Bollywood’s young and promising actor Ayushmann Khurrana starrer 2019 comedy film Dream Girl, is all set to return with its sequel titled Dream Girl 2. The previous part featured Nushrratt Bharucha turned-out-to be a blockbuster success, grossing Rs. 200 crore worldwide, against an average budget of Rs. 28. crore.
Dream Girl 2 leads Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday started the shoot in mid 2021. Initially it was supposed to go on floors in June, however, since the movie is being shot in North India, it got messy amid the rains, so the makers delayed several times now.
ABOUT DREAM GIRL 2
Dream Girl 2 traces the journey of a small-town boy Karam (played by Ayushmann Khurrana) who is trying to live a serious life in Mathura. He falls in love with Pari (played by Ananya Panday) but life is hell bent on not taking him seriously. In a turn of events, Karam becomes Pooja which creates further chaos in his already chaotic life. The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.
Dream Girl 2 Movie Story Line
The plot of Dream Girl follows Karma veer Singh, who, like his 1st movie, finds himself in problem after deciding to live by courting people over the phone in a womanly tone. However, the story and the characters in the next Dream Girl 2 film are rumour to have undergone some changes.
DREAM GIRL 2 GETS A NEW RELEASE DATE
Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday have teamed up for the first time for Dream Girl 2. Going by the film’s trailer which released in September, we are intrigued to see what Ayushmann has in store for the audience this time. The film, which was earlier speculated to release on June 29, 2023, will now release on July 7, 2023. While the reason behind the change is still not known, a possible cause could be the film’s box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (June 2, 2023), Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush (June 16, 2023) and Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani’s Satyaprem Ki Katha (June 29, 2023).\

Dream Girl 2 Star Cast
Ayushmann Khurrana was confirmed as the lead for Dream Girl 2 since its starting. Pre-pandemic time was good for Ayushmann, his post-pandemic releases including Anubhav Sinha directorial despite having a big budget and a promising story couldn’t perform well at the box-office, big failure of his career.
In the meantime, the headlines regarding the female lead of the film were creating the buzz. It was being said that TV actress Tejasswi Prakash who is ruling hearts as Pratha in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 6 is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Dream Girl 2 but none other than Liger star Ananya Panday roped in the lead female characters for this film.
