Last year RRR ended Kashmir Files run really fast because it just released two weeks later and was a very anticipated movie. Otherwise the way TKF was trending, people expected it to be the highest grossing movie of all time beating Dangal.

Fortunately for Kerala Story, no big movie is coming this month. Even next month, Jawan got postponed, Across The Spider-Verse, Adipurush and The Flash can surprise but chances are unlikely. This movie is getting a solo run minimum for a month, and maximum for two months till Kartik's movie. It can go anywhere.

These are factually wrong statements. TKF started dropping in the second week before RRR even released with no chance of touching 300cr forget Dangal.

The Kashmir Files had another noticeable drop on Wednesday as it collected in the 8 crore nett range which is a 20% drop from the previous day. The total collections are 198 crore nett making it the highest grosser post the pandemic and it will cross 200 crore nett before the end of the week.

Despite these drops the job is done and the film is a historic blockbuster and among the top three films of all time in terms of the returns from theatrical as against the costs of the film. The 300 crore nett mark now looks a much tougher task for the film but there are weekends to come when the film can really score big.

The drops in business will come as a relief to the team of RRR as now its unlikely that The Kashmir Files will not be doing the sort of business that is a huge threat like last week. The third weekend willl still be like very good but more like a normal holdover and not one that completely
