I was thinking same where is Altgr today I usually get notification of that I have been tagged for this thread by Saturday morning. Today I didn’t got anything and I was like where did altgr go.

Mostly excellent Saturday episode.

Muskaan was maginificient. She's so smooth and efficient with her delivery. They could start every episode with her and it will sound perfect.

I skipped Anjana's performance. Not interested in this season's SMP, sorry.

Gayatri's voice is so interesting. It sounds fresh yet partially unrefined at the same time. She's not my favorite but she is intriguing.

I almost blacked out when Shreya sang Barso Re. Sensory overload through the tv screen.

Dipan did an excellent job. His articulation was on point and he did justice to a Manna Dey classic.

Mahima has quickly become top 3 in my Mahim-based power rankings, right up there with Chaudhry and halwa.

Vaibhav is so much fun. I hope he's around for the long haul because my whole group loves him.

Piyush just, wow. Finale level performance after heartbreaking news. All the good wishes for him.

One of the underrated aspects of Piyush's performance was Shreya's handling of the whole situation. Imagine if someone else was in that position, especially N*** K*****. Shreya handled it perfectly.

Obom did good.

Overall I really liked the show. I'm excited for Richa's appearance, Adya and Menuka. I love this season.

Piyush's performance was so emotional and really good. What a heartbreaking news for him.

I also enjoyed Gayatri's and Muskaan's performances!

I agree with you about Anjana. But they'll probably carry her through based on her past. Her and Maithili are the only 2 I really can't listen to.Rest are all very good.

My sentiments are pretty much the same as Ibun Hatela. The most disappointing performance yesterday was Anjana's. I understand that the mentors are giving her songs to showcase her vocal range and that's fine but is it necessary to show that every time? We have already seen it in the auditions. Why did they had to give her Muqabla of all songs? Her low notes were so shrill that you couldn't even listen to the lyrics because she closes her mouth and sings them. There's no doubt that she has fantastic vocal range but what's the point if it's affecting the whole performance in totality? And the saddest part is she is capable of so much more in reality. She also does Carnatic music and very good at that

Why isn't the team tapping on that aspect of Anjana and positioning her as a rockstar all of a sudden? Even when she was a kid, her strongest point was semi classical because of which she won the show.

On the other hand Mahima and Piyush were fantastic! Piyush ne toh dil jeet liya mera. Rooting for him a lot now. I think it will still take some time for me to like Gayatri 's voice. It's a voice texture that I don't think goes with all types of songs but lets see. Overall a good opening episode. The stage looks wonderful and so dreamy!

Thanks for opening the discussion thread. I have been busy in a family function.

I liked most of the performances. My favourite performances are - Utkarsh, Piyush & Mahima. Muskan, Menuka, Vaibhav, Obom were great too.

Anjana & Shubhodeep are highly skilled in their genres but I feel they overdid the improvisations and for the reason their performances couldn't make the desired impact.

Hussain's costume was horrible. Didn't like it at all.

I am absolutely loving this season of Indian Idol so far.

Piyush, Subhadeep and Utkarsh are my favorites as of now.
