Just Masha'allah, Chashm-e- Baddur?

I have highest respect for Khayyam saab.. but I just don't get this. He never gives any expert opinion on the way the contestant sang. Half the time, I see only Rajesh Roshan talking and giving sensible comments/advice to the contestant with Khayyam-ji saying nothing. And when Khayyam-ji opens his mouth all he says is Masha'allah, Chasm-e-baddoor or apake guruone apako achha sikhaya hai...achha gaya.

Since he came I think we mostly have rounds where contestants are singing today's fast beat songs. Is it that this music is not of his taste, he finds himself little out of place, and that is the reason he prefers to go quiet? I don't see him enjoying new songs as much. I also read a recent interview where he was highly critical of the music given by the new generation MDs. What do you feel?

He has mentally xeroxed the comments and when the time comes just pass the copy to them all.

In Urdu Chashm is eyes, sight... Chashm-e-baddoor means -- avert malicious glances or evil eyes...

It is like saying hey lord! protect this person from evil eyes.

He uses chashm-e-baddoor 🤓 only when a hot girl is on stage - like Sumedha in the first episode, and Reecha today. Probably says what he feels 😉

I don't think he is bad at all, I think before all those music directors judges should give their comments first, I mean Khayam and Rajesh Roshan should speak their mind first.
and I think he was very happy with sikandar's performance but why he didn't give him green signal 😕 I just don't get it.
beside wasi, sikandar joy gets the green signal, it's shocking 🤢

i agree but those grls dont look that good but maybe according to him lol..... he shld rather be judging their singing😆

😆 😆 Goes to show that not all brilliant music directors can make brilliant judges! I think it would have been nice to have a combined Khayyam cum Rajesh Roshan round so that they maha gurus could have heard contestants singing songs made by them (or is it coming up next week? Singapore is one week behind).

Also, I think Khayyan Saab and RR are too well-mannered and tehzeeb waaley log to criticize someone in an open gathering.

We had that round last week (India/US). And I think there were more RR songs than Khayyam songs in that round.
