Lagaan vs. Gadar historic clash: Throwing it way back to 2001

Which film were you more excited for?

I watched Lagaan first day first show. I was obsessed with that song Ghanan Ghanan😆

I still remember people whistling and shouting in the cinema (not a multiplex) at Aamir Khan's entry and subsequent other moments in the film. It was a surreal experience!

I never watched Gadar but I loved the songs!

Which film made more moolah at the box-office?

In 2001 i had no knowledge about box office ,clash and all 😆 but i have watched lagaan later on tv.Have not watched gadar .

I watched Lagaan at the theatre. It was fun. Back then the photography and the locales seemed exotic. And ofcourse there were the songs. I was hoping Gracy Singh would become popular.

But I'm partial towards Gadar for some reason. Watched it on tv a couple of years later . Ameesha Patel looked serene in it . It was basically the same role for her again, compared to Kaho Naa- pretty much. Not keen on Sunny Deol but they had chemistry and the whole love wins at the end ' thing was nice.

In 2001, I was excited about eating dirt 😆

I watched these movies later probably in 2011-12 and found both of them really well made.
