Yash Chopra's 2007 releases

Yash Raj Films, easily the biggest banner of Bollywood has announced its 2007 releases.

From Shah Rukh Khan to Madhuri Dixit to Rani Mukerji, the movies star the biggest names in the industry.

Here's a look at what to expect from Yash Chopra this year. Chak De India

No, this is not a picture of Shah Rukh Khan in Don, but in his upcoming film, Chak De India. The film will be directed by Ab Tak Chappan director Shimit Amin.

Chak De India

Not many would remember Vidya Malwade (wearing a scarf), who was last seen in Vikram Bhatt's flop film Inteha.

Vidya plays one of the girls in the hockey team, which is coached by SRK.

Aaja Nachle

This is easily one of the most awaited films of 2007. After all, it's the comeback film of Madhuri Dixit.

Aaja Nachle is directed by cinematographer Anil Mehta, who turns director with this film.

Madhuri, who still looks fab at 40, plays a dancer in Aaja Nachle.

Beside Madhuri, Aaja Nachley also stars Kunal Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma. Both actors were last seen in spectalucar films -- Rang De Basanti and Omkara respectively.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

Like Chak De, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is a sports film as well. Only this time, Abhishek Bachchan plays a Chelsea football fan.

Lara Dutta, who had a tiny cameo in Fanaa, stars opposite him.

You saw them together in Soldier, and now they are back. Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta form the other couple in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The Deols were apparently upset with the Yash Raj banner after Sunny Deol was given a raw deal in Darr, in which Shah Rukh Khan stole the show. They have never worked with Yash Raj since.

Now, Bobby seems to bridge over troubled waters.

Tara Rum Pum

Saif Ali Khan teamed with Yash Raj successfully in Hum Tum. Now, he returns with his Hum Tum heroine Rani Mukerji in Tara Rum Pum.

This is another sport movie, in which Saif plays a racing car driver.

Laaga Chunari Mein Daag

Bengali actresses Rani Mukerji and Konkana Sen Sharma star in their first film together, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. It is directed by Parineeta director Pradeep Sarkar.

I wanna know more about the story of Lagaa Chunri Mein Daag. Its about two sisters, thats all thats known so far. Can't wait for Chak De India and Aaja Nachle too! 😃 Wow, Konkana is acting in two Yash Raj films: Aaja Nachle and Lagaa Chunri Mein Daag.

😆 So true, SRK did steal the show. 👏 People still remember his famous dialogues from the film. 😆 Same happened in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa! SRK stole the show, despite not being the conventional hero of the movie! 👏

Isnt it great,Yashraj are even roping in non glamourous artists like Ranvir Shorey,Konkona etc.I'm looking forward to all the 5 films,all look pretty interesting,especially Chak De India,Laga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle

PS.I dont know if its just me,but I was pretty much surprised when Konkona won an award at Filmfare.She was ignored at all other awards.What's fishy is that the main awards for the Best actor,Best Actress,Best Supporting Actor and Best supporting Actress went to YAshraj actors.Hrithik and Kajol,Abhishek and Konkona.Though Konkona truly deserved the award,but its strange she wasnt given her due at other awards.Likewise Hrithik winning for Dhoom 2 instead of Krrish too raised a few eyebrows.What's common between the 4 winners is that they all worked/are working in Yashraj films,so did Konkona win only because she is in two Yashraj films?🤔
