Pathaan Starring Shah Rukh Khan To Become The FIRST Hindi Film To RELEASE In Bangladesh In 52 Years!

‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, will be released in Bangladesh on May 12. The Siddharth Anand-directed picture is the first Hindi film to be released in the neighboring country since its independence in 1971.

Nelson D'Souza of Yash Raj Films said in a statement, "Cinema has always been a unifying force between nations, races, and cultures." It crosses borders, galvanizes people, and plays a key role in bringing people together. We are overjoyed that Pathaan, which has done historic business around the world, will now be able to entertain audiences in Bangladesh!"

We've learned over the years that Shah Rukh Khan has a huge fan base in Bangladesh, and we believe Pathaan, our latest offering from YRF's Spy Universe, is the ideal first film of SRK and Hindi cinema to release in the country, representing Indian culture and cinema in all its glory," he added.

Pathaan became the highest-grossing film in Hindi cinema history, generating more than Rs 1050 crore at the global box office.

Bangladesh is very close to West Bengal culture. Many of West Bengal people are originally from Bangladesh.

We are Bengalis but separated by partition in 1947. Still our relations are very close with West Bengal people but except for West Bengal we don't have much similarities with rest of India.

Bollywood films are very popular in Bangladesh but people used to see the films by torrent links. We are people who download Indian films via torrent and other web links.

This is the second time a Hindi film released on big screen. First was Salman Khan's Wanted but the film was taken back from threatre because of the protest from local cinema actors and directors.
