Shilpa and mum look rather pleased with themselves

Shilpa Shetty is reportedly writing a 'memoir' of her time in Big Brother's house. She confirms the news. "Yes, there is a offer and I am seriously considering it. In fact, I am all set to go ahead with it. It will be exciting to pen down the experience. However, I am not sure if I will have the time to write it or get someone else to write it. But yes that is definitely on."

She was invited to visit the House of Commons and had lunch with various British MPs. She even spent ten minutes with Prime Minister Tony Blair. He gifted her an autographed photo of the House of Commons. Oh well, we suppose it's the thought that counts, not the price tag…

Love and longing: Shilpa looks strangely longingly at MP Keith Vaz

Dressed in a Neeta Lulla saree, Shilpa reached the Big Ben where her agent Farhat Husain and mother Sunanda were greeted by MP Keith Vaz. She then posed at the New Palace Yard in front of the Big Ben, followed by pictures at the Commons Terrace. Her next stop was the Question and Answer gallery. Later she had lunch with some MPs.

However, the sudden decision of Deputy Sergeant of Arms Mour Morton to stop the Indian media from going to the terrace outraged the Indian press.

Only the British media was allowed, while a couple of electronic media from India managed to sneak in. The rest of them were thrown out by Morton and his colleagues.

Shilpa was scheduled to visit Leicester, the area that houses the biggest Asian population. They were the ones who voted for her in droves. Incidentally, Shilpa was scheduled for a live radio interview at Sabras. She could not even get out of the car due to the crowd.

Shilpa's her Leicester visit earned her around 5000 pounds. She declared her intention of starting the Shilpa Shetty Foundation dedicated to helping AIDS patients.
