Rakhi Sawant: I got a boob job. So what?

Sawant comes clean about her breast implants, saying she plans to get rid of them soon only to have them back six months later! What gives?


Three days ago, HiTLIST published some pictures that clearly indicated that Rakhi Sawant had gotten herself a boob job for greater… well… upliftment.

In the past, Rakhi had admitted to getting botox shots on her face and lips but always maintained that she never got breast implants.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, Rakhi has admitting to having silicone implants.

Did you get a boob job?

(A long pause followed by a laugh) Many actresses have done it. What's the big deal? Kiya toh kaunsi chori ki ya gunaah kiya (If I've done it, I haven't committed a crime)?

When did you get it done?

It was done one-and-half years back by Dr Gupta, who's based in Dubai. He has done the procedure on many actresses.

Why did you feel the need to get it?

I used to feel incomplete. I have a lovely waist and hips, but was flat on top. I was 32", now I am 36". God never endowed me, so a doctor helped. What's wrong with that? But... (trails off)....

But what?

I am going to remove the implants soon, else I won't be able to dance in a show I'm doing with Abhishek (Awasthi, her boyfriend).

The implants tend to bounce if one dances very hard. Six months after that, I'll get them back.

Talking about Abhishek, there's a buzz that you've tied the knot.

Are you crazy? Why should I marry now? It will affect my position in the industry.

That's probably why you're hiding it.

I swear on Ganpati baba. I swear on my career. I have not married Abhishek yet. I would definitely like to marry him, but after five years.

Why so long?

I want to go further in my career. Plus, I want Abhishek to settle down in life. How long can I continue earning? A girl has a limited span in this industry, so it's essential that my man becomes independent and successful.

A film glossy has claimed the marriage happened on May 21?

That publication simply wants to create a sensation.

Ok, so you're just living in with Abhishek?

I am not living in with him. I do spend a lot of time with him, but he stays at Yari Road with friends. I live alone in my flat in Serenity Complex, Oshiwara.

Sources say he is after your money?

I don't think so. We truly love each other. However, if he does have bad intentions, God won't spare him.

Your mother has a problem with him.

My mom says he hasn't made it in life yet, but he is so young. A day will come when everybody will say that I made the right choice.

We've learnt he avoids introducing his parents to your mother?

What does he want to do in life?

He wants to be an actor. To begin with, he will be with me in a big dance show. I can't spill the details, but I can tell you it's a very big show. Abhishek and I will make an official announcement in this regard in the next 30 days.
