He smiled at her sweetly and walked to the bed holding their baby….

K: Angad can u raise the bed……I want to sit down….

A: Sure…….he said……..He kept the baby……….in the cradle and then went to help Kripa……Once Kripa was settled………Angad bought the baby and gave him to Kripa……….Kripa looked at her bundle of joy and hugged him lightly and kissed his cheeks…..smiling……The baby was awake and was playing with his hands and legs moving continuously…..Kripa chuckled at him….and Angad smiled looking at Kripa's face..…….So, did u think of some name……Angad asked

K: No……You tell me……..

A: No……I leave it to you………..

K: Really……

A: Yeah….

K: Then how about Prateek……she said without thinking…..

A: Prateek?

K: Yeah……He is the symbol of our love……she said holding the baby hand lightly…still smiling lovingly at him…..

A: Perfect……see I knew you would come up with some thing wonderful…..Kripa looked up and stared at Angad……and then smiled……

A: Prateek……hmmm…..I love it……Hey prateek do u like it……

P: Yes I do…………Kripa and Angad looked up to see who replied……..Prateek and Sur were standing there with Kanan and Shashikant……

Kripa smiled at them……

K: Hey Prateek….sur ….come on…come here……

P: Vow….he is so tiny…...he said coming next to Kripa and immidiately sitting in Angad's lap…as if he has done it many times before…..But the fact was Prateek did not meet Angad for nearly a year now……but he was busy looking at the baby that he did not notice Angad………

A: Yeah……he is ….right…..

P: what's his name?

K: We were thinking of giving him your name……..

P: Oh no…..but if you give him my name…….then what will my name be…..

Every one chuckled…

K: Oh….you will be prateek Srivastav…..and this baby will be Prateek Khanna………How about that…..

P: Do u like my name?

K: I love your name……So I want to name him Prateek too…..Is it ok……

P: Yes………..Its ok……..Vow…..we both have same names……..di he said looking at Sur….who was frowning….

S: Don't you love my name?

K: Sure I do……But since we have a boy, I can't very well name him sur…..can I? she asked winking at her……Or can I she frowned at sur…..

S: No silly……u can't……she said giggling……..He is lovely…….See his hands they are so tiny…..just like my doll……..

Kanan laughed at the whole conversation…..came near kripa and gifted her some things for the baby and hugged her…..She then took the baby and played with her…..Kripa looked up to see Shashi looking at Kanan with love……….She smiled and looked at Kanan questioningly…..Kanan shyly shook her head and looked down….Kripa looked up to shashi for answers……..

S: I and Kanan are getting married and we are going to adopt Prateek and Sur…….he blurted out……….

K: Oh my God……that's a wonderful news……..Vow…I can't believe this………..So when is the marriage…..

S:In a month…..we have already started the process of adoption though……..

A: Congradutlations………..he said getting up and giving Shashi a hug…….

K: Yeah……..congradulations……..Atlast………you both came out of your shell………I am so happy for u both…and for the children……This is wonderful news……

P: Guess what Kripa Di………Now Kanan Aunty and Shashi uncle will be our mom and dad………

K: Vow that is wonderful……so are u excited……

P: yeah…..he said shyly…..

Kripa smiled…

A: Hey Prateek don't u remember me…..

Prateek for the first time looked at Angad……and so did Sur…….They were so much engrossed in the baby and talking to Kripa that they did not look back……

S: Of course you are Kripa aunty's husband……….She said dramatically……and Prateek joined her…

P: yeah……So u and aunty have a baby as well……Didn't I tell u that all who are married have kids just like my mom and dad……

A: Chuckling….Yeah….you did…Guess what ….? You were right……You are really a genius…….You know this things so well than me……Silly me….he said winking at Kripa…who blushed…..

P: Yeah…….I do….he said seriously proud about himself…..which made Angad grin……

Nurse came in after a few min……and told everyone that she came to take kripa out in waiting area and they all are welcome as well……..Angad and others went behind Kripa, little bit confused…...and then when they reached the waiting area, on the second flooor, Angad was stunned………The room was decorated with ballons and cards…….and Girls got the cake came near them………..

Angad cut the cake and fed Kripa a small bite……..every one wished him and so did the nurse and other workers…….

K: Kripa arranged all this Angad…..Just for u…….Kartik said to him……when they were alone………Angad went to Kripa and sat besides her wheel chair………He then took out his chain,the chain which dadi gave it to him when he was born….saying it was hers ……when her dad gave her when she was born………..and Angad had never parted with it for all this years…………But now he wanted to give Kripa some thing special and he tied it around Kripa……Kripa looked at him with tears in her eyes…..She knew how much Angad loved the chain….what importance it is to him…………She thanked him with tearful eyes and closed her hands around his….

Dr Sudha came to Angad and wished him….

Dr: You know Angad, we never allowed any kind of celebration here before, but as u were born here and so is your little boy………we made u an exception…………

A: Thanks doctor…for every thing…..

Dr: You are welcome dear……..Take care of Kripa……..and the baby……

A: Yeah….sure….

Dr: And I hope you all understand, when I tell u that the party should be over in an hour…I don't want to disturb my patients here………

Sure….some of them chorused…..

Dilip asked the workers there to distribute sweet to everyone in the hospital and announced the donation of 25 lakhs to the childrens unit…..for the needy and poor children……….Dr. Sudha thanked Dilip heartily and after having a piece of cake Dr. Sudha was gone…....for some emergency case…..

Atlast after 20 min or so……..Nurse declared that Kripa should go back to the room and rest and everyone agreed………..She told Angad to enjoy with everyone here and they will meet later… …Kripa was more than happy to go, as her stiches were giving her a very hard time and she was feeling very weak……Angad noticed this and looked at her concerned…..She told him she will be alright and not to worry and stay for some time with everyone……Everyone bid her bye, before she left… Angad agreed and Mishti went with Kripa…..to give her company…and help her out..….Even the baby was taken back in the incube after a short while…..

When Kripa was settled back in her room……Mishti sat besides her……….

M: I am so happy for u Kripa……This all has been so much painful for u……This past year…I can't even imagine your pain…..

K: Are u angry with me Mishti……she asked reluctantly……..

M: Why should I be angry Kripa?

K: Prithvi…….

M: Mishti sighed….Prithvi is a big enough boy to make his own decisions……But I am glad he helped u out………and I am not angry with u……I am just happy for u……They both hugged eachother……..and parted…….

M: So new Mom……how does it feel…….

K: It feels great……though I am scared thinking about how good a mom would I be……?

M: That is a fear in each new mother who love their kid…………so don't worry…you will be a great mom and so will angad be a great dad…..

K: I hope so,……So when did all of u come here……

M: Today morning……. You must rest now….you look exhausted……

K: Yeah…..I am ………..she said weakly…

After some time Kripa was asleep and Mishti joined others in the waiting area……as the nurse told her that she will be with kripa till some one comes and she should go and join others…..Angad was back within few min and looked worriedly at Kripa……Nurse could not help but smile…….He was the most attentive husband she had ever met….and she liked the guy ……..She consoled him that kripa was alright and just exhausted and in some pain……so a good rest will do wonders…..Angad nodded appreciatively and nurse left the room……..Late evening……Gayatri gave Angad the packed dinner…….and everyone left………as only one person was allowed at night……..

5 days later Kripa was discharged with a long list of do's and don't do's……Baby was also in fit condition to go with her….…..She thanked everyone at the hospital and went home……..with the tiny bundle……sleeping peacefully in his Gayatri nani's arm…….Kripa was wheeled out till the car and Angad picked her up gently and settled her in the car………He drived back home carefully……..

At home they were in surprise……….Full house was decorated with flowers , ballons and welcome home cards………..Toys and teadies all around everyone cheered when they were home……..Naina did their aarati and asked them to come inside…………Angad carried exhausted Kripa to their bedroom, who was already half asleep by the time they reached the room and Gayatri took their baby …….

Once they were in the room………Angad settled Kripa in the bed and Gayatri made the baby sleep in the near by cradle………a gift from Kanan and Shashi……….to the baby……Every one fused in the room….for some time and then left ……Kripa was already asleep…..……Angad bought her lunch after 3 hours and once she was done gave her the medicines and asked her to sleep…….He freshened up and went down and had his lunch as well……..By the time he was back, Kripa was fast asleep……..and so was the baby……He relaxed and sat besides Kripa…..carssing her hairs and cheek……..

Prateek was still asleep and so he too lay besides Kripa carefully, so he would not hurt Kripa…..as she was operated and slept peacefully………There was no place as comfortable as home he thought……Staying in hospital for 6 straight days made him glad to come back home……….

By the time Angad was awake………..it was already evening……….Suddenly he got up with a jerk….Kripa was not in the bed……..He climbed up from the bed and ran towards the bathroom…..

A: Kripa…..he called …….He heard a slow whimper……..Angad did not wait for the response…….He opened the door……thanking God that she had not locked it………The sight before him drained his colour……….

Kripa was lying on the floor……..too exhausted to get up………She was breathing heavily……and her head was hurt…………He quickly went to Kripa and took her in his arms….and walked out of the bathroom….His heart beating heavily with fear………

A: Kripa……Kripa…..

K: I want some water………she said weakly…..bearly able to hear……..Angad gave her the water and straightened her a little………she lay in his arms….lifeless….He made her drink some water and layed her down……….He went out and called for Kartik…….Everyone came running towards their door……..hearing Angad's frightened voice……..

Kartik was the first to come….

Ka: Angad what happened…?

A: Kripa fainted in the bathroom…………she hit her head……and I think she is in pain…..Can u please call the doctor……Kartik……..

Ka: Yeah…..you sit with Kripa…..I will go call………Gayatri came running inside and asked Angad what happened………Angad told her what happened……..Gayatri sat besides kripa and took her hand in hers………she prayed silently………Pratham bought a wet cloth to wipe kripa's face…..which was covered with sweat……There was a small cut which was bleeding a little………Angad stood there shocked…….and frightened….Pratham went to him and consoled him…..told him that kripa would be fine soon…….Angad sat on the bed taking Kripa's other hand looking at her fragile face…..She looked pale………Mishti came in the room with Prateek in her arms……She looked at Kripa concerningly……..Prateek was fast asleep, so she made him sleep in the cradle and stood besides Gayatri laying a comforting hand on her shoulder……..Gayatri looked up and gave her a tense smile……Jr. Doctor who was attending Kripa came home immediately after the call….She checked Kripa thouroughly…..and then gave her some injections and prescribed some medicines……..She asked Angad to meet her outside and left the room……

Once they were alone ……Doctor told him…that Kripa was fine…..but as he knows too weak to do her own work…and as she is not given the sedatives any more, she would be in lot of pain too……she should not have left for the bathroom alone……..Let alone get up……..without support……..It might take atleast 15 days for her to do that…….so they have to take utmost care ……..If he needed doctor told him that they will arrange for the nurse….But Angad disagreed and promised the doctor that he will take more care from now on……..He thanked her and escorted her outside………Angad told everyone what was going on and everyone agreed to take turns to look after her till she was fine……

Days pass by and slowly Kripa started recovering…..from her weakness………..Her legs did not shake as much as they used to…..She could sit up with out support and walked few steps with the help of Angad……But Angad kept a tight watch on her…….not allowning her more than necessary………He had already scolded her for her foolishness and she had told sorry to him atleast a dozen times for it……Angad and others looked after the baby as Kripa was in no postion to look after him for more than 20-30 min………After 15 days…….Everyone left Nainital as they could not take leave more than that……..Angad, Kripa, Naina and Gayatri remained in Nainital as Doctor has not given Kripa permission to travel…Naina and Gayatri fused over Kripa and prateek all the time….and pampered her with her favourite dishes……She enjoyed all the attention she was getting and enjoyed playing with prateek, whenever she was awake……Many a times….she used to just sit on the bed and look at Angad and Prateek talking and playing….loking adorable together…….Angad proved to be a wonderful dad…..just as she had imagined…..He took very good care of prateek and learnt almost everything about taking care of baby with Naina and Gayatri's help.……..Next 15 days went in the same pattern…….Kripa took all the rest she could get…and was well on the way to recovery…She started going down for lunch and dinner and for small walks in the garden……..She still felt weak after some time though………..Doctor told her that they can go whenever they wanted to ….But Kanan and Shashi's wedding was just two weeks away and they wanted to stay for it…….so they stayed there……for another 2 weeks……..attended their wedding and then went for the party next day arranged for the children as the adoption went on successfully…….

They were happy for them…..atlast….Kripa Angad and their mom's left for Mumbai after 2 months in Mumbai……. Dilip and Kartik arranged a big party for welcoming Angad, Kripa and Prateek back………

The party was a huge success and surprisingly Damini and Mr. Bose came to the party together……
In the evening when they all were alone…they broke their news that they are getting married once more and shifting to Canada for good……..Every one was happy and hugged them and congratulated them….Mishti was on verge of tears as her mom and brother both will be going……..But prithvi announced that he is not going any where……He will be in India and will visit Canada once in 3-4 months………..Mishti hugged her parents……She was happy…..her parents deserved their happiness after being apart for more than 25 years….especially her mom who had stayed alone for all these years……without any life partner….and took care of them.……..

Kripa was busy talking to some of their friends when Prithvi took Angad outside………

P: Angad I have to tell u some thing………

A: What is it Prithvi………

P: Angad….Karan is out of jail……..Infact he was out almost a year back…….Angad kept staring at prithvi in shock…….

A: But how can that be possible Prithvi……..He was imprisoned for 3 years and they are not yet over……..

P: I don't know Angad……but I wanted to let u know this………He and his mom both are here together and staying in India now………I think it was his mom who released her….she has some connections……

A: Where are they now?he asked angrily……

P: They are in Mumbai…….Dad and his mom got divorced officially last month……So, I met her a month back and the address she gave was of Bombay…when I had her investigated I came to know that Karan bought a house in Juhu and staying there with his mom………..

Angad's hand clenched…….

A: Why did u not tell this to me before…….

P: Calm down Angad……..I was afraid for Kripa….she was very weak…….and you were taking care of her…..I did not want to disturb u…But now that u are little bit free….I think its time to hire a detective and find the truth behind your accident………

A: Yes….you are right…..I will do it soon…….In one way or other…..If karan is involved in all this then I will not spare him,…..he said angrily……

Atlast both of them said there good byes and Prithvi left…..in his car……His mom was coming with his dad……..so he felt alone for the first time since Kripa……

Kripa and Angad went to their room……..Their room was decorated with toys, baby furniture and prateek's new born photos………Kripa couldn't stop grinning seeing all that……….She was back where she belonged with Angad, in his arms………….It felt wonderful……….Prateek was already asleep……….Angad took so much care of him……..that Kripa got more than enough rest for these two months……..From tomorrow he would join office with Dilip and Kartik…..she already felt lonely……This two months Angad was constantly besides her……..Not leaveing her for more than 15 min at a time……..may it be night or day…….He took care of prateek ……She closed her eyes smiling………and then opened and rested on the photo of Prateek and Angad together……..

The first time he held his son……..He looked so adorable ……..looking at the tiny baby in blue with love filled eyes…..and tenderness which reflected in them made her heart lurch……….She remembered the day…..when the baby was bought to them……Everyone had taken the baby, but Angad……..He just stayed besides her bed and stared at everyone taking their baby and talking and laughing………when dadi urged him to take the baby………he was scared to his wits……..No way he said in panic and kripa looked at him in horror……..He is so tiny…..what if I drop him….or don't hold him properly…….he had said……..Kripa's heart had melted at his concern……..She consoled him that nothing will happen and everyone had forced him to take prateek………..It was a perfect sight, which had made her eyes blur……..even Naina and Dilip were on the verge of tears……..but laughed when he looked at the tiny baby amazingly…………She remembered Prithvi taking the pictures…..She has to remember to thank prithvi for it……..He always presented her with wonderful memories…….first her engagent present……and now this…….she was so lost in her thoughts that she did not hear angad coming her way……

Angad came behind her and hugged her tightly………..inhaling the sweet fragrance from her hairs………

A: How are u feeling…….? He asked

K : I am feeling wonderful………she whispered back…………trembling a little……Dilip had called the registrar office before Prateek was born and made them register their marriage again……..But her pregnancy had kept them apart……But now the doctor had given them a green signal saying that they can now leave normal life………the hidden meaning understood by both of them……..Kripa shivered…….

Angad started giving her sweet tender kisses behind her ears, on her neck and shoulders…….Kripa trembled with pleasure…..She turned around and hugged Angad tightly……….Angad lifted her and took her to bed…………..and laid her down…….He laid on top of her and kissed her lips thouroughly and gave feather light kisses on her faces making Kripa shiver………….

A: Its been so long Kripa……I don't know how I stayed away from you……He told her slowly…........carssing her bare back………..with light touch………But tonight I am going to make u mine again………forever and ever… ……I will always love u……..even when I will no longer be there……I will never leave u..…..Till death make us apart………..

K: Not without me…u won't…..she said putting a hand on his mouth……..Where u go……I will come too………..Even if it is far away from this earth……..We will always be together……..she whispered…………..and Angad could only nod………………as his throat choked with emotions……..

They loved each other whole night through………touching and teasing and wiping out the pain they both have suffered……Months of pain and agony and staying apart made them eager for eachother………….

Kripa woke up very early in the morning……She looked shyly at Angad…….who was fast asleep…..They hardly slept the whole night through…….She carsed his hairs and moved it back, then smililing left the bed……..She took her bath and went to see prateek, who was sleeping peacefully…….He had woken up twice for his feed at night……Kripa had fed him and Angad had taken him in his arms and rocked him in the rocking chair till he was asleep.………

Their night together after so many months was incredible and Kripa blushed the whole time she helped Mishti preparing the breakfast……..Mishti kept giving her glances and smiling secretly….…..but Kripa was in her own world……

Around 10 Angad woke up, hearing Prateek cry………He got up quickly and took Prateek in his arms………Then he saw that Prateek had soiled his diaper…

A: Eww………..Its time to call mom son………This is not a daddy's duty………he said……..and prateek started crying louder…….sorry son…..i will do everything except this one………..suddenly the door opened and kripa came in….Angad smiled at Kripa in satisfaction…..

K: I heard him crying…what happened……With out saying any thing…..Angad handed her prateek and grining gave her a big smooch on her cheek and ran to the bathroom……Kripa sniffed a little and she knew why prateek was crying………

K: Angad khanna…………why do u always make me do dirty work………why can't u do it……..

Angad looked out from the bathroom door……

A: Hey…..all this time your mom or my mom did it………You hardly did the dirty work……you were resting the whole 2 months…..now its ur turn……

Kripa took the pillow from bed and throwed it at him in anger……Angad chuckled and closed the door before it hit him……….Kripa looked at the baby and smiled……..She went and changed his diaper and fed him ……by the time Angad was out………Prateek was satisfied………and playing in his crib………

Angad came and hugged Kripa……..who was playing with prateek……

K: No way…….I am not talking to u……

A: Now…..what did I do……

K: As if u don't know……….

A: Hey that was a women's work……

K:Whatever……she said smiling…….secretly…….But angad already noticed her smile……..He grinned…..

A: Hey we will make a pact………I will change his diaper when its not u know……….

K: Promise………

A: Promise……baba…..now can u give me my clothes….I am late for office today…..you kept me awake most of the night…..he said grinning…..

K: Really………You have a problem…? She asked looking at him with hands on her hip……

A: No….no problem at all……he said grinning…….Kripa laughed and hugged his bare chest…..she could never resist the temptation to touch him……….And now if u want me to stay home………I will be more than pleased…..Angad said to her……circling her in his arms……..smiling at her broadly………

K: No way……..she pulled out and took a suit and gave it to him……….Get ready…for the office……..You have taken enough leave……Time to help Dad and Kartik bhaiya….

A: They wouldn't mind another 2 months…….if u would rather……..you know……..he said smiling…..like a idot………Today he could not stop smiling……..since he woke up…..thoughts of kripa next to him made him more than happy….if it was possible…..

K: I said no way………..now get ready and come down…she said laughing….….I will serve you breakfast……Dad and Kartik bhaiya already left and even Mishti went to talk to her mom……….Mom is waiting for u to come……..

A: Ok…..but before going……..he held her arm and pulled her near and kissed her thouroughly……holding her cheeks………hmmm….that should be enough for the whole day I suppose……..he said smiling in her eyes….she smiled and kissed him on his cheek and then took Prateek from the crib and went down……..

Soon Angad joined her and Naina at the breakfast table and after a hearty breakfast started going out….Kripa stopped him…..and went near him……

K: Take care of ur self…..she said slowly….with tears in her eyes……Angad knew that she was thinking about his accident……

A: Don't worry kripa…. I will……Angad had not told Kripa about Karan……as he knew she will be afraid……Now go and take care of ur self and our baby…..don't stress ur self much……….ok…I will meet u in the evening…..kripa nodded and angad kissed her forehead and left…………

Kripa and Angad were once again settled in normal routine……Both involved in Prateek's upbringing…….Kripa still looked after Kirti along with Prateek when Mishti was off to her bonquet…….She had a nanny to help her though and Misti took care of kids in the afternoon, after she returned to give Kripa some time to write her book and do some riaz ………Angad and Kripa did not persuade their music career as they still were not sure who were behind Angad's accident…….Though Prithvi and Angad both followed up with the detective….who had started investigating over the case………..One morning……..Kripa was alone in childrens room……..when the security guard called in and told Kripa that she had a visitor and wanted to meet her……….Kripa asked him to send the person in and she left the kids with the nanny and went down to meet who so ever was there……….No one was at home…….When she reached the hall, her smile died on her lips and her legs froze when she looked at the person standing in front of her……..Horrified she stood there just staring at him……..

P: Kripa………

K: Karan….

Ka: I……

Kripa found her voice……

K: What are u doing here…? She screamed at him……Get out………now…….She went to the phone to call the security……..and was about to shout for the Teddy……there servant…..when Karan stopped her……

Ka: Kripa please ….a.t least listen to me……..Please once…I will never bother u again….I promise………

Some thing in his voice stopped Kripa………..She looked at him……coolly………

K: Whatever u have to say….say it quick and get out …..she said in icy tone……

Ka: Kripa I know…you have every right to be angry on me…….After all what I did…….is unforgivable…….But pleae still I ask for ur forgiveness…….Belive me…….That was my first and last crime I ever did…….I never thought I would act that way……..but my bad habbits of drinking and drugs made me some one else……Belive me Kripa I regret it every second I live…....I am sorry…..can u find it in you to forgive me…….. Kripa was about to ask him to leave but Karan spoke before her……When I was small…..I was all alone…..Dad was busy in his work…..never being there for me….and mom was busy in parties……..which made me feel rejected and alone…. led me to some bad company of friends…….I got addicted to drinks…….to wash away the pain of open rejection of my parents…..My mom used to shower me with as much money I needed……but that was all…….I was nothing more to her……..He said bitterly…..When my dad knew about my bad habbits he tried to take me to rehabitation center……but I ran away from there and mom helped me to go to Singapore……..When I took up the job….there and met u…..I fell in love with u…I tried to change my self for u……..I went to some rehabitation centers in Singapore and changed my self completely……But I could not talk to u for 2 whole years about my love for u……and then when I asked and u told u loved some one else….I could not bear……No…no…I am not giving any excuses for my behaviour……I am just telling u the facts…….When u rejected me….I was depressed …I felt so lonely…..first my parents rejection and then yours…..I could not take it….I started drinking again…..and then mom and dad had a row and I could not get the money I needed from my mom or dad……I …I knew u had more than enough and I did what I did….without considering the damage I did to u…..I thought about all that several times when I was in the jail……and I felt bad about my behaviour…….I had no right to take my anger on u…..It was not ur fault that u did not love me…..but still…..I took it all on you……I just wanted u to know and remove ur ill feelings for me….Please if u can please forgive me……I promise I will never show u my face again…..He said miserably…..his eyes filled with tears…..and he looked at Kripa longingly……..

Kripa felt vunerable………she did not know what to do………But the misery in Karan's eyes made her heart melt…..She slowly nodded……….Her heart melted for the little boy he had been….for the love he carved for…..for the lonliness he felt……….She did the only thing she thought was good for everyone……..Release him of his burden and herself from the anger she had inside him for this person….Because hate leads us to nowhere other than destruction……..

Kripa looked down and bit her lips ….nervously………Then taking a deep breathe………..she told him about Karan's visit…….Angad bolted down on the bed……….and sat up…looking at Kripa in horror…………

A: Did he hurt u…….?He asked concerningly….

K: no…..Angad….he came to apolozize………..She told him what Karan said…..and the reason for his visit……..

A: And you forgave him ofcourse……he said …….

K: Yeah I did………are u angry…….

A: Damn straight I am…….Angad slamed his fist in the pillow………..Kripa winced at his temper…..and looked at Angad…….He looked at her…………Kripa….he almost tried to kill u twice………..he said………without telling her the real reason he was worried……..that he suspects Karan to be behind his accident as well…..and it might be his trick to cause them more harm……..

10 days later the detective came with couple of questions to Angad…..

D: Mr. Angad…..can u remember the person who bought u to the village, where you were treated….The people in the village said that there was a young man who found you and bought u in the village and left almost immediately…..

Angad frowned….He did not know who had bought him……..He was unconscious……….

A: No….I don't remember……..I thought the village people found me…

D: No…..The person bought you there and they took over….The people said they have never seen him around after that…………

Angad came back home………He called Prithvi and told him about his meeting with the detective………

Everyone except Angad and Kripa went to the airport to drop Mr. and Mrs. Bose….Angad and Kripa had gone to meet them the previous enening….so they skipped the trip to airport, instead they went for the shopping trip, which was due from last 3-4 months…….Kripa needed some things for herself and the baby and so did Angad……..Kripa and Angad selected some toys and clothes for Prateek as well as Kirti…..and some for Aakash…..Then Angad selected couple of beautiful sarees for Kripa as well as some dresses……… Angad and Kripa were going through some shirts………when suddenly Kripa turned around with the jerk….she saw that Prateek was not in his stroller…….Kripa's heart raced ……and she ran around the shop looking for him………..She tried to find Angad….but he was missing too……...Tensed she ran from one corner of the shop to the other when a hand came and rested on the shoulder……..Frightened Kripa jumped and looked back……..She almost closed her eyes……in relief……..Angad was besides her with Prateek…………Angad looked at her with concern………..Kripa's forehead was covered with sweat………..

A: Kripa what happened…….?

Kripa just shook her head and took prateek from his arms and hugged prateek…………Breathing heavily………..

Kripa looked up……….her eyes tearful……….Angad slowly took her by her arms and made her sit in the near by sofa………….

A: Oh…my God….I am sorry……I just took him to wash his face…..He spilled some milk and I thought of taking care of it as u were busy with shopping……..

Angad collected the stroller…..paid for the purchases and then they were off to home…………

Kripa remained quite for the long time….Angad sighed…and waited for her patiently……Then she told him ……

K: It will be an year since u were into the accident Angad…..and I am a little nervous….Its just silly I know….But, I am afraid…...she said looking at there joined hands………

G: I got a call from Angad……Kripa……..Kripa looked at Gayatri and cried…..she could not speak any thing…….Mishti told them what Kripa told……..

G: God knows why he is punishing these children this way? She said crying and hugging Kripa……..

Angad and kripa ran towards them….Angad handed prateek to Kripa, who was frightened…by all the noise….. and checked Karan……with was unconscious in a pool of blood all over …..Prithvi was next to Angad in seconds………Kripa checked Prateek and he was fine…..even though crying…She kissed him and hugged him……with relief telling a slow prayer of thanks to God…….Then she….looked at Karan who was drenched in blood……Her eyes filled with tears………….

K; Yes Prithvi he is fine…….

P: You should go to hospital and check Prateek….though………Kripa could just nod and she looked at Karan again…….He is going to be fine Kripa……..Don't worry……I should have been here before……..but I was afraid for prateek's safety………..

Police called the ambulace and soon Karan was taken to the hospital…….Prithvi went with Karan……and Angad and Kripa walked out with Prateek in their car……..They reached the hospital and had prateek checked up for any injuries …….Prateek was declared fine…and was sleeping peacefully in the waiting room……….Where khanna's and sharma's came…….They looked at sleeping prateek and sighed in relief……….Later when Kripa insisted on waiting for Karan's news….Naina and Gayatri took Prateek and left for home……..Prithvi, Kripa and Angad waited for doctor to tell them about Karan…….Doctor declared that Karan was serious…..and its difficult to say if he might be able to make it…..Sob came out of Kripa and she hugged Angad crying……..Karan had saved Angad as well as prateek today……She did not know how to repay him for what he did for them……..Angad hugged her back…..to taken aback at what happened today………Prithvi was quite……..looking far away……….Then he looked at the end of the hall……..where his parents were walking towards him in concern……….He was surprised to see them there…

P: Mom dad…what are u doing here……you were supposed to be in Canada……….

D: We will talk about that later Prithvi………..Before she could speak Mr. Bose asked Prithvi….

Mr. Bose: Prithvi how is Karan?

P: Dad……they said…he is serious……..and they can't say any thing just yet……

Mr. Bose sat on the chair dazed……his eyes filling with tears………..Damini tried to console him…..and had tears in her own eyes……………..Prithvi's dad looked at her……….

Mr. Bose: Damini……….I am a very bad person……..I made that child suffer………I never loved him……just because he was the son of the one person I hated most……I never loved him as he deserved…and that child carved for love………I used to see longing in his eyes………..but never went and hugged him……I thought to punish him same way as his mom punished my children………..he said crying…………I don't deserve him………It is all my fault that he is on the death bed today……..If I would have been good to him….he would have turned in to a very good person………..instead of drug addict and alcoholic…………..

D: But ….don't u see….he is already a good human being….he realized what he was doing with his life….and rectified it…..He saved Prateek today……….He is already a good person…..and I am sure he will be fine soon………..

Kripa and Angad sat in the cornor………waiting for some news…..4 hours later…..a girl walked in anzious……looking for Karan………..Kripa looked up…………..She unfolded her hands from Angd….and went to her……….

K: Nandini………she called………..Nandini looked up with tears in her eyes……..and nodded…….

N: You are Kripa ………..right……?

Kripa nodded………and then Nandini went to Kripa and hugged her tightly………crying………Kripa let her…After a long time Nandini moved back….

N: How is he…?

K: He is serious………Nandini trembled……..

Kripa took her hands and squeezed it………

N: Is he going to make it………….she asked trembling…….

K: I don't know….But you need to know some thing…..he saved my son………today…….If not for him…………Prateek………..

N: I am glad……….She said smiling slightly inbetween her tears……..

K: You love him a lot right…………..Nandini nodded……

K: Then don't loose your faith……He will be fine…….he can't leave now……..when he got everything he ever wished for……..Nandini looked at Kripa……and nodded……….

N: Thanks Kripa…..for forgiving him……..He was happy after that………We were going to get married next month….she said shivering….

K: And you will……..she said then looked at Damini, Mr. Bose…….and Prithvi looking at them….She took Nandini and introduced her to all…….Damini got up and hugged her……consoling her…..Mishti and Kartik too reached the hospital………..Kartik bought coofee for everyone…..while all waited impatiently………Kripa kept calling home to know how prateek was doing……..after every hour……

And atlast Doctor came out with the good news that Karan was alright and is conscious……Then he told them that he wanted to meet Kripa first………….Kripa came forward and looked at Angad for his permission……..Angad nodded……..and she follwed the doctor…..

Karan had a huge bandage on his head and on his back……….When he opened his eyes…….he saw Kripa standing next to his bed……

Ka: Prateek…….how is he…?

K: He is fine….Thanks to you……she said with tears in her eyes……

Karan nodded………with relief………

Ka: I am sorry kripa…………You had to go through so much of hell due to me……I am sorry………

K: No Karan……..No sorry …..No Thank you………Friends……..She said smiling a little and squeezing his hands………He squeezed it back……….

Ka: Yeah…friends…..forever……..

K: Karan I want to know one thing……Did u know it was your mother who kidnapped Prateek…….

Ka: No Kripa…….I did not know that…..I never thought that my mom…..would try to do some thing like this……But I was wrong….......She would go to any limits for money……I guess….he said bitterly…..looking away…..ashamed of what he and his mom did to Kripa and her family……..
Kripa just nodded….sadly……

K: Thanks for telling me the truth…..

Ka: I owed it to u…..Kripa………If I get only one chance……..I would erase all the bad deeds I have done…..I am not proud about it……..I feel ashamed of my self………

K: I will let Nandini In…….She is in worst shape than u……….

Kripa went out and told Nandini to go in……She went in hesitatingly……….but once she saw Karan's condition……….she cried his name and went and hugged him lightly…………

N: I love u………..Don't give me a scare like this one ever……….Or else …..you will never see me again……

Ka: No….Don't talk like this Nandini…….You are the love of life, the joy of my life………And I can't live with out u………….After some time….Mr. Bose and Damini entered…………Mr. Bose looked at Karan with tears in his eys……he went and patted his son on his arms……..

Mr: Bose….; I know u are surprised to see me here….Afterall I am the person, who never came by your bed when u were in pain, when u had fever….when u needed me………But son…..i wanted u to know…that I regret each single day I missed with u……..if u have in your heart to forgive me………then I want my son back…..I want him to come and stay with me forever………

Ka: Dad….he said choking back his tears..……thanks dad……for accepting me……I was dying to hear those words from you……….I love u dad……….But as for staying with u……..he looked hesitatingly to Damini………

Damini came next to him……..

D: If you would accept me as your mom……I would be honoured………I will give u all the love u deserve and have right on……..she said with tears in her eyes………..

Karan's eyes filled with tears……and he just nodded…….

Ka: Thanks aunty……..And yes dad I am ready to come back home……………

D: But there is one condition……Karan…..you have to call me mom………..

Karan smiled though tears

Ka: Yes mom………

And then Prithvi, Mishti came in with Angad and Kartik behind them……..

P: Only problem is you have to bear with nossy brothers and sisters here………..as well as friends……..who love u……

M:Yeah…You are free from me….as I have already left that house and stay with my husband……but your neice will give u a hard time….

Karan smiled through tears and looked at everyone………….

Ka: Where is Kripa?

A: She went out to call prateek………he said smiling…..

Ka: Well I will consider that as a pay back from u….for putting Kripa through all that….he said seriously….

A: Well…..you paid it back…..and its my time to pay you back for what u did for us…

P: Dad….you still did not tell us….how come u are in Bombay…and not in canada……..

K: They went to Goa instead….where they went for their first honey moon…This was their second …..and they wanted to go there…but mom did not want to tell everyone……..as she thought we would laugh at them…….she said………smiling………(Damini insisted Kripa to call her mom, even after knowing Prithvi and her relationship……..Mishti teased her that she is lucky to have 3 moms…and Kripa smiled at that……happily….)

All eyes fixed on her……including Damini's……..

K: Sorry mom……I heard you both the last night when you were alone with dad in the kitchen….I had come for the water……..and I heard……

Damini came near Kripa and held her ears……….Kripa……I have to be careful around u I guess…….

K: Sorry mom……..Sorry…ouch……….Damini released her and hugged her………….

Then Angad grabbed her hand and said bye to everyone, saying they will meet them in the evening and dragged Kripa out………..

K: Angad what are u doing………

A: Nothing……Its been one hectic day….and all I want is to be with my wife and son………..

Kripa smiled and hugged him back and together they went home……..

Prateek was sleeping in his crip………

Kripa and Angad stood by the crip…..looking at him……..after a while Angad picked her up and put her on the bed…..She looked at Angad lovingly and they were lost in the world of passion and love…..

After few days….Karan was released from hospital….Damini and Mr. Bose came to take him home….……Mr. Bose, gave a grand party to introduce everyone to Karan and then announced Karan and Nandini's engagement …………..Everyone were happy……..Kripa and Angad never let out to anyone that it was Karan who had kidnapped Kripa earlier or harmed her when they were in Singapore…They insited Karan to forget it too……and atlast he agreed………No one talked about the bad days……but now karan was known for saving Prateek's life…….and he had love of so many people……..His mom was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment ………….Karan and Angad became good friends……..and so did Nandini, Kripa and Mishti……..The girls were happy…….too…and kept the little children entertained….with the silly talking……..They loved the little kids to death…..Sadhvi, Priya and Aliyah were considered nannies of Kirti, Aakash and Prateek ……..Because they were constantly with them……..and clinged to them like little monkeys……Nandini and Karan got married after a month…..They wanted a simple wedding with close friends and Damini took care of it…..

Later after a month, before Bose left for Canada, Everyone gave a huge surprise party for Angad Kripa on their wedding anivarsary…..……….Harshini and Josh also came from Delhi …….And so did Nishant with the kids from Malaysia…Even Kanan and Shashikant were there with the kids……..Angad and Kripa had a wonderful time with everyone…….. K: Angad……..It was our marriage anniversary………not marriage…….

K: Smiling sweetly looked at him………Honey moon with 2 kids…….?

A: Hey what if days are not ours……Nights will always be ours…..

Kripa laughed and hit him on the arm……Angad smiled and gathered his little daughter from Kripa………you promised………..he told Kripa sternely…

K: Raised her eyebrow…..promised? what?

A: That you will spend more time with me………

P: Yes …….Prithvi threw a arm in air and jumped up……..he went to Kripa and hugged her and scooped the little boy from the stroller……..as they needed to fold it.....soon...

P: Yeah I know…….But we have some special relation here…..After all she was my wife……he said with eye brows up…..

A: Can't u just forget that…By the way she was your wife……..like u said…….It was in paper only………he said anoyedly…

K: No way…….we are on our honey moon…..She gave Siya to Tania……and held Angad's arm………I hope u two have a great time with your god children she said with a wink………

P: You bet………Prithvi winked at her……..and hugged Tania with other hand………Where were u going leaving me alone……he wishpered in her ears…..Tania is the same girl who helped kripa finding Angad…….Her engagement was broke and when Prithvi went to live in Canada, they fell in love and married a year later…..

P: Hey Prateek........what do u say.......Will u come with me........Lets leave mom and dad and have some fun.......

Prateek: Sure Prithvi Uncle......But I am sleepy........can I sleep..........Prithvi laughed at the sleepy child and told him its ok...if he sleeps........Prateek was asleep in few minutes...........Kripa looked at Prateek and Prithvi affectionately.......

K: Rolled her eyes on mentioning the girls….You won't believe this girls Prithvi…but they took same field in college……..then went to Australia together…taking admission for the same MBA course together……Its like they have become inseperable unit…….

K: I hope so,……..Speaking of love birds where are Karan and Nandini………

P: On their 3rd honey moon………They are celebrating their anniversary at Hawai…….but don't worry….they promised to come back before your anniversary to give u a party….
