Are today's outsiders also lacking?

Debates in other threads got me thinking.

It has been ages since we last saw outsiders like Dharam, Amitabh, Hema, Sri, Madhuri, Meenakshi, Ash, Sush, PC, Vinod Khanna, Dev Anand, Meena Kumari, Madhubala, Nargis, Preity, Anushka, Shilpa, Juhi, Akshay, SRK, Mithun, Jeetendra, Naseer, Om, Rajinikanth, Sanjeev Kumar, Amol Palekar, Mahima, Bipasha, Manoj, Pankaj, Ashutosh, Deepika, Asin etc.

I am yet to see an actor or actress who caught fancy of others the way, say SRK got noticed on TV itself in those grainy video quality Doordarshan serials.

Or the way people kept looking at Ash from the Pepsi ad itself.

We used to think Sush was lesser actor but today even she seems better than many actors of today.

Is it just preferences for nepo kids and bringing down outsiders or do outsiders also lack the talent, charisma, instant connect that actors had earlier?

I never thought Asin was much of a good actor but even she seems better than many plastic girls of today.

The problem is lack of talent, charisma, screen presence in general and probably not just gangs and groups in industry, no?

Rajkumar Rao, Kartik Aryan may have talent but I am sorry I do not see massy quality in them like SRK had for eg.

There is general talent, beauty, charisma deficit now?
