Even positive reviews of the movie didn’t like her role, her acting, or the romantic angle of the movie. And we’ve all seen the trolling memes that have come out in the last 3-4 days. I don’t think it’s out of realm of possibilities that Alia’s ego and PR would throw Ayan under the bus and blame him for all of it.

LOL her acting and characterization was soo bad in the film that I cant even 🤪

Do you mean the movie itself or a movie about how the work around the/a movie can be affected by a certain kind of "love triangle" (director/writer towards the leading man + the leading woman towards the leading man)?

And Alia has another support system which isn't the kind of Karan's.

She knew what she was getting into, didn’t she? There were actresses like Katrina who made such roles enticing and added value to the project.There are actresses who are not privileged like Alia willing to give an arm and a leg for such a role and make it work. If anything, this exposed Alia’s limitations in not being able to perform if the role is not author backed.

I agree though, she is obviously not over until she decides to hang her boots on her own. That’s a no brainer.

The title is very catchy n sarcasm by the writer lol 😂 . I like Alia as an actress who as done gangubhai darlings this year but in this movie her role/character was wasted. She was like Lois lane in Superman but at least Lois at a purpose then just being his cheerleader like Alia was to the Kapoor lad !!

I meant this, there are so few movies about film making dynamics actually

ones I can remember are luck by chance and khamosh (old by vinod chopra)

Wait for part 2. They will give her a role befitting her stature.🤣 When Ayan wrote this part she was a newcomer, how could he have predicted she would be a bigger star than Ranbir when it released. But he did leave a hint of Isha wearing Dev's ring to improve the character in next part.
