… Chetan comes to her, kisses her forhead n wishes her… "main aaj tumhe bahut hi acha aur keemti tofaa dena waala hu…." He goes upto the stage…..
Chetan: Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have ur attention please… (everyone looks towards the stage… kashish does also but with a very confused look) aaj main apni behti ki janam din per, usse aik tofaa dena chata hu, jo main jaanta hu uske liyya bahut ehm hai… aaj ke din aap sab sirf meri behti ke janam din per hi nahee, balke uski sagaai main bhi ayaa hai… (kashish looks up shocked!!! As everyone claps) (looking at piyush) piyush behta will u please come to the stage (piyush gives a smile as he walks up the stage) kashish aao behta (kashish is just not able to move… shes so puzzled…) kashish…………
Aarti comes over to kashish, "Chalo" kashish looks at aarti as "what r u saying" aarti forces kashish to walk… kashish walks up the stage… piyush faces her, now both r facing each other… veena comes and gives piyush the ring… kashish takes her hand and squeezes her finger…. She isn't able to understand what is happening…. She isn't nervous, shes just shocked, she knew this was coming her way, but it would be this soon…. She couldn't believe it…she felt like running away….. piyush starred at her…. She was hesitant to give him her hand… she wouldn't let go of her finger…. Aarti took kashishs hand smiling at veena n piyush n held it out… kashishs finger was purplish, cuz she held it too tight… veena came over n said "yeh kya behta… tumhare ungli…." Kashish was speechless when aarti spoke up "aunty ji actually yeh bahut nervous hogaai thi to…."
Veena: acha acha… koi baaht nahee behta… hota hai…. piyush behta kashish ko ring pehnaao…
Piyush nodded his head… he took kashishs hand and she closed her eyes shut… she didn't like the thought of piyush touching her…. piyush put the ring on her finger…. She opened her eyes slowly…. She was very dizzy….. aarti gave her the ring…. Kashishs dizziness was increasing… she put the ring on his finger, as aartis hand supported hers… as soon as the ring was on piyushs finger kashish fainted…. Everyone was very shocked… piyush bend down and called out to her… vasu trying not to make a fool out of her ownself, said to everyone "meri behti bahut jaldi nervous hojaa thi hai… mujhse bhi kehri thi ke mama main bahut nervous hu… abhi sahee hojaya gi, aap sab party enjoy kuray…." She turned and aarti gave her that sick look n told piyush to take kashish to her room…
Piyush carried kashish to her room and layed her on her bed….
Chetan comes w/ the doctor… the doctor checks kashish… chetan ask the reason for kashish fainting n the doctor says "ke inhe koi shock lugaa hai"…. piyush looks at chetan while chetan gives back a confused look… the doctor says "maine inhe injection dehdiyya hai…. she'll be fine soon…. Inhe thore waqt baad hosh aya ga…." Chetan n piyush thank the doctor, piyush gets up to drop the doctor to the gate, but the doctor declines saying he needs to be with kashish… piyush smiles as the doctor leaves….
Chetan: shahid mujhe kashish ko phela bataa na chahiyya tha…. Lugta hai she was very surprised…..
Piyush nods his head… aarti tells piyush to go downstairs, but piyush declines saying he'll stay w/ kashish… chetan excuses hisself….
Aarti: piyush thanks…
Piyush: thanks?
Aarti: tum kashish ki itni fikr kurte ho… humesha usse samaaj the ho aur uska saaht dehta ho…
Piyush: come on aarti.. yeh to mere farz hai… main jitna kur sukta hu kashish ke liyya karunga…
Aarti smiles n is about to say something when chetan calls her downstairs… aarti excuses herself n leaves… piyush grabs the chair n sits beside kashish….
Piyush: na jaane mujhe aisa kyun lugta hai ke, tum mujhse koi baaht chupaa ri ho… aur ke tum is shaadi se kush nahee ho… ho sukta hai yeh mere wehm ho… per…. Wo pyaar tumhare aankhon mai, nahee dehkraha hu main……..
Piyush stops…. N just looks at kashish…. Time passes by… veena comes upstairs… n sees piyush sitting beside kashish… she comes in…
Veena: piyush behta chaale?
Piyush: ji mama…. Lets go…..
Veena: tu fikr mat kur… theek hojaya gi wo… ladki hai na, aisa time pe nervousness feel hoti hai… aur waise bhi yeh engagement, kashish ke liyya surprise thi…. Lugta hai usse bahut buraa jutka lugaa….
Aarti comes to call veena and piyush as lalit is waiting downstairs for them… both smile at aarti n leave to go downstairs… chetan, aarti go to drop piyush n his family outside to their car… vasu is least bothered by all this….

Aarti comes upstairs to kashishs room… she sees kashish asleep…. Goes to her sits besides her n runs her fingers through kashishs hair… tears roll down aartis eyes as she sees kashishs face…
Aarti: main jaanti hu mujhe tujhe phela bataa na chahiyya tha… per ager main tujhe phela baata thi to tu mana kur dehti… kashish main izaat kurti hu us pyaar ki jo tere mann main sujal ke liyya hai… main jaanti hu tere liyya is such ko apnaa ke sujal ab nahee raha bahut mushkil hai… ager waqt hotaa to main tujhe aur waqt dehti… per waqt hi to nahee hai…. main jaahti hu tu meri shaadi se phela is ghar se tu vidaa hojaa… mere saamne tujhe itna kucch sehn kurnaa purta hai, to mere peechay………. Mama ke jaane ke baad maine puri koshish ki ke tujhe wohi pyaar du jo mama dehti…. Main bhi choti ti maa ke pyaar ke liyya tursi, per nahee chaha ke tujhe kabhi taras na paare… per main haar gaai, tere sabse baare duhk ko baht na paai… usse kum na kur paai…. Nahee de paai wo aik cheez jo tune mujhse zindagi main pheli baar maangi… FLASHBACK…..

Aarti: kashish mere baht suhn….
Kashish: mujhe kucch nahee suhna… mujhe sujal ke paas jaana hai… (looking at aarti) didi maine aaj thak kucch nahee maanga aapse… bas zindagi mai pheli aur aakhri baar kucch maangri hu, mujhe mere sujal ke paas jaana hai… inse bholo mujhe jaane de… sujal mujhe dehkay ga to theek hojaya ga… didi aap chup kyun ho (shaking her didi) bholo na didi inse…. Sujal…..
Aarti: bas kur kashish… bas… (crying) sujal…. Mur……. Mur chukaa hai wo!!! (kashish looks up shocked) mur chukaa hai wo… kaise dehka ga wo tujhe, jab usne humesha ke liyya apni aankhein band kurli haai… kaisi sunega wo tujhe…. Kashish…..
Kashish: jhoot bholri hai aap… sujal mujhe chorke nahee jaa sukta… usne mujhse waada kya tha ke wo mere saaht her pal rahega… yeh sab jhoot hai… aap sab jhoot bholre hai… mere sujal mujhse kabhi jhoot nahee bholta… kabhi apna waada nahee thorta… aap sab bas mujhe usse door kurna jaare hai… main dehkti hu mujhe kaun rohkta hai uske paas jaane se….
Kashish starts walking when aarti holds her hand….
Kashish: didi haath choro… aap aisa kaise kur sukte ho… haat choro mere… mere sujal intezaar kuraa hai….
Aarti: (holding kashish by her shoulders) kashish BAS!!!!!! Bas…. Kur….. bas…. Nahee raha tere sujal…. Koi intezaar nahee kuraa tere….. kashish…. Wo mur chukaa hai… he is dead… he is dead…. He is dead…..
Aarti puts her head on kashishs shoulder n cries… after a time seeing no response from kashish, lifts her head n shakes kashish… "kashish" ……….. "kashisssh" ……. "tu kucch bholti kyun nahee hai… kashish…." Kashish faints into aartis arms…… "kaaashish"
Two days later……..

Aarti breaks down….. END OF FLASHBACK……

aarti comes back to her senses, and runs out of kashishs room into her own… n cries….
On the other hand… kashish slowly is gaining consciousness… she sits up holding her head from one of her hands… she takes her other hand to move her hair, when she notices the ring in her hand… she flashes back to the engagement, piyush putting a ring on her, she getting dizzy…. She looks at the ring w/ a disgusted face… she takes the ring off her finger, looks at it n just throws in on the bed… tears start rolling out of her eyes…. She goes over to her drawer, takes out sujals pic looks at it n breaksdown….
Kashish: mujhe maaf kardo sujal… mujhe maaf kardo… maine sirf tumhare hone ka waada kya tha, per aaj wo waada nahee nibhaa paai…. Sujal…. Kyun chaale gaya tum mujhe chorke…. Kyun chor gaya apni kashish ko itne andhere main… koi roshni nahee dihkti… bas andhere hi andhere hai… koi umeed nahee… koi kushi nahee… koi saaht nahee…. Kaise jeeri hu main tumhare bager main hi janti hu… her aik pal aik saal ki taraa guzer tha hai… aur nahee jeena chaati main… aur nahee sujal…. Yeh zindagi tumhare bager kucch nahee hai kucch nahee… kyun tum loht kur nahee aa sukte… tumne kaha tha na ke kashish jab jab tum mujhe suche mann se yaad karogi main aajaao ga… pichle 2 saalo se tumhare kashish tumhe her paal suche mann se yaad kurti hai per tum nahee aya…. Nahee aya…. Mujhe tumhare paas aana hai sujal… tumhare paas….. sujaaaaalll…..
