Diamond Oval Pitch Report:
The Diamond Oval pitch often provides favourable conditions for both seamers and spinners, particularly in the early stages with the new ball. Batters can anticipate consistent bounce, setting the stage for a potentially evenly matched and high-scoring contest. Teams emerging victorious may consider the strategy of batting first, with the goal of setting a significant total on the scoreboard.

Namibia U19 have won the toss and have opted to field
A warm welcome to the Group C encounter between Sri Lanka and Namibia. The Islanders from Asia picked up a pretty convincing win against Zimbabwe. After a decent recovery with the bat (88/5 to 204/10), they bundled out their opponents for 89. Namibia, on the other hand, were humbled by the Aussies. Despite getting bowled out for a meagre score of 91, they put up a fight with the ball as they picked 6 wickets. Both those matches were played at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley which will also be today's battleground. Will the bowlers continue to dominate proceedings?

Sineth Jayawardena: We were also going to bowl first. It's quite difficult to bat on, looks the same as the last two matches. This surface early morning there's a bit of uneven bounce. It gets settled after that. One change.
Alexander Volschenk: We'll have a bowl first. We just feel like there might be something in the pitch in the morning. Bit spicy, bit tacky, hopefully we'll get it out in the first 10 overs and then in our innings it'll be better. We have no changes in our team.
