Part 8

Tears roll from Khushi's eyes. She went to Sameer and said, "Thanks. Sometimes, it gives a feeling that outsiders are our people and vice-versa."

Khushi leaves. Sameer gets emotional and murmurs, "Sometimes, why do I feel that our people are outsiders."

The KC function preparations begin.

Khushi and Arnav observe fast for each other.

Naina: Even I have kept the fast.

Sameer: Oh really? You were keeping the fast, and that too for me.

Arnav: What is happening here?

Khushi: Whatever doesn't happen here.

Arnav: Okay.

Sameer: Why have you kept the fast for me? What am I to you?

Naina: You cannot tell your brother and sister-in-law what are you to them, but you are becoming a tiger before me?

Sameer: Leave my hand.

Arnav held Khushi's hand.

Khushi: Please leave my hand.

Arnav leaves Khushi's hand.

Naina leaves the hand and says, "Fine, I left your hand."

Sameer: What if I tell them?

Naina: You won't be able to tell them.

Sameer: If I tell here what you are to me, then what will you do?

Naina: You won't be able to tell as you don't have guts.

Sameer: If I tell then?

Naina: Then I will speak out about my heart to everyone.

Sameer: If you are challenging me, you will regret it.

Naina carasses Sameer's face and says, "Maybe that's what I want."

Naina: It seems that you are nervous.

Sameer sang, Wah Wah Ramji, Jodi Kya banayi when she was about to leave.

Naina turns back. Arnav and Khushi are surprised.

Sameer continues.

Bhiya aur bhabhi ko

Badaai ho Badaai

Bhaiya aur bhabhi ko, chu chu, chu chu

Badhayi ho badhayi, chu chu, chu chu

All the other couples dance.

Sab rasmo se badi hai jag mein,

Dil se dil ki sagayi

Sameer stops.

Khushi and Arnav caressed his face and went a little further.

Sameer: Naina, now it is your turn.

Naina starts.

Bole chudiyan, bole kangna
Haai main ho gayi teri saajna
Sameer comes forward
Tere bin jiyo naiyo lag da main te margaiya

Naina dances before Sameer.

Sameer dances with all males and Naina.

Khushi prompts Arnav to join the dance while Arnav hesitates.

Naina continues to dance.

Sameer and others dance.

Khushi takes a circle dance.

Arnav starts dancing

Bole chudiyan, bole kangna

Khushi gets happy. Arnav joins Khushi and Naina and hugs both of them.

All ladies get the KC plates with their Sergei.

Khushi takes the filter plate before Arnav and bows down, but Arnav stops her.

Apni maang suhaagan ho, sang hameshaa saajan ho

Naina dances with Sameer.
Aake meri duniya mein vaapas na jaana
Sehra baandhke maahi tu mere ghar aana

Arnav and Sameer dance with all the males and females

Oye soni kitti soni aaj tu lagdi ve
Arnav and Sameer move to their partners.
Bas mere saath yeh jodi teri sajdi ve
Roop aisa suhaana tera, chaand bhi hai deewana tera

Naina and Khushi dance.

Jaa re jaa oh jhoothe teri galla hum na maane
Kyoon taarife karta hai tu humko sab kuch jaane

Suddenly,  Sameer imagines Vivek entering, singing, and going to Arnav and Khushi.

Ho, oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh, ho oh oh oh oh
Mere dil ki duaa yeh kahe, teri jodi salaamat rahe

Then, he imagines Vishaka going to Arnav and Khushi.

O sajan ji, haan sajan ji
Yunhi beete saara jeevan saath mein

Sameer's dream was the union of Vivek and Vishaka with Arnav and Khushi. He gets emotional.

Vivek dances.

Bole chudiyan, bole kangna

Sameer and Arnav join Vivek.

Haai main ho gaya tera saajna

Vishaka joins Khushi and Naina.

Tere bin jiyo naiyo lag da main te margaiya

Vivek dances with Vishaka. Arnav dances with Khushi, and Sameer dances with Naina.

Le jaa le jaa, soniye le jaa le jaa
Dil le jaa le jaa, ho

Arnav comes to Sameer, taking him out of his dreams and pulling him to dance with others.

The men dance

Arnav and Sameer hug each other emotionally.

Vishaka goes near the pics of her children.

The song plays

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

Naina teaches the children to sing.

Doe a deer, a female deer...

Khushi comes there and taunts Naina.

The teacher smiles.

She said, "You are crazy."

Khushi: My son became a Britisher.

Teacher: Nothing like that.

Khushi: I wish we were in India. At least my son and sister would sing Indian songs.

Suddenly, Khushi hears the sound of Mom.

She goes to give milk to the children.

Sameer asked the teacher, "What are these children doing?"

Teacher: They are rehearsing a cultural program. We are also going. Please join us.

Sameer: Sure.

Sameer goes to the room and wears the shoes.

Suddenly, he sees a lady tying his lace. Sameer is shocked to see the same lady who becomes emotional.

Granny: I know that you are Sameer, my beloved child. You became so big.

She hugs him emotionally.

Khushi arrives. Suddenly, she hears Arnav calling her & asking for the key.

Khushi carasses Sameer's face & goes for the program.

The program is about to start.

Arnav, Khushi, Sameer, and Naina sit together.

Khushi: I must whistle as my son is coming on the stage.

Arnav: No whistling, please.

Aarav comes to the stage.

Khushi to Arnav: My son is so cute. He looks like you, my Sweetu.

Khushi hopes Aarav to sing India's national anthem.

Aarav: Mom, this song is dedicated to you.

Khushi becomes happy.

Aarav sings the Indian national anthem song. All Indians join him.

Aarav finishes.

Khushi runs towards Aarav and hugs him.

All foreigners get touched by the scene and clap. The judges award him the star of the show.

Naina came to Aarav and said, "You are amazing."

Aarav: Thank you, Aunty.

Naina: Don't call me aunty. Call me by name. By the way, you got nervous in the beginning, right?

Aarav: Yes, but I remembered the golden words.

Naina: What is that?

Aarav: If you want to achieve something, listen to your heart. If the heart does not respond, close your eyes and remember your father's name. Then, reaching your goal becomes easy.

Arnav looks at Aarav and recollects those lines.

Naina laughs: Who taught that to you? Is it Dad?

Aarav pointed out to Sameer and said, he said it.

Aarav and Sameer sit together in the garden's  seat.

Part 9

Arnav: It is great to see you. You became so big.

Sameer nods.

Arnav: Did you get selected for the cricket team?

Sameer: Yes.

Arnav: Good. How did you lose so much weight?

Sameer: I  always remembered your words. I used the formula that you gave me. 

Arnav and Sameer hug each other emotionally.

Sameer: I missed you a lot. The house was not a house without you. 

Arnav: I can't come.

Sameer: Mom misses you a lot, and she loves you very much. I got irritated when you told me that Mom loves you more than me. But today, I say that you are right. She loves you more than me. Please come home.

Arnav: What about dad? He picked me up from the street and gave me life but disowned me only because I married a girl of my choice. Mom needs you. So please go home. I saw you. That's more than enough.

Both hug each other.

Sameer comes to Naina disappointed.

Sameer: I requested him to come home, but he refused. I don't think he will come.

Naina: He will come. I know Big B very well. You win the battle if you can convince your dad to come here and unite them.

Sameer calls up Vivek.

Vivek: How are you, my son?

Sameer: I  am good. I dreamt that you came to London.

Vivek: Then I will come. After all, I want to fulfill your dreams. I may accomplish your goals.

Sameer: Thank you, Dad, you are the best.

Vivek: Where can we meet you?

Sameer: You can meet us near the Wimbledon tennis court, a shopping mall. I will send you the location once I reach there.

Vivek: Sure.

Naina: Wow, you have done it.

The next day

Arnav, Khushi, and Aarav go to the shopping mall near Wimbledon tennis court to buy some items. VIivek and Vishaka also come to that side but don't see them. At the exit gate, Khushi collides with Vivek, and because of this, he drops his book. After touching his feet, Khushi hides her face, lifts the book, and hands it to him.

Vivek: Thanks a lot.

Khushi was about to leave.

Vivek: Excuse me, can you please turn back?

Khushi avoids and goes further, but Sameer stops her.

Sameer, Naina, Aarav, Arnav, and Khushi face Vivek, who is shocked.

Vivek leaves angrily. Sameer follows him.

Vivek: You lied to me. You stayed with Arnav in the name of further studies.

Sameer: Yes, I lied to you, but I did enroll in the college where Naina was studying. I lied because the house lost its charm without Arnav. Your pride separated a son from his mother and two brothers, breaking the father-son relationship. I could further see that you missed him, though you never expressed.

Vivek: No,  Arnav is not my son 

Sameer: It is your temper and ego saying that. You brought him up as your son, and your life for him never wavered even after I was born. Look at my eyes and say that you don't love him.

Vivek gets speechless for a moment.

But says: No, I don't love him. Yes, I brought him up as my son, but what did he do as a son? 

Sameer: Arnav always obeyed and respected you. He always did whatever you told him to do. He considered you as his world. His only mistake was he loved a girl who didn't belong to our class, which is not a mistake. You know that from the bottom of your heart, and love him a lot.

Vivek: I already said that I don't love him. That's final.

Sameer: I always considered you as an ideal father. God gave you everything. I wish he had also given you heart. 

Vivek slaps Sameer and says, "You have become ill-mannered."

Sameer: I got the answer. You love Arnav a lot whether you accept it or not.

He leaves.

Suddenly, Vivek's phone rings. It's a call from the hospital regarding his mother's health.

Vivek, Sameer, and Gshaka rush there.

Somani: Where is Arnav? I want to see him.

Vivek doesn't say anything.

Meanwhile, Khushi tells Arnav, "I think we must move to our country as our family is there. I agree that your dad didn't accept me and is cross with you for going against his wishes. But it doesn't mean he doesn't love you, as love is hidden behind his anger. We must go there and apologize to him. I am sure that he will certainly forgive us." Our family is incomplete without elders. They also feel incomplete without us.

Arnav: No one can understand the pain that I have gone through. It is like he gave me shelter, life, education, and love, but on the other hand, it didn't take a second for him to disown me.

At the hospital.

Somani: I won't eat anything till Arnav comes.

Sameer calls Arnav and says, Granny is not well and won't eat unless you feed him.

Arnav: Fine, we will be there.

Arnav and Khushi meet Somani.

They feed and serve her. Somani gets better and gets the discharge.

Arnav and Khushi are in the hotel room and decide to leave.

Vishaka to Vivek: Arnav is leaving, but he will be happy when you stop him.

Vivek: Let him go.

Vishaka: Before our marriage, my parents and elders always told me to treat my husband as God and give him the due respect. You brought him home. That was right. You gave him all love and filled the place of a father. It was splendid. Later, he mingled with people and became a part of my life. I could not have asked for a better gift. After Sameer was born to us, you gave equal love to both, which was difficult, but you did a phenomenal job. But you disowned him just because he loved and married the girl against your wish, which is the first mistake. Because of your ego, the entire house shattered and became lifeless. God never makes mistakes, but you made a big blunder. So you are not God... You are only an ordinary husband.

She leaves.

Vivek: Vishaka 

Vishaka: Whatever I said is final.

Vivek gets speechless.

Sameer had overheard the conversation. He goes to the hotel room where Arnav checked in. He sees Arnav packing.

Sameer: Dad misses you a lot, though he doesn't say. Mom has been crying inconsolably as you didn't come home. Please visit them once before you leave.

Naina: Yes, Sameer is right.

Both join their hands.

Arnav hugs them emotionally and agrees to visit home.

Sameer, Naina, Aarav, and Khushi come home. Vishaka sees Arnav. Both hug each other emotionally.

Vivek comes there. Arnav bows down to touch his feet, but Vivek stops Arnav and hugs him emotionally.

Vivek: When I said that you are not my blood, you took it so much to your heart that you left the house without turning back even once.

Arnav: When you said that, with what right could I stay here?

Vivek: I agree that I adopted you, but you brought joy to the house. You fulfilled all the duties of a son. It was my pride that stopped me from accepting you with Khushi. When you left, I remembered a lot every day. Though I was angry with you, there is a lot of love hidden in that. You could have told me that I am the eldest son of the house and I have every right to stay here. Please don't leave me again. I have become old.

Vivek and Arnav hug each other. 

Vivek then goes to Khushi, who bows down, but Vivek stops her and hugs her emotionally.

Later, Vivek hugs the whole family.

Vivek, Vishaka, Arnav, Khushi, and Sameer meet Anand and Bela's house with a marriage proposal.

Anand: I am pleased to give my daughter to a big family like yours.

Aditya and Lavanya get the wedding invitation card. 

The next month.

Khushi and Arnav dance to the song Wah Wah Ramji for marriage rituals. Aditya and Lavanya join them.

Sameer and Naina get married.

Vishaka does grihapravesh for Naina. Aditya, Lavanya, and Kamlesh enter.

Lavanya to Naina: Congratulations, and I wish you a happy married life.

Naina: Thanks.

Kamlesh to Vivek: Glad to see you coming out of the meaningless tradition. My daughter is pregnant. I invite all of you for godhbharai.

Vivek: That's great. But if I could realize my mistakes, it was because of my sons, who are my eyes, and of course, the credit goes to my wife.

The next day, everyone goes for godhbharai and gives them expensive gifts.

Vivek: Congratulations, Kamlesh.

Kamlesh: Thanks.

Back home, Vivek and Vishaka play with Aarav. 

Sameer and Naina enter the room and open the gift wraps and boxes. 

Naina: Wow, such a beautiful chain.

Sameer sees that and says, "Yes, it is, but not as much as you."

Later, Vivek, Vishaka, Arnav, and Khushi plan for honeymoon tickets for Sameer and Naina.

Vivek: I want to get Arnav and Khushi remarried according to the rituals.

Arnav and Khushi agree.

The family prepares and gets Arnav and Khushi married according to the rituals.

Aarav: I am so lucky to see the wedding of my parents.

Sameer and Naina go to Maldives for a honeymoon.

They go boating, trekking, and take selfies, spending quality time in the lodge feeding each other.

Naina: It reminds me of when you broke my fast in Karvachouth.

Sameer: I had not eaten anything that day, and you broke my fast.

Naina: Shall we send our pics to Big B and Didi?

Sameer: Yes, I was about to say that.

Sameer and Naina sent the honeymoon pics to the family.

Lavanya delivers a girl child. Sameer and Naina return from their honeymoon. 

Aditya went to Lavanya and said, "You have given me a priceless gift today. Thanks a lot."

Lavanya smiles.

Lavanya: I always wanted a boy, but we should not treat our daughter like a girl.

Aditya: Yes, you are right.

Aditya and Lavanya invite Maheshwaris for the baby's naming ceremony.

Aditya's mother, Bansuri, says, "I think Khushi should give the name to the child."

Khushi: The child is cute and adds beauty to the house, and is lucky for all. So, I will name her Shobha Lakshmi.

Everyone accepts it.

At home, Khushi hugs Arnav, while Naina hugs Sameer.

Arnav: What's so special? You are getting very romantic.

Khushi: Mom and Dad got us remarried as we didn't marry in his presence. We should have another child that will give company to Aarav.

Arnav: Yes, even I was thinking the same. You asked the same when we were in London, but the cost of living was high, though we had all the resources.

A month later, Khushi and Naina use a pregnancy kit and find themselves pregnant.

Naina + Khushi: Mom, we are pregnant.

Vishaka: That's excellent news.

Vivek: Now, Aarav will get a company.

Arnav and Sameer return from their work and go to their wives.

Naina + Khushi to Sameer + Arnav: I am pregnant.

Sameer and Arnav take Naina and Khushi for the routine checkup.

Doctor: No need to worry. The mother and the child are doing well. They only need to take care to maintain their health.

The family takes care of Khushi and Naina.

Nine months later, Khushi gives birth to a girl, while Naina gets a boy.

A month later, Arnav and Khushi named their daughter Aditi, while Sameer and Naina named their son Vivaan.

All of them live blissfully ever after.
