18th Feb Quick Review: Shawaash Hai Teri Jammanwaale De
Today was a Santosh-bari episode. And no, I do not mean literal happiness. I am talking about our dear dear and did I say dearest vamp-maata.
Pretty sure the actress got paid over-time because there was barely 1 minute in the whole episode without her.
Okay let's jump right in...
Scene 1: At the Chawla Real Estate
Well, this one we had totally expected and nobody was very surprised to see her mortgage her house for loan. I was just thankful that Chawla veerji dropped the amount from 50lakhs to 20lakhs or my Sahiba would have been done for. She is still done, but still.
I couldn't help but laugh how she was making badi badi vaadhe about how she is going to return the money - please, we all know it will end up in Sahiba's head in the end, and how 20lakhs will be nothing but dirt in her hands once Seerat gets married to Angad.

So technically, this woman is selling her daughter for money? I know I should not be harsh but I don't think she wants her daughters to have a happy rich life. She wants them to make her rich and live in luxury through their marriages.
She never once thought that she should encourage them to learn more and become kaabil and stand on their own feet and make money. This woman always need shortcut.
Scene 2: At the Monga House
Santosh is literally me when it comes to shopping. She does not think about the consequences and simply splurge all the money. So what's the difference between me and her?
I spend my own earnings and I shop with two zeroes less.
I get that shaadi shopping is extravagant but itna extravagance toh shaayad Brars bhi na dikhaaye.
Special mention of how Seerat could not agree to give 1 suit piece to her sister.

And the way Santosh was talking to Sahiba as if this girl does not carry the entire weight of this family on her back! What kind of mother is this? Favoritism really makes a person delusional and blind to the suffering of their other children.
I felt so bad when Keerat was shocked by the fake love Santosh was showering on her to escape Sahiba's questions. For a kid to be surprised by their mother's affection.... and that affection to be fake.... that's a different kind of messed up.

But our Keerat is right on as always.
Why go to Chawla's office?
Yeah, I was hanging out with my lafandar friends, so? What were you doing?
So you skipped all these houses and went there straight to give an invitation? Not to house but office?
And my favorite was when she said, "Duniya ki sabse selfish ladki has spoken up!"
Keerat really sees her sister and mother for who they really are but she can't do anything about it because she does not have the power. And the one who holds the power, Sahiba, will rather pourliquid copper into her ears than hear anything bad about them!
AND Santosh lies, that Sudha maasi gave the money. One phone call would have cleared that confusion. But no, in ITV no one talks to no one.

Scene 3: At Sudha Maasi's House
Boring conversations and I really thought Lucky Arora will be a more colorful character but nope. He turned out to be the younger brother of that Lohri waala manager saab.
As for the precap
Only thing that made me happy is that we get to see Veerat.
Angad called Sahiba 'idiot ladki'. And all I have to say to that is, "Idiot is a noun, not an adjective, you IDIOT!"
