Part 3

Ratan: Excuse me.

Diya turns.

Ratan: May I help you?

Diya: No thanks, its okay.

Diya nears the gate. Ratan passes by that side. Diya struggles to carry her luggage and ends up breaking the handle.

Diya: Oh God.

Ratan sees that and smiles.

He comes forward to carry.

Ratan: It's heavy.

Diya: Yes, there are a lot of things. You carry one side, and I will hold the other side.

Both carry the luggage to Diya's house and keep it in its place.

Ratan: If one is so tiring, we will be more exhausted to carry the rest.

Diya: Only two luggages are remaining.

Ratan: Fine, let's carry the rest.

Both carry the remaining pieces of luggage and get exhausted.

Ratan: I think we met before.

Diya: Yes.

Ratan: Nice house.

Diya: I work in a company, and they gave me the accommodation. Besides being a photographer, I am also an interior designer. What work you do?

Ratan: I work as a coolie on Sundays.

Diya: What about other days?

Ratan: If anyone asks me that question, I would tell what comes into my mouth, but I think I can help you. I am also a painter, besides being a photographer.

Diya: That's great. Can I see your samples?

Ratan: I have them at home. 

Diya: Fine, I am coming tomorrow to see them.

The next day, Kokila tells Ratan, "Your parents are coming from the USA, and we are going to Gehna's marriage. If you don't come, Jamuna will feel very bad."

The doorbell rings.

Kokila opens the door and sees Diya.

Kokila: I think you came to our house once.

Diya: Yes. I am Diya if you remember.

Kokila: Yes, I remember. Come in.

Diya meets Ratan.

Kokila: I am going to the airport to receive Ahem and Gopi. But will you come to the wedding in the evening?

Ratan: What will I do there? I get bored.

Kokila: Yes, I know. There are very few places that interest you. Fine, it's your wish.

Kokila leaves.

Ratan: Please be seated.

Diya: First, I want to see your photographs and paintings.

Ratan takes her to his room and shows them.

Diya stares at them with awe.

Diya: The same thing here.

Diya: The doors are closed, and no one can enter. The boxes are shut, and no one can steal anything. But who can say the feelings hidden behind your eyes? Your paintings tell a lot, but I don't know the other mysteries they hide.

Ratan looks at the pics.

Diya: What are you looking for? Which one do you like the best?

Ratan: I haven't yet painted that.

Munna is sleeping on his bed. Sameer comes there and pulls his rug slightly. But Munna pulls it back.

A few seconds later, Sameer pulls it. Munna wakes up. He said, "Oh, Sameer! You have scared me."

Sameer: Look at your state. Your face is as white as the bedsheet.

Munna: I am furious, and that too because of you.

Sameer: Why? I've saved your life, and you are angry with me.

Munna: You saved my life?

Sameer: Absolutely. It had to happen one day. Preeti would have ditched you one day or the other. Do you know why? She doesn't love you. She loves some other Munna. Yes, he looks like you, but he is another Munna. You are not that Munna according to Preeti's whims. You are our Munna. You are the Munna who Ratan and I know. Preeti can only hope to know you. If you become Preeti's Munna, our Munna would be the loser.

Munna smiles.

Munna: Oh, I never thought about that.

Sameer: Yes, I know.

Munna: I feel much better.

Sameer: Good. Pack your bag and come. Ratan and I will be waiting for you in the car.

Munna: Where are we going?

Sameer: Goa

Munna: Goa?

Sameer, Munna, and Ratan get into the car.

The background song plays.

Dil Chahta hain...

All have a quality time.

They reach Goa.

While they book the room, Sameer sees his female friend who loves him.

Sameer: Oh God.

He hides there.

Sunaina: Hi all, nice to see you. What a surprise!

Ratan + Munna: Hi Sunaina.

Sunaina: Where is Sameer?

Ratan: He is behind the plant.

Sameer came out and said, "Hi Sunaina."

Sunaina: Hi Sameer.

Ratan laughs.

Sunaina: Are you staying in that hotel?

Sameer: We were staying but are checking out.

Sunaina: How sad!

Sameer: I know, very sad. We miss you. We stayed here for a week. What do you all say?

Ratan: Yes, we have been here for a week, but Sameer came only today.

Sameer: Yes.

Sunaina: Your habit of making fun is still there. You never stop joking.

Sameer laughs.

He said, "Yes." and leaves.

Ratan: Come.

Sameer, Munna, and Ratan play volleyball on the beach with other people.

Munna sees a foreigner smiling at him and responds to her with a wave.

Suddenly, the ball falls on his head, and he falls. The girl starts laughing.

Munna waves at her.

Sameer and Ratan go boating while Munna interacts with a foreigner.

Sameer saw Munna and said, "Ratan, Munna is here."

While they were passing, Sameer heard a girl calling his name.

Sameer: Someone is calling my name.

Ratan: No one.

Suddenly, he sees Sunaina boating and says, "Oh no. It's the same Sunaina."

Sameer: Go faster, dude.

Ratan: The waves are very high.

Sunaina comes closer. Ratan tries to drive faster.

Suddenly, Sameer falls into the lake and swims to the shore. All three friends meet at a spot.

Diya and ratan share a common passion. Its a good start.

Munna is suffering from a heartbreak. Like his friend says. it was not to be.

Part 4

Sameer: What a beautiful place!

Munna: Yes, it is a beautiful place.

Sameer: We must make it a point to visit Goa every year and spend a week.

Munna: Definitely. What is your opinion, Ratan?

Ratan: Yes, you are right.

Munna: What are you seeing?

Ratan: I am watching the ship. It will vanish over the horizon. We three are like that ship where we will find our destination one day, and our goals may differ.

Munna: I am unable to understand why you are saying that. We are inseparable friends for life.

Ratan: Of course we are! But we don't know where our lives will take us. Forget about coming to Goa every year. We may not even come here once in ten years.

Sameer: That will never happen.

Munna: Definitely!

Sameer: Shall we make a move?

Ratan: Sunaina might be waiting for you.

Munna: In fact, she is waiting for you. I told her that we would see her at the poolside at 8. You are a dog.

Sameer: Buddy, I will kill you.

Munna: You like her.

Sameer goes forward to grab Munna. He runs. Sameer chases him.

The song plays

They get into the ship and spend a gala time. They ride the bikes and get into the boat.

They reach the Island and start fishing and eating raw fish.

Sameer, Munna, and Ratan play at the beach. Sameer and Ratan go near the sea, while Munna spends time with the girls.

Sunaina gets disappointed and cries. Ratan comes near her.

Ratan: Sunaina, why do you like Sameer so much?

Sunaina: What do you mean

Ratan: Sometimes I feel why people love someone so much. Why do you like him?

Sunaina: I don't know. But I do.

Ratan: Though you know that...

Sunaina: Sameer doesn't love me? But still, I love him.

Ratan: You are beautiful and intelligent and can get any nice guy.

Sunaina: If I am so good, why can't I get Sameer?

Ratan: I don't know, but one thing is sure: he is there whenever you need his help. But it would help if you didn't hope for dicey things.

He picked up the sand and said, "Are you seeing the sand? The tighter you hold it, the easier it is to get out of your fingers.

Sunaina wiped her tears and said, "Thanks, Ratan."

Both smile.

When Sameer and Ratan keep their bags in the jeep, Munna arrives.

Sameer: Where is your bag? Have you donated it?

Munna: No, I will be here for a few days more.

Sameer: Why?

Munna: Kristine wants me to be here for more time.

Sameer: Another girlfriend?

Munna: To know her.

Both hug.

Munna: Thanks Sameer. I wouldn't have met her if you had not brought me here. She is from Sweden. I am thinking of growing bees and selling their honey.

Sameer: Shut up Munna.

Munna: I love her.

Sameer and Ratan get into the car.

Sameer: I think he was better off with Preeti.

While they were about to leave, Munna came before them and said, "Don't call at my place till I'm back."

Both agree.

Meanwhile, Diya takes the measurements for interior design work. Ratan comes to her house.

Diya: How was Goa?

Ratan: It was superb. Have you been there?

Diya: Yes, I was there a long time ago.

Ratan sees a photograph and asks, "Whose picture have you drawn?"

Diya: It is my daughter's pic. She is staying with her father. My husband divorced me on my birthday as a gift.

Ratan: Sorry to hear that. Didn't you think about remarrying?

Diya: I can't think about marriage, leaving my daughter there. I want her custody before moving on, but I don't have money to file a case. That's why I'm working.

Ratan: Do you meet her?

Diya: No, I must reopen the case because the court hasn't permitted me to do so.

Ratan: Why?

Diya: My husband is very wealthy, and his lawyers are so competent that they can twist the case in his favor. He smartly proved that I am not a good mother and an alcoholic. He called me to meet her daughter and offered me juice, which was spiked.

Ratan: That's ridiculous. You are not an irresponsible person.

Diya: That's sad, but you were not there as a judge. What else did you do in Goa?

Ratan: We went for boating and played a lot of games.

Ratan then said, "I want to draw your portrait."

Diya is surprised.

Ratan: Please.

Diya: Okay.

Ratan draws her portrait.

Diya: Wow, you are a great artist.

Sameer, Vivek, and Vishaka dine together.

Vivek: What are your plans for the future?

Sameer: I have not thought about it.

Vivek: It's my fault. I kept giving you time as my dad is good at handling business. My pampering has spoilt you. At this rate, you won't even sign a check till I get too old to move anywhere.

Sameer: There are many other things besides signing a check.

Vivek: What are they?

Sameer: I don't know, but once I find out, I will tell you.

All of them laugh.

Vivek: Jokes apart. I've decided to send you to Australia.

Sameer: Wow, one more holiday. Cool!

Vivek: More than a holiday, I am sending you to your grandfather's place in Sydney.

Sameer: Mom, Dad is joking.

Vishaka: No, he is earnest, and it's time for you to be serious. I understand you spent days with your grandfather when you didn't like Somani's comments. We admitted Rohan and Divya to a boarding school because we were busy in business. Your grandfather left you to us because he went on different business tours. So he wants you to manage the company as you are big enough to do that.

Sameer: How can I manage your company when I lack knowledge?

Vivek: You are going to Sydney, and that's final.

He leaves.

Sameer: But dad, hell! Sorry.

Vishaka leaves.

The phone rings.

Sameer picks up the phone.

Sameer: Hello, how can I help you?

Prabha: Munna is not OK. He hadn't eaten anything and locked himself inside the room. Did you reach home?

Sameer: Yes, we reached yesterday.

Prabha: Are you and Munna taking drugs?

Sameer: No way. I will see what's wrong.

The next day, Sameer and Ratan meet Munna.

Sameer: You should have called me after having returned. What answer should I give your mom?

Sameer and Ratan sit next to Munna.

Ratan: What's the matter?

Munna: I am not in the mood to talk to anyone.

Ratan: Fine, tell me, how is Kristine?

Munna: Don't take her name.

Sameer: What happened? Please tell. Suppressing these feelings is not suitable for your health.

Munna: Fine. Two days back, I met Kristine. We had a great time. In the evening, I invited her to my room. We drank wine together. Suddenly, I felt drowsy, and she tied me up, took all my money, and disappeared.

Both laugh.

Munna: Yes, laugh more. That's why I never wanted to share these with you. The truck driver was way better than he was when he dropped me here. I'm in a bad state.

The next day, Ratan sends Diya an invitation to a painting workshop. There, he meets his parents, Ahem and Gopi.

Suddenly, someone touches his shoulders.

Ratan turns back and sees that the person is none other than Diya.

Ratan helping diya to carry the luggage was nice.where did ratan and diya see each other before?diya saying about the feelings hidden behind his eyes and what must be his paintings hiding was interesting. It did not take long for Munna to get over a girl and go running after another.

Diya has been manipulated by her husband to no end. She has an uphill task.
