Why is it so hard for many of us to trust Akshara's actions? This is not a hate post, kindly read with patience ♥️

In my opinion, most OG viewers (pre leap viewers) know how unreliable Akshara's actions are. Now I am not saying that she doesn't love Abhinav, maybe she does. After how Abhimanyu treated her post Neil's death, maybe all her feelings for Abhimanyu are actually gone and she cannot be blamed for that. However, it's difficult for viewers to digest that considering how she has been in the past.

I remember her saying in one of the very first episodes of how she wants to explore 'khud se khud ka rishta'. Khud se khud ka rishta, emanates from a place of self love and self worth, which Akshara clearly seemed to be lacking.

2 major flaws with her character were:

1. She has zero self preservation instinct.

2. She has a huge problem of glorifying people to no ends, motivated by her guilt and/or obligation.

A lethal combination of the above two has resulted in multiple circumstances where she has behaved as if she owes her life to people with zero expectations of anything in return. It was as if, she needed to prove 'her love' to other people.

The only person who she didn't need to prove anything to, was *drumrolls please* Abhimanyu :) He genuinely loved her for who she was. She fell in love with Abhimanyu and gradually acknowledged that she doesn't need to do anything to prove her love or sacrifice herself to be worthy of his love for her. She was learning to prioritise herself and love herself, alongside Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu was also the only person Akshara had any expectations from. Mind you, the only person.

But then, Abhimanyu is a man of extremes (and Harshad portrays him to perfection). In his rage he ruined the most beautiful relationship he had and Akshara leaves (rightly so). She doesn't know who she is anymore without Abhimanyu's love, her sense of self is ruined, she doesn't want to be a burden on anyone so she doesn't even go back to the Goenka's (falling perfectly in line with the narrative of no expectations from anyone but Abhimanyu). Eventually she ends up in Kasuali, raising her and Abhimanyu's kid with Abhinav (who is honestly, a decent character).

Abhir was the only reason she had any will to go on with her life and now her sense of self is completely warped with being a mother. Once again, she has someone (Abhir) in her life who loves her and whom she loves without having to prove her worth, so she is extremely protective about Abhir. On the top of that, she feels immensely grateful and obligated to Abhinav because he was there with her during the most vulnerable period of her life. And she has harboured immense anger (almost hate) towards Abhimanyu for what he did to her.

Now, if you see the aforementioned circumstances in the light of her 2 character flaws mentioned above, its just hard to believe that she actually loves Abhinav and the viewers realise this. 😄 (Many in the forum call her flipshu, which is hilariously apt for her.)

Dekho, I am reiterating again that I have no issues with Akshara moving on with her life along with Abhinav. In fact if that's the route makers are taking, they should let Akshara and Abhinav's love story take the centre stage and slowly phase Abhimanyu out. She has all the rights to move forward, especially after how Abhimanyu broke her trust. It's just hard to believe that considering how Akshara is written as a character.

Peace. ♥️

Your bang on target. This is exactly why the OG pre leap viewer don’t believe she loves Nav. We have no issues if we can see that it’s true. Her body language is so off reminds us of pre leap days when she would pretend she doesn’t love AB all cause she wanted him to marry AR.

Why do you feel that only those people who don’t trust Akshara are Og viewers, while rest are not? That seems an indirect allusion that new viewers or viewers who don’t watch the full story are just making a judgment on particular incidents and basing their opinions on the story, and its all Ak supporters who are like that. Perspectives can differ and that does not depend on OG or non-OG. It not just demeans the other sides’ point of view but also seems kind of priggish honestly. Would like to add that you are free to have your opinion but don’t claim such things or generalise this way if you don’t know the whole population

It's just a way to differentiate (which you are free to question), but demeaning anyone was never the intention. :) Apologies if you felt that way.

Not just OG viewers, seeing ITV's track record it's truly hard for everyone to reject Soul love theory.. which in turn leads to the Gratitude theory to explain the current narrative.. Ngl I too was a believer of first (tho never the second).

This coupled with the fact that writers kept AK's actions ambiguous for the longest time (until recently) to milk possibilities of both ships dint help either.

I've v.limited knowledge of ITV shows.. Idk how they'll come out of this mess provided they keep givin hopes to everyone... AK will end up with her soul love is the common perception.. so I'm just curious like what possibly could be shown that would affirm she really loves her 2nd husband.. like ITV has been so unoriginal in its storylines that it's really difficult even for people wanting to see the moving on thing to believe the 2nd pair being the endgame. So if writers want to be path-breaking as they claim... then what could they actually do to get out of this mess & stereotype.

(PS I've written this out of genuine curiosity for predicting the future track.. & to see if someone has good theories of how to sametofy this raita, excluding gratitude theory & AN turning black/grey.)

Your differentiating factor is incorrect in that case and that does not consider entire population, I have watched all episodes of s3, and I am not just one anomaly, I am sure there will be multiple others like me out there too, only request don’t put across generalised statements like that based on your assumptions, maybe you could have just written ‘I feel most OG viewers’ before whatever you said, I wouldn’t be typing this in that case, rest take care bro, no hard feelings

Oh, I completely agree with you. The writing has been so shoddy, especially around Akshara's character, it's really going to be a challenge for the makers to make her come out of this mess unscathed.

A few days ago I read (on this forum itself) someone's post/comment about writers contemplating to take the 'Dil ka Rishta' storyline. But even in that scenario Akshara's redemption arc will be missing and you would kill off a decent character just because the makers do not know what else to do. I am telling you, there seems to be no solution in sight to this raayta that the makers have failaoed. Lol. Let's see what they do.

I see your point. I think I'll edit my post.

No hard feelings from my end too. Take care.

I may not agree to most of ur points except the last few lines but May be I can try n understand what u r trying to say! I have watched all the episodes and before coming to this forum I have not analysed or read analysis of any character! So I didn’t really have any idea about these character traits or deeper meanings or their inner feelings ! I just watched it as another tv show as most of the viewers do! Neutral viewer!

So for me Akshara is a sweet girl and goes to any extent to satisfy her LOVED ones ! Arohi is best example for that , she may have guilt as Ar always accused her for her mom’s death but Ak always loved her and gave her what she wanted out of LOVE !

BP ,BM,Mimi and kv all loved her but definitely not like parents love their children! AbM loved her and she accepted and got married , she left him for an yr 1st leap for AbM out of LOVE! She. Came back but AbM accused her for running away to save kairav even after she disclosed the real reason he accused kv for Anisha’s murder n sent her divorce papers , she felt cheated and decided not to go back! She got very hurt by his actions but still stood strong and wanted to leave him and move on! But with little efforts of him she gave up and went back to him because of LOVE ! They r slowly building trust on each other and white day happened ! Even after what AbM did he is 1st person she called to inform when she got to know one of their kid is still alive because of LOVE but to get rejected again!

she is broken and met Abhinav who is a stranger helped her in all possible ways unconditionally! Asked him to marry her for the kid and gave him father rights of Abhir!

6 yrs they were together as friends, companions but never though of moving on!

Abhinav slowly started liking/loving her but never openly said her !

After their 1st UD trip after the accident she ran to AbM but immediately realised her mistake , may be there is a little LOVE still existed or as she said just because that they have a history!

She found Abhinav’s letter and thought of moving on ! But only after AbM’s Temple confession she started realising her feelings for Abhinav when AbM asked her how did u move on so easily what did sharmaji do! She rejected and explained him that her relation with him was UMARKHAID! She ran back to Abhinav, hugged for 1st time with fear of not wanting to lose him or his companionship! He asked her to go back she refused and chose to stay and tried to move on if not Abhir’s health!
so from there to her confession was a slow progress where she slowly but completely fell in LOVE with Abhinav her husband and she don’t really have any feelings for her ex except that she is only trying to be nice with him as he was being nice to her too! she sees him as her kids bio dad! Even when in UD She always wanted to go back to her kasauli home !she only wants her happy family with Abhinav and Abhir in their kasauli nest!

As a neutral viewer or a person who just watch the show on tv and don’t come to IF or analyse the show deeper will only think that Akshara loves her husband Abhinav! Because she confessed her feelings openly ,hugs him ,and feels comfortable with him ,their forehead kiss! She can’t fake all these right ? At least I can’t think so low About Akshara who will fake her love to Abhinav for what ever reasons I don’t even know!
Don’t know what happens later , they may route to Abhira again but still Akshara loves:loved Abhinav !

Yeah there were two Dil ka rishta threads actually.. and I remember writing a long post in one of them sayin how that won't happen 🤣

As far as I see, makers have progressed Akshnav too far to bring back Abhira now. It's only a possibility under the circumstances of any tragedy or AN dying.. then too the reunion will be more like majboori than willingly.

So I've the idea of legacy cliff makin an entrance ☺️ If UD had cliffs at every corner then Kasauli mein to ho hi sakte hai 😂 Akshnav can go down the cliff & that way kids will stay with AB. I think that's the best midway of pleasing majority rn. And finally we can get rid of this gen or even better the show 😆

Vese by AK's redemption arc you mean for hiding Abhir's truth right... I feel she already lost her kid's custody which is harsh enough.
