Just caught Saturday's episode because I was busy on the weekend and only got the chance to watch this episode today. Long story short I really liked it.

Muskan did good. She's usually great, so she wasn't up to her standards this time. Maybe it was the song choice, maybe something else. Everyone can have an off day and it's not like she did bad or anything.

Gayatri, man. There's something addictive about her voice. It's so minty. It's not something you want all the time, but there's something that keeps drawing you back to it.

Shreya's performance, uff. Always the best medicine.

75 year old Mahesh Bhatt used the word erotic on Indian television. What a legend.

Dipan is always excellent. I worry about how long he'll last on the show but I hope he's there until the end.

Maithili was magical once again. She's been consistent every week and is so likable. I am rooting for her to make the finale.

Vaibhav's versatility shocked me. Two very different song types, both terrific. He is a jokester but so, so good.

Menuka transcends this entire show. This season is the best season of any adults show I've seen since maybe 2008, and she is on her own level She is that naturally amazing. At the same time I am so grateful that she is on this show to get this spotlight. She turned Mahesh Bhatt into a relatable and humane person for five minutes. She deserves the world.

Surendar always does fantastic. I can hear him every episode and I will never tire of his voice or performances. I say this every week and I mean it every time.

Anjana was tolerable, even really good at times. She allmost derailed herself multiple times but she showed restraint and stayed on track. If she can keep doing that it would be most welcome.

Ashutosh Rana is the GOAT.

I'm glad they did a medley to end the show. Mahesh Bhatt movies always have memorable soundtracks and they could gave done a month's worth of shows on them alone. Some of those songs are so legendary that everyone deserves to sing them together, instead of one singer getting that opportunity. It was a good way to wrap up an excellent episode.

That's right. I got confused.

Mithoon episode thoughts:

First thought is that a Mithoon episode was long overdue for any show. The man is a legend who always provides some of the most soulful hits of any given year that he works in. If his name is attached to a project, you know you are in for a musical and heartfelt feast. This season was the perfect one to honor him with.

Obom feels overlooked, but he does a really good job every time. The problem is consistency, since he's not always great. He was great this time. Easily his best performance since his audition/theatre round.

Adhya's performance was very daring and quite noteworthy for that reason. Woh Lamhe is an all-time classic by an all-time great singer and not the type of song that you would expect someone with her voice type to ever sing in a show like this. She took a big risk and it was a jarring start for her. She tried to stretch her voice twice in the end and both times she had to stop. But the middle of her performance was so unique and somehow worked. She's not the most versatile singer on the show, but she is fiery and a risk taker. I respect that.

Utkarsh was excellent. I keep worrying that he’ll get eliminated early, but I hope not. At least he’s consistently great and making the most of his time.

Subhadeep was also excellent. Sang two really tough songs and nailed them. If I remember correctly, he just won a singing show earlier this year in Bangladesh. It’s obviously not the same, but there’s no way he’ll win this too right? Regardless he is fantastic and I’m glad he’s getting the spotlight.

Ananya though, wow. That was heavenly. She might be my second favorite female contestant after Menuka.

Maithili had her best showing to date. Not once did I reach for the forward button. She was legitimately good this time.

Kumar Sanu: Opera God

That Kumar Sanu/Shreya/Vishal performance was mistifying. Imagine beign Mithoon and hearing these three singing your song together.

Piyush is a contender. His performance of Baarish was very good but Maula Mere? Chills.

This was an awesome episode. Almost everybody brought their A game. I'm going to be so sad once eliminations start because aside from 2 contestants, I've become a fan of everyone.

Hiii! Good to see you in the II forum again. I’ve started this week too, so can’t say who to watch out for, but this week Ananya was outstanding

Today Ananya, Subhadeep and Utkarsh came on KBC to perform. Utkarsh and Subhadeep were amazing! Utkarsh was TOO GOOD! The way he went to the high notes was amazing!
