48.4 Sam Curran to Shai Hope, SIXShai Hope brings up his century in style! Juicy half-volley on off-stump, Sam Curran misses his mark again and Shai Hope deposited it into the deep mid-wicket fence with a clean swing

Congrats

48.5 Sam Curran to Shai Hope, SIXNow that's some way to finish it off! Shai Hope takes his team to a superb win! Banged in short on off-stump, Shai Hope crunched it with a pull and it sailed over the deep mid-wicket fence again

The hosts are first up on the board as they hand England another shattering loss. They haven't had a good few months in ODI cricket and it doesn't get any better today. The Windies and Shai Hope in particular paced this chase to perfection. It was never going to be easy chasing 326 on a tacky surface but the openers got them off to the start they needed. They shared a 104-run stand of which Athanaze got 66 before being the first to depart. King followed soon after but the skipper held one end up while the others batted around him. At 218/5 in the 39th over, it looked like England held the upper hand but that's when Romario Shepherd walked in to provide his little touch of magic. He struck the ball to all parts and the English bowlers lost the plot under pressure. Hope and Shepherd shared an 89-run stand off just 51 deliveries and that was where the game turned. Even as Shepherd departed with 20-odd still to get, the skipper held his nerve. He got to his hundred with a massive six and finished the game off with another. So the Windies pull off the highest succesful run-chase in the Caribbean. Sam Curran was uncharacteristically poor with the ball today and ended up conceding 98 runs in 9.5 overs. Stick around for the presentations.

Jos Buttler | England captain: Fantastic game of cricket. Lot of credit goes to Shai Hope. We asked a lot of questions of them but they played really well towards the end. Thought it was a fantastic batting effort, really loved the intent that the guys came out with. The wicket was a bit tricky in the middle, they bowled well and slowed it up but it was a great effort. You always want to do well, just need to work hard and trust it’ll come good. Brilliant game of cricket, credit to Shai Hope and Shepherd, it was fantastic hitting and we’ll learn a lot from that. We did some things well, lot to take out of it, we’re looking forward to the next.
