When Brahmastra started filming, they just needed a fresh pairing. I doubt anyone thought Alia was going to become this massive star and the more successful star of the movie. So that’s the kind of role she got, like PC in Krissh . It’s unfortunate because Alia deserves better. If anything if rumors are true then sounds like Deepika is going to get the meatier role.

Couldn't he have casted her for something else. I mean, there are so many Astras, just make her one of them (not mother, ofcourse not) and scrap the romance.
