People may get used to Vikas as Prem (I won't be watching, but others), but as you said, there are certain roles that are made for certain people: Manoj MADE UD. Manoj has said time and again that Ekta gave him a lot of creative freedom to play the character the way he wanted, and that he worked hard on every aspect of it. So the character of UD or Prem IS Manoj, because he is the one who created it. He took a few lines from a sheet of paper and breathed life into them to make a real 3D, flawed and HUMAN character. Everything that we love about him is thanks to MB's hard work, and for that reason alone, we will never like another actor playing Prem, no matter how good the actor is.

Even when RR replaced Amar as Mihir in Kyunki, RR played the char in his own way, not mimicking Amar. The char was also 20 years older, so it was easier to mould him. That's why RR as Mihir worked. If Vikas comtinues to play Prem by mimicking MB, it will never work.

yea exactly..u r so right,pswayer..manoj made the character by himself..so i dunt understand how any1 else can play tt character besides manoj himself! i really think ekta shud hv jus ENDED d whole show...i dunt knw wat dragging it is gonna bring d whole show to..widout d real actors tt ppl like us love to watch...vikas certainly cant act like prem/ud..after seeing d 2nd episode of him as ud as well..i just cant accept him..its no fun watching ud parts anymore😕😕

wel i think Vikas is a gr8 actor though he cannot be compared 2 the gr8 gr8 Manoj aka Prem/UD.... The basic reason 4 that is that he made his own place in this serial and he did things his way and i wuld really like 2 say this that how much ever u try 2 copy sum1's style u cnnot do exactly do wht they do and u may miss a little point bt that little point mayb the best part.... However ppl might get used 2 vikas as PREM/UD though no 1 can take his place.... V will always miss Manoj and the character he played.... this will b a new character played by a new character that might b liked.... UD/Prem scene's use 2 bring the show live bt not now i think... the music doesn't go with the character anymore... the dialogues don't go with the character any more.... I miss how Manoj said "MOTHER INDIA"his special accent... ALSO vikas has a very indian accent where as Manoj had a very english accent.... i miss every thing of Manoj.... Bt i wish the best of luk 2 himm... I'm very happy that he left the show after seeing 2day's episode as i wuld have hated 2 see him do such a cheap thing... he had chnaged .... even so being called he UD he had the heart of PREM as in his heart lived DEVKI/MUKTI..... ALSO wish Vikas the best of luk to do a gr8 job and build up the new character....

I totally agree with every single one of you, except those comparing vikas to Manoj, everything Manoj did he fashioned in his own charisma and talent, talent which was not only great but original and unique. Everything he did and said sounded his own and no matter who replaces him we all know it wont be the same, becuase the character was his to own and not anyone elses to try and attempt to portray. Eventually ppl might get use to Vikas, not me ppl who are still going to watch the show, but they'll never quite see him as the UD/Prem that they first saw and loved. Its only been two episodes since Manoj's departure and already we are begining to lose our desire for things that we use to love watching Prem/UD do. His music no longer has that same sound to it, The way he says "Mother India" does'nt sound remotely the same( and not even in a good way) and even though Vikas is still carrying on witrh the style that Manoj set for the character there's no longer any appreciation for that style. I guess these are the things which we'v truly lost becuase the fact still remains that if there's no Manoj there's no Prem/UD and i dont even want there to be a character of Prem/UD anymore not without Manoj. That character was made for him and no one else and no matter who acts as Prem/UD it just wont be Prem/UD. I guess Prem/UD left the day Manoj left all we have now is the hope to see Manoj in a new serial soon and the hope that the character of Prem/UD would be spared the ambarassment of open harrament and be cut out from the show or something.

I guess we all feel bad now but i cant begin to think what it's going to feel like when Cezzane leaves the show to.

I like Vikas, so i have accepted him as Prem, and he is doing well IMO

VIKAS IS A REALLY TALENTED ACTOR BUT PREM'S ROLE DOESN'T SUIT HIM VIKAS LOOKS FAKE
MANOJ WAS THE PERFECT PERSON FOR PREM'S ROLE
