A very interesting episode today:

Sumathi wakes up in the middle of the night and finds her mother missing. She goes out and sees her mother sitting beside her husband's photo and crying. Sumathi tries to persuade her mother to go back to sleep but her mother refuses and shouts at her to leave her alone.

Ram is in the room , Rekha comes in and tells him it is late and he has to leave for work. Ram says he is taking the day off and wants to spend the day with Rekha. Rekha is very happy. They both go down and tell Rekha's parents that they are going out and will have their meals outside. Just when they are about to leave, Ganesh arrives and wants to speak to Ram. Ram and Rekha refuse saying they are on the way out. Ganesh says it is important and after speaking to him, they can go out. Ram takes Ganesh out and talk. Ganesh tells Ram to listen to Suresh as Suresh was going to police to complain. Ramis shocked. Ganesh advises Ram to get another house for Kasthuri as Suresh says. Only then his problem will be solved, otherwise Ram will get into trouble. Ram keeps quiet and leaves.

Rameshwaram is sitting and looking at photographs (not shown to viewers) of girls to choose his future wife. Rams comes there and tells him about Suresh and getting a house for Kasthuri. Rameshwaram also says that is a good idea because it will be easier to get rid of Kasthuri. Ram agrees and goes in.

Ram goes to his room and sees that Rekha is in the bathroom. He thinks this is a good time to tell Kasthuri the good news about getting a separate house for her and he goes downstairs. He sees Kasthuri covered in a blanket inhaling vapor (she probably read our Dr. Spain's remedies for sinus and cold 😉 ) Ram starts to talk about his throgam to Kasthuri and how he left her after therir marriage because of Rekha.😡 And no matter what Kasthuri is his first wife. (REKHA nder the blanket and Ram is totally screwed! Ha! Ha! Ha! 😃 )He is guilt driven by his throgam to her.(Rekha is shocked to hear this but continues to listen) He has now decided to get her a house so that she does not have to be a servant anymore and goes on and on. Suddenly he hears Kasthuri calling him Chinnaya. He turns around to See Kasthuri standing there. He asks who is under the blanket and Rekha now gets up from under..THODARUM

Note: My favorite part - THE LOOK ON RAM'S FACE, HA! HA! HA! Finally I hope Rams gets what he deserves. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode.

March 29 (Thurs):

What a disappointing episode! I was so angry that should the director come in front of me, I would have kicked his/her butt! 🤬 Enna oru sothapal!

Ram is shocked to see Rekha and so is Kasthuri. Rekha just stares at both Ram and Kasthuri and kicks the container of water (I was hoping that she would kick Ram's butt😡). All she says is "Che!" and walks to her room. Kasthuri asks Ram what is the matter and what he had told her. Ram shouts that it is all Kasthuri's fault and runs behind Rekha. Rekha shuts the door and refuses to open. Both Kasthuri and Ram bang ont he door but it isnot opened. Kasthuri goes downstairs and sits at the altar to pray. Ram goes downstairs to Kasthuri and yells at her again.

Kasthuri is praying, asking God why he let Rekha suffer like this. Ram is once again pounding on the door. Rameshwaram comes there and tells him to stop and to go out for a while and come back when Rekha is rested. Right now Rekha is very angry and will not talk to Ram. Ram is afraid that she might someting to herself. Rameshwaram says if Kasthuri knowing Ram's throgam did not kill herself, Rekha who is more educated will never be a covered. Ram leaves.

Kasthuri once again goes upstairs and calls Rekha. No answer. She tries to open the door, and it opens. She goes and sits near Rekha and tells her that she always wanted Rekha and Ram to be happy. That Ram married her because he was forced to by their parents and that he never liked her. She also tells Rekha that she stayed in their house not because wanting to live and share her life with Ram but because she didn't know how else to live. She didn't want her father to know about her lost life because she wants him to live a little longer. Rekha gets angry and tells Kasthuri that it is because of women like her, that man like Ram are surviving. Kasthuri says it is Rekha that Ram loves. Rekha says that because now he likes her he is living with her and if tomorrow he sees someone prettier, he would dump her and marry someone else! Kasthuri is shocked to hear this..THODARUM.

April 2 (Mon):

Annamalai and Radha return and see Kasthuri and Rekha crying. Radha asks what is going on but Rekha is not saying anything. Ram returns and Radha asks Ram if Rekha fought with him. Both Annamalai and Radha apoligize to Ram saying that Rekha is their only daughter and as been brought up with too much love (Ram ku ithu rmba thevai 😡 ). Rekha goes into her room. Ram goes upstairs to mottai maadi and sits until night (Ipadiye 2 mins pass ayitathu 😡 ). Ram goes into the room and sees their wedding photo broken to pieces on the floor. He picks it up and tries talking to Rekha. Rekha tells him to shut up and says enough is enough. She tells him to get out of the room and throws the pillow and blanket. (Flashback when Ram tells Kasthuri to get out on their wedding night 😃) Then Rekha tells him to stop and says if he went out of the room, her parents will get to know about him. She then tells him to sleep in the corner. Rams goes to sleep int he corner (more flashback on his and Kasthuri's wedding night).

Next morning, Rekha takes coffee and wakes Kasthuri up to give her coffee. Kasthuri asks why Rekha is servingher. Rekha says that from now on Kasthuri has all rights and more just like herself. Rekha says she will make Ram's live hell.

Sumathi wakes up in the morning and asks for coffee. She goes to the kitchen and sees all the work undone. She sees her mother and asks where the maid is. HER mother says the maid will not come any more and Thanam will have to do everything before going to the office. Thanam says she is happy because at least now her MIL as asked her to do the housework, soonshe will be accepted as the DIL. Megala tells Thanam not to dream about something that is not going to happen. Sumathi offers to help but Megala stops her. MEgala goes to her husband's photo and promises to make Thanam suffer. Thanam brings coffee but Megala refuses. Sumathi accepts the coffee and Thanam takes another cup to her husband. Sumathi looks at Thanam and gives a wicked smile and drinks the coffee. THODARUM

.April 3(Tues):

Thanam takes coffee to Siva. Siva asks her what is wrong and Thanam says nothing. Siva tells her he knows what is going on. Thanam says it is ok, she will do all the housework before going to office, but she is only sad that her MIL will not eat anything that she cooks. Siva tells Thanam that from now on they will eat at the canteen and his mom can do what she wants. Thanam agrees and both get ready for work. Unknown to them, Sumathi and her mother are eavesdropping (Don't these people have any shame at all - eavesdropping on the son and DIL - ewww 😡 ).

Rekha is resting in her room, Kasthuri collects some clothes for washing and Ram comes in. He looks at Rekha, and tells her is is leaving for work early as Rekha doesn't even want to look at him. Rekha tells him that not only she doesn't want to see his face, him being in the house makes her feel like burning up! Ram says he is not in the wrong but it was due to santharpa sulnillai that all this happened (Yeah right! ) Rekha asks him if she can blame the same santharpa sulnillai and marry someone else!(Way to go girl! 👏 ) Ram is shocked to hear this. Rekha then tells him that she is not like that, but all it takes is for her to make one complaint at the police station and he will be behind bars. But insteat of doing that, she will make sure that Ram will suffer more than how he would in the slammer (hmmmm.. 😍 )

Rekha leaves the room and Ram gets a call from Suresh. Suresh wants to know when Ramis going to live with Kasthuri in a separate house. Ram shouts at him, but Suresh says that he has sent Ram-Kasthuri wedding photo to Annamalai and it would arrive shortly. Ram is really frightened now. He goes downstairs. Downstairs, Rekha is at the dining and both her parents are asking what is wrong with her and for her to tell them if there is any problem between her and Ram. The courier arrives and Annamalai receives the envelope. He opens and reads the letter from Suresh. The letter states that Annamalai is a good person and he is giving shelter to many people but to be careful because there are some who is out to cheat him. Enclosed a photograph - the photograph of Ram-Rekha wedding .
Ram is relieved. Annamalai says that the only Suresh they know is Kashturi brother and why would he send the photo. He deduces that maybe he found it and sent it. Once again Suresh calls Ram and says that he sent the Ram-Rekha wedding photo on purpose - to give Ram a last chance (I wonder how many last chances there are 😕). Ram warns Suresh that he will have to face the consequences if he doesn't leave him alone but Suresh is not afraid of him and tells him off and hangs up of Ram. Ram is furious and throws his cell down.

Siva is getting ready to go to work and calls Thanam. Sumathi comes there and tells Siva to get a new maid as Thanam is doing all the housework alone. Her mom joins them and tells Siva that Thanam should not goe to work anymore. Siva says Thanam is well educated and is holding a good post and why should she stop work. Thanam comes and says she is ready. Her MIL tells her not to go to work. Thanam refuses saying that she will work and has already discussed this with her husband. MIL then talks bad about Gaja being pregnant before marriage. Thanam get angry and tells her MIL that she has no right whatsoever to talk about her family in any way. If whe wants to talk about herself, it is OK but never about her family. MIL tells Siva and Siva supports Thanam by saying his mom has no right to talk about Thanam's family. Then Thanam says that working is her personal affair and MIL has nor business interfereing in it. Sumathi clears the situation by taking her mother inside. THODARUM......

.April 4 (Wed):

Before I start the update. I request all of you to get ready to bash Kasthuri. She deserves all that she is suffering 😡.

Sumathi takes her mother aside and tells her to allow Thanam to work. Megala says no because she will then have attitude. Sumathi says Thanam earns about $7000 a month and in a year including bonus and all they would earn almost $100,000. Megala is happy to hear this and goes out and tells Thanam she can go to work, on condition that Megala's words must be followed. Thanam is happy and agrees (Poor girl, she doesn't know what she is getting into😭).
Kasthuri is getting ready to pray. Ram comes there and shouts at her. He wants her to tell Suresh to leave town and stop bothering him. He doesn't care how she does it but she has to convince him. Kasthuri agrees and goes to Ganesh's house and tells Ganesh about Suresh sending the photos to Annamalai. Suresh comes out and tells he will not leave until he gets justice for Kasthuri. Kasthuri then tells them that Rekha knows about Ram and herself. Althoug both Ganesh and Suresh are shocked, they are happy that at least half their work is done. Kasthuri tells Suresh to leave town but Suresh is determined to stay.

Ram is standing alone in the patio. Kasthuri comes there and sees Ram sad and asks what the matter is. Ram asks Kasthuri to talkto Rekha about them. He also requests that Kasthuri not to tell about his parents as he has told Rekha he is an orphan. Kasthuri promises to speak to Rekha and leaves. 😡 Ram then curses himself to have to beg Kasthuri to talk on his behalf to Rekha, in order for him to leave with her.

Suresh comes to Rekha's house and sees her in the living. He asks for Kasthuri and Rekha tells him she is drying laundry in the mottai maadi. Suresh gets angry and says that eventhough you know who my sister is your are still treating her like a servant. Rekha tries to reason with him but Suresh is not ready to listen. Kasthuri comes down and gets angry with Suresh. THODARUM.

April 5 (Thurs):

Kasthuri shouts at Suresh and tells him not to be disrespectful towards Rekha. Rekha tells Kasthuri to stop as Suresh has the right to be angry. She then tells Suresh that he is responsible for Kasthuri's predicament. She tells him that it is not enough to call himself as brother, he should behave like one. She tells him that it is not enough to talk and shout but must take action against the person to has cheated his sister(Go Girl 👏 ). Suresh is surprised. She tells him to take action and she will support him. Suresh leaves. Kasthuri tells Rekha to stop him but Rekha says let him do his job. All this is watched by Ram from upstairs.

In the village Murali and his mother are talking. Mom wants Murali to go see his father. Murali wants to know why his father doesn't want to come to the village and his mum says hat he is afraid to meet her brother. Kasthuri's father comes there and tells Murali to go to Palani's village and find out about his family. She asks her brother to get a job for Palani. He tells her that his family is more important than the job but tells her he will try to get a job for him and leaves.

The next scene was a total waste of the 5 mins we get between breaks! 😡 Ore aluvachi. 😭 Rekha cries and looks at the toys bought by Ram. Inga Oru flashback - Ram coming home with a doll. Rekha gets the toys and throws them down. The doll (a cute baby crawling - my daughter had one of these when she was a baby - parunga enake oru flashback vanthachi 😉 ) Rekha looks at the doll and cries. Poor dolly, crawls and falls from the bed - dish. 😭 🤢Break!

After the break - Konjum vegam: Kasthuri is cleaning. Rekha comes there and asks if she has finished her work. Kasthuri replies - yes Rekha Ma. Rekha tells her not to add a 'Ma' after her name and just to call her Rekha as they are equal. She then asks Kasthuri to follow her to the hospital. Kasthuri says that eventhough she is angry with Ram she cares for the baby. Rekha says she is not going for the regular check up but for an abortion! 😲 Ram comes there and is listening- adoi idi mel idi intha alukku! Kasturi tells Rekha not to do that because she has no right to take a life given by God. Rekha says she is not willing to carry the baby of a throgi Ram ku inoru dish . She asks Kasthuri if she is coming and Kasthuri sees Ram standing and tells Rekha to reconsider. Rekha tells Kasthuri she will go alone, turns and sees Ram. Ram tries to stop her but Rekha goes upstairs without acknowledging him. Kasthuri tells Ram to go upstairs and talk to Rekha. Ram goes upstairs and tries to stop her but Rekha is adamant. Ram tells her to at least wait for her parents and tell them. To this Rekha says that she will have to tell about Ram's throgam before telling about the abortion. Ram says that is fine as he is willing to face any punishment. Rekha says that she will listen to Ram but on one condition and when Ram asks what it is, she says can you guarantee that this child I am carrying will not have your throga buthi? Ram is shocked again. 😲

Rekha pushes Ram aside and leaves for the hospital. Downstairs, Kasthuri tries to stop her but Rekha asks her who she is to stop or tell her what to do. Rekha gets into the car and Kasthuri gets in with her and they leave. Ram gets upset and goes in.

Rekha goes to the hospital and tells the doctor she wants to abort the baby. The doctor asks if her parents know about it or if her husband agrees. She says she cannot do the abortion without the husbands consent. She also tells Rekha that she has been her family friend for the past 10 years and she is unable to ruin that relationship. Rekha gets anry and says if she cannot do it she will find some other doctor who will. The doctor then stops Rekha and says she will do it but Rekha has to take some pills for about 3 days and then come back to do the procedure and Rekha agrees.

The come home and Rekha goes in. Ram asks Kasthuri what happened and Kasthuri relates everything that happened and says it is over. Ram gets very upset and goes up to see Rekha and shouts at her and asks how she can kill his baby to which Rekha says she is the one carrying and she has the right to do it. Ram says for the first time he has begun to hate her. Rekha says that is exactly what she wants - for Ram to hate her and get ut of her life. He then pusheds her down and goes to the doctor. He goes in and fights with the doctor. The doctor tells him that she did not do anything but give some vitamins. Ram apologizes and goes home.

Gaja is pacing the living. Attai comes and asks what the problem is and Gaja says she is waiting for her husband. He had gone out to look for job and has not returned and she is worried. Attai tells her not to worry. Gaja's father come in and ask what is wrong and Attai tells about Palani going to look for job. Gaja's father says not to worry as he will get a job for Palani. PAlani returns and says he did not get the job. FIL tells SIL not to worry as he will get a job for him and tell Gaja to take him and serve dinner.

Sumathi is on the bed reading. Thanam comes there and thanks her for helping her to change Megala's mind to let her go to work. If Sumathi had not intervened, surely there would have been bigger problem. Sumathi says not to thank her because she helped her so that she herself will torture her later for what had happened in college. Sumathi says she prefers to face off a strong and able enemy. She also says there is two ways to kill an enemy: One by giving poison and another by giving Velam. Now she has given velam to Thanam. Thanam smiles and wishes Good Luck and leaves the room. Sumathi gets angry and its her fist on the table.

Kasthuri is mopping and Ram is getting ready to leave for work. His cell rings and Ram gets agitated to see his FIL' s no. He shouts at Kasthuri saying why her father is callling when he had told her to tell her family not to call him. Hsi cell rings again and Ram answers. FIL asks how he is and Ram asks what is the matter. FIL says that Palani is looking for a job and that he knows a VIP Mr. Annamalai in Chennai and that he wants Ram to see him and ......Ram is shocked to hear Annamalai's name. THODARUM

April 9 (Mon)

Continuation from Friday. Kasthuri's father says that his SIL Palani is coming to Chennai to see Annamalai abouta job and wants Ram to help him. Ram malupufies saying he is going to Bangalore for 2 weeks and will not ba able to help. FIL says he will send Palani after two weeks. He asks for Kasthuri and. Ram lies saying that he is driving and not home yet and cuts the line. Ram then shouts at Kasthuri saying that he doesn't want any of them coming to the house. Just then Annamalai and Radha comes there and Ram moves away. Annamalai and Radha asks why Ram is angry and Kasthuri says that someone from the village is coming to town and wanted to stay at their house, and Ram got angry and refused. Annamalai says that something is going on without their knowlege and he will find out soon.

Siva and Thanam are getting ready to go visit Thanam's family in the village. Siva tells Thanam that after visiting the village they are going to OOty for a couple of days. While they are talking, Megala eaves drop and then goes and sits down. Both son and DIL come and say goodbye. Megala then pretends to have severe chest pain and stops them. Both Siva and Thanam goes back to their room. Thanam and Siva talk about Megala having chest pain suddenly and Sumathi comes there and says there is nothing wrong with their mother and for them to go on their journey. Thanam says it is okay. Sumathi leaves giving an evil smile.

Ram is in the room looking a Wedding Invitation. Rekha comes intot he room and Ram tells Rekha to be ready int he evening as they have to attend is friend's wedding. Rekha asks what number wedding is this - I mean 1st or 2nd wedding for you friend? He is your friend right that why I am asking. Ram gets upset and says they have to go to the wedding. Rekha says here I want to end our wedding and here you are asking me to go bless your friend? Rekha tries to leave, and Ram holds her hand. Rekha gives him the most frightening look and Ram has no choice but to let her go. Ram is shocked.

Thanam is sweeping the house and the door bell rings. She opens it and both her attai's come to visit her. Thanam invites them in and they talk. Sumathi and Megala come there and both attai asks how she is doing and Megala says how canshe be alright when they day her DIL walked into her house, her husband died, and goes in. Sumathi apologizes and offer to brign coffee and walks in. Siva comes there and greets them. They talk and cofee is served by Sumathi and she tells them that she will make some tiffin but is refused by the attais. They take leave and Megala comes there and asks how they came there. Vasuki, one of the attais tells that they came by bus. Megala insults them by saying that they would have come by ordinary bus and not Express Bus as it is more expensive. Siva tells his mom not to insult them and takes the attais to the bus station. Thanam says bye and looks out. THODARUM

April 10 (Tues):

Kasthuri is watering the plants. Rekha comes there and give her some papers and wants Kasthuri to ask Ram to sign the papers - divorce papers!. KAsthuri tries to tell Rekha not to do it but Rekha is adamant and tells Kasthuri that she will be back in an hour after visiting her attorney and leaves. Kasthuri takes the divorce papers to Ram who is upstairs and tells him Rekha gave the papers for him to sign. Ram is shocked to see the divorce papers 😲 . Flashback - he thinks when he gave the papers to Kasthuri. This flashback goes on for at least 2 minutes. 😡 Ram leaves the papers on the nightstand and leaves.

Rekha comes home and sees Ram sitting and the papers are on the nightstand. Rekha asks him to sign the papers and Ram says he will not. Rekha says that Ram will not loose anything if he divorces her because he has another wife. It is she who will be without a husband. Then Rekha tells Ram that he did not think about Kasthuri's future when he cheated her. To this Ram tells Rekha that he wanted to divorce Kasthuri and give her alimony. Rekha gets angry and tells Ram that he has nothing to worry because he is living in her house and after divorce, she will give him an amount as alimony (GO Rekha 👏 ). Ram gets angry and says he will not sign and they cannot be divorce with both consenting. Rekha tells him if he doesn't sign the papers she will goto the police to which Ram says for her to do what she wishes.

It is night and Ram is sitting on the bed. Rekha comes there and takes her pills. Ram laughs to himself saying that Rekha doesn't know about the doctors conversation with Ram and the pills she is taking is vitamins. Rekha tells Ram she is sleepy and wants Ram to take the sheets and sleep on the floor. Ram says he will not because he has body ache sleeping on the floor the past couple of days. He tells Rekha she too can sleep on the bed as he has no objetions. Rekha says she will not and takes the sheet to sleep on the floor. Ram tries to stop her and Rekha says Ram is not a person who will repent for the throgam he has done, so no sympathy should be shown to him. Unknown to them Radha listens to their argument and is worried. She goes downstairs and sees Kasthuri cleaning the dining table. She asks Kasthuri what is the problem between Ram and Rekha and Kasthuri says there is no problem. Radha says Kasthuri knows but is not telling her. Radha tells Kasthuri if the problem is not solved it could to to the extend of divorce! Kasthuri is really worried now. THODARUM....

April 11 (Wed):

Rekha is in her room. Kasthuri comes in with coffee. Rekha tells Kasthuri to quit being a servant. Ram's cell rings and Rekha just lets it ring but Kasthuri compels her to answer. Rekha answers and wants to know who is calling. Thanam says she is Kasthuri's sister and she wants to speak with Ram. Thanam also asks who Rekha is and Rekha says she is the maid and Kasthuri si still sleeping. Ram comes out and Rekha says Thanam is on the line. Thanam asks about Kasthuri amd praises Ram for being a good husband 😡 . Ram hangs up and Rekha comments that only Ram can talk with sweetness on the lips but hatred in the heart.

In the village, Kasthuri's dad has asked for a Marriage Broker to come with some girls' photos and jathagam. His sister Vasugi comes and the photos are given to her. Vasugi asks why the hurry to get Suresh married. Her brother says its not for Suresh but for Murali. Murali comes in and says he is going out. He is also given the photographs but he says what is the hurry and goes out.

Kasthuri enters with groceries and a letter. She hands over the letter to Radha and walks to the kitchen. Annamalai comes there and Radha gives the letter to Annamalai saying it is from a Mr. Sivaraman and asks who he is. Kasthuri stops to listen because it is her father's letter. Annamalai says that Sivaraman wants his help to get his mapillai Palani a job. Both decide to help him. Annamalai also tells his wife that they wouldbe coming to their house in two days time. Kasthuri is unable toto anything and is worried.

Rekha comes down and tells her mom she is going to her friends. Radha gets anry and asks why she is leaving the house when Ram is home. She asks what her problem is and tells her to be home. Annamalai also comes down and Radha tells him the Rekha is going out because Ram is in and wants to find out what their problem is. Ram too comes down. They ask him what the problem is and if they can help solve it. Ram says it is nothing and he will take care of it. Then Annamalai asks his wife to go as he needs to get ready for work. Annamali tells Ram that a friend of him is coming with his mapillai and want him to help get a job. He asks Ram if there is any vacancy in his office to which Ram says he will find out. After both of them leave, Ram tells Rekha not to go out because of him as he will leave. Rekha just gives him a look and walks away. Kasthuri stops Ram and tells him that the friend Anamallai mentioned is none other than her father and Palani. Ram shouts at Kasthuri and leaves.

In the village, Kasthuri's father is waiting for Murali to get a cab. Gaja is packng for her husband and also packs some sarees. When asked Gaja says she is also coming with them as she can't be without her husband. Palani tries to talk her out of it but in vain. Finally they agree that Gaja too follow them.

Kasthuri is in thegarden trying to think of a way to stop her father and BIL from coming t Chennai. Rekha comes there and asks why she is worried. She tells Kasthuri that Ram has put moondru mudichi for Kasthuri and moondru mudichi for her self and it is not easy to undo the mudichi. THODARUM.
