Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan popularly known as Salman Khan ( i didnt kenw he had such a long name)(Devangar: ????? ???, born December 27, 1965) is a Bollywood movie star. He rose to fame with the surprise hit film Maine Pyar Kiya and followed up with successful films such as Sajan, Andaz Apna Apna, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. After almost twenty years in the industry, he is still regarded as one of the top actors in Bollywood. People still say that the industry is ruled by the so-called "three Khans": Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan.

Early Life

Salman was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, into a Indian muslim family with strong ties to the film industry. His father Salim Khan is a successful screenplay writer. One of Salim Khan's wives (he has two) is the famous dancer Helen. Salman's brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan are also actors, if not as successful as Salman. Salman has two younger sisters, one married to actor Atul Agnihotri.
