India have their task cut out. They've got to score runs and score lots of them here because as we've been told, this pitch is a belter. A fantastic opportunity for batters like Sarfaraz Khan, Rajat Patidar and Dhruv Jurel to cut their teeth into Test cricket, there's no better way to make a name for yourself than to score runs in a marquee series like this.

Wood to Jaiswal, OUT

Wood hits a hard length, gets good bounce and gets Jaiswal to nick it to slip! That's a case of making things happen.

Jaiswal is out!

Mark Wood to Jaiswal, out Caught by Root!! Edged and gone! There's the first one for England! That's a really good delivery and it finds the edge. Good length and angling across just outside off, seemingly nipped away a touch off the deck as well, Jaiswal was caught in his crease and he couldn't help but have a poke at this, late movement and it found a healthy edge which went straight to Root at first slip. Jaiswal c Root b Mark Wood 10(10) [4s-2]

Mark Wood to Jaiswal, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Imo - they are playing test cricket too fast.  like ODI or T20. That's why they end up loosing wickets early. Even though wicket is placid they should spend time on wicket like test cricket.
