Alia ka so called acting talent bhi expose ho gaya, jab director is not working for you tab dikha na ki kya karti hai ye

Well, I tend to blame Ayan for that (without being Alia's PR or even her fan) and I won't shy away from writing down my assumptions.

1st - Alia had not been HIS choice, she was imposed on him.

2nd - He knew that Alia was in love with Ranbir (and also fangirling about him) which may have annoyed Ayan because of his own feelings for Ranbir (jealousy can produce ugly things).

3rd - Ranbir did not seem to feel comfortable in the romantic interactions (he litterally PLAYED romantic).

4th - The idea of a veritable love story was imposed on him so he had to change the script several times (which again annoyed him mightily).

5th - He made (scriptwise and directoringwise) Alia the weakest person/actor in the movie so that she definitely would not be praised and more than that also ridiculed.

Imo, it reekes of vengeance towards Karan (by whom he felt betrayed) and anger because of a certain behaviour by Alia on the sets and beyond. I think he even felt betrayed by Ranbir...

All these thoughts may have some real substance (or not) but it is - for me - a valuable explanation for something that made him not only let down the movie but also the spectators. So, I think, he deserves to be blamed.

I would pay to see this scripted and directed by Anurag Kashyap, make it edgy and dark, cannes d' or assured

Actually Alia was supposed to do an action role (Hence she used to accompany Ranbir to Germany and other places to train herself for action sequences) but during the first schedule she dislocated her shoulder (Action karna sab ki bas ki baat nahin hai. Even Ranbir gives I-shat-in-my-pants expression while doing action). Doctor told her to avoid heavy action scenes for 2 years, hence Ayan quickly turned the character a damsel in distress from an action queen.

I remember this happened right at the end of her Brahmastra schedule and she was seen wearing sling on Gully Boy sets. That time news was she injured herself while doing action scene.

Ayan could have hired a body double to do Alia's action scenes instead of reducing her role to an half baked annoying love interest.

Aur Alia bira ki acting ka bashing to mai expect Kiya hi nahi tha wo merko Diwali bonus mil gaya

Matlab mai every side se happy hu Brahmastra se 👍🏼
