Rekha used the same excuse
I stayed out of sun, this is my mother's complexion đ
Unless they were doing construction work, that excuse doesn't fly for the drastically fair skin
If sheâs telling the truth then may the lord strike me dead.
By the way I think it can happen.
My aunt had a not so fair complexion till her early teens (she wasnt exactly dark skinned) but suddenly in her late teens and 20s her complexion became much lighter for some unknown reason (my grandmother had a light skin tone & my grandfather was like white skinned with green eyes - so the genes were there in the family.
To some extent your skin can get lighter, but hers is a stretch.
She had a darker complexion during Baazigar and some of her earlier films and now she is very fair. I do understand she might have been outside shooting, but to be consistently the same skin tone during her younger days, I find it a weird coincidence that she is so fair now. Though, I am not for people getting fairness injections, I understand the implications and the film industry she works in prioritizes such features.

Weird and strange thing is that she was not only accpeted but loved with that complexion by all cinegoers, she has ruled in all of her peak years and even after her peak, with the same dark complexion, then why all of a sudden just few years ago she felt that need to whiten her skin when she already passed her prime days in showbiz long ago.
I guess those days in 90s these treatments were not that known or common, so Kajol nay socha ho ga sub karwa rahain hain toh may bhi karwa hee loon.. else there was no need of that, and she underestimated her charming looks with that dusky complexion and slightly bulky figure..
I always used to think Kajol was different the others, and secure in herself unlike most Bollywood actresses, but nahhhhh... and it's sad.
Thatâs complete & total BS. âStayed out of the sunâ?? âI only tanned a lotâ?? Does she actually think we are as dumb as she is. 𤣠đđ Tanning only reveals your ACTUAL skin colour/complexion. Kajol has always been very dark, her skin colour in Baazigar etc is her real skin colour.
Tanning doesnât reveal your complexion to be some 19-15 shades lighter!! She most definitely has got skin lightening done, and her daughter has undergone all sorts of surgeries + skin lightening too. Just speaks to how sad the industry is. Even DP did for BM.
