Poll
Which Modern day Director has the best hattrick of movies
Poll Choice |
---|
Which Director has the best hattrick of movies - their first three movies which were box office HITs or received critical acclaim or both
Some notable mentions who missed the boat because of one or more movies not meeting the criteria
Farah Khan [Mai Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan]
Rakeysh Omprakash [Aks, Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6]
Sriram Raghavan [Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar, Agent Vinod]
Anurag Kashyap [Paanch, Black Friday, No Smoking] - zero box office
Hirani would run away with this award. Only other director that came to mind was Bhansali.
Rajkumar Hirani easily.
Mani Ratnam was on a roll - Nayakan, Agninachatram, Geethanjali, Anjali, Thalapathi, Thiruda Thiruda, Roja, Bombay, Iruvar, Dil Se, Alaipayuthey (original of Saathiya), Yuva, Guru, Raavanan
Also Anand L. Rai: Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa, TWMR
SLB should be Ram Leela, BM & Padmavati
I like Hirani and Barjatya
All these directors should direct more movies especially rajkumar Hirani just minus those vulgar jokes
Farhan Akhtar and Rajkumar Hirani
Finally a poll I like...although again it isn't easy to choose between the ones I favour (among those listed): Hirani, the Akhtar siblings, Imtiaz, Aditya and Bhansali.
I take Farhan...his three first movies are very different from each other (and I prefered his Don remake to the Amitji-Don).
