Though I'm against that electric shock thing but this was as a reaction made to his and Palki's characters being questioned in public by Shaurya. Though Rajveer was genuinely worried for him after that and regretted it and later saved Shaurya from a Nidhi's goon too. Even Kavya she isn't shown having a nice bind with Shaurya Even after living with him since childhood. But she's having great bond with her another brother Rudra aka Rajveer. It was Rajveer who saved her twice by risking his own life while Shaurya just acted like a clown not caring about sister but the fact that family is giving attention to his enemy Rajveer. He's so obsessed with Rajveer to the extent that he ended up getting obsessed to his personal and love life too. He always use Preeta to fool her to plot against Rajveer. He now attempted to kill Rajveer that too by a bomb blast in which he failed once again while Rajveer saved him once again. Shaurya's female friends too show intrest in him only because of his money but always tries to flirt with Rajveer due to his looks and persona. Even Shanaya cleared many times she is only interested in Shaurya's money otherwise any girl would want a man like Rajveer only. She herself has a crush over Rajveer and gets upset whenever he says she's just Palki's sister to him or they can't be together ever. Even Preeta she gets her motherly instincts whenever Rajveer Kavya are in danger. She started screaming Rajveer's real name Rudra when his life was in danger due to poison affecting his body while saving Kavya. Srishti her life too is limited as Rajveer's mother only now. Palki has no back story other than being Rajveer's lover. Even her another sister Mahi and friend Shreya had a crush over Rajveer. Now comes Karan Luthra the man of series since starting. He too don't share any bond with his that son with whom he lived since his childhood except scolding him for his activities. But share a complex love-hate relationship with his that son about whom he doesn't know till now that he's his second son whom he thought dead when he was just an infant. From altercations to emotional connections all are seen with Rajveer only for Karan not Shaurya. Now comes the Luthra family. Though they over pamper Shaurya but each one of them got connected with Rajveer the day they met him. Which made Shaurya getting insecure of Rajveer to the extent that he wanted to kill him too. Even friendship bond is only explored for Rajveer only with his best companion and son of his land lady Mohit Bajwa. He finds solace with Mohit amd shares his secrets with him. Not just this he confides his hidden feelings with him only. While Shaurya he just hang out with Sandy, Sanju, Amy. No friendship bond is seen. I kind of wonder if writers are actually thinking of going the opposite way here. Like they are setting Rajveer up to look like male lead but there is actually not much character growth there. The love story with Palki also was easy and not turbulent, which is not the MO for love stories in ZeeTV world. If Palki was to be paired with Rajveer, there is no interest long term as there is no clash between them. ZeeTV  love  stories/marriages don't usually tend to be so easy.

I think writers are aiming for another hate marriage, like they did with og kumkum bhagya, where Abhi hated Pragya but they eventually grew to like each other. Also, as a character development angle, they have a lot more places they can take with Shaurya/Palki pairing vs. Rajveer angle. I am thinking they will eventually make Rajveer more of a grey character, with revenge ramping up and Shaurya taking away his love.

I also think that Shaurya will marry Palki in his mind to spite Rajveer but obviously he also likes her so will soften for her. Palki will hate Shaurya bc for ruining her life bc she originally liked Rajveer. There is a lot of clash in their pairings, to the point that it will take them a long time to like each other...which is how the show makers usually prefer. I don't know, I could be wrong but secretly hoping for it to turn out this way because it will be much more interesting to watch unfold.

I'm not sure why I shouldn't talk about character development? This is a discussion forum that's exactly what people do on the forum...discuss things. I guess you got offended or something when I didn't agree with you? I was just musing what my personal thoughts were... on interesting takes the show can take. I'm not acting like these are facts or anything. It's really not that serious but why go around talking as if you are the writer themselves and definitely already know exactly that the writers are intending. I didn't realize that I guess, I thought I was just having fun contributing to your post but now I feel stressed by your answer.

The writers love misunderstandings and separation tracks, we saw that with Preeta and Karan in the first generation so why wouldn’t they show it for Palki and Rajveer?
