Urban legends are common all acrtoss the world.

When I was 15, it happened in my city Delhi also. A series of mysterious attacks and sightings occurred in May 2001. During this time, there were reports of a creature, often described as a monkey-like humanoid with metal claws and glowing red eyes, terrorizing the residents of Delhi. It featured in the movie Dilli-6 also. I never saw it, but I remember ppl were petrified.

Earlier in the 80's, Stoneman legend prevailed where a stoneman used to murder ppl on pavements by killing them with a huge stone. This happened in both Mumbaia and Kolkata in the late 80's.

What do you think of urban legends? Have you ever been part of any such legend i.e. existed when these took place?

I am fascinated by such things!!!!

I believe in science. I am skeptical of urban legends or superstitions. I find most of the time humans come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories.

I wouldn't dismiss them comppletely, though. The Stoneman murders definitely happened.

Dhruv Rathee terms it as 'mass hysteria'.
